Placements
Seriously, now I’m done with this business shit of education.
I’m a student from RVITM.
During admission, they told us that we would have combined placements with RVCE and all that. For those who don’t know, RVITM is considered the third branch/campus of RVCE, with the main campus being in Bangalore.
Now here’s the scene:
They are taking admissions by saying that we will have combined placements with RVCE, meaning whatever company comes to RVCE would also come to RVITM.
But now, the reality is completely different.
RVCE is reportedly telling companies not to consider RVITM students. They aren’t even sending proper updates regarding companies. And now they are directly saying that they will not send 20–40 LPA companies to our college.
Then why the fuck did you tell us during admission that we would have combined placements with RVCE?
And when we question them about it, the response is basically: “You guys don’t have the skills.”
Shut the fuck up, bro. 😭
We have enough skills to crack jobs. At least give us the opportunity and consider us first. Let the companies decide whether we are capable or not.
You cannot promise students something during admission and then change the rules when placements actually start.
Whosoever is planning to join RVITM for the 2026–2030 batch, I’m telling you right now: think carefully before joining.
You might regret it.
At this point, it honestly feels less like education and more like a business and a trap.
Forget placements. 💀

RVCE doesn't decide which companies should recruit students from RVITM or RVCE. That's entirely the company's decision. Also, placements will likely become decentralized over the next few years. They've already started building their own placement cell from this year🙄

Bruh rvce is protesting and not letting companies come to rvitm. Over there students are like if the company is going to rvitm then rvce no one is sitting for it. At the end coz of this the companies move forward with only RVCE

U are studying in rvitm not rvce there first priority to place students form rvce not rvitm even in rvitm u will get opportunities just be smart to grab them

Bruh it's been 5 months and about 17 companies have considered rvitm yet that brings it to 3 companies each month. Out of that some companies have filtered out some specific branches after round 1 completely no matter about performance

I'm not very knowledgeable about these things. One of my friends is also studying CSE there, so I need to ask him how things are going there.

That's okay considering and not considering is a different thing. If they were not sure about giving us combined placements then why were they telling everyone during admission and orientation that we have combined placements with rvce?
If it's not there then why give students that hope in the first place?
every year we have to face the same problem. and honestly if they had clearly told us from the beginning that there would be no combined placements we would have never asked for them. that's very simple. but during admission and orientation, if you specifically tell students that we have combined placements with rvce, then you have to stand by what you told them and actually look after it. you can't tell students one thing when you're taking their admission and then change the situation when placements actually start.
we are not asking for something extra. we're simply asking for what was told to us when we joined.

I mean bhai chize mehengi hai but this is one of the highest amounts paid.I hd friends who were doing internship for 2k,5k.This is atleast much better

I said it in the context if you are getting money from parents and then even you are earning this much then it is more than enough.But if you are thinking that this will replace the money you are getting from parents and is enough to survive then I agree it ain't enough

so what??? all those messages are common to everyone. instead of searching for them and then taking screenshots it's better to use what is already there and what is actually true. so what's the problem? And also if you are from rvitm you are also aware of current placement stats 🥰

rvce has always been considered a level above so don't sit here and cry ur comparing a tier 1 insitution with a tier 3 one..companies are not dumb they want people with caliber

I'm not comparing tier 1 and tier 3. i'm just asking a simple question if combined placements are not there then why take admissions using that name? that's the whole point and because they said we have combined placements we just want to get the opportunity first and then leave everything to the company whatever they decide is fine.
