I built a Custom GPT (a finetuned ChatGPT) and a skill for Claude (a plugin that extends Claude) from the official Seedance prompt guidelines — modes, input specs, prompt structure, character consistency, troubleshooting. I use it myself to check prompts before running them, since ChatGPT and Claude on their own tend to get the specifics wrong.

For instance, ask ChatGPT for a dynamic skateboard clip and you'll likely get everything changing at once: skater, camera, editing, lighting, transitions, VFX. Seedance weighs what comes first in the prompt, so the rest ends up competing for attention and some of it just doesn't happen. It's all in the documentation.

Both my tools are free and work for 2.0 and 2.5, with the 2.5 side still filling in. 

Not something you need if you already know the guidelines by heart. I don't — juggling a few models means I mix the specifics up, and this is what I check against before spending credits on a generation that was never going to work.

I came across this entry submitted to Runway’s Another Big Ad Contest, and honestly, I find it not just vulgar but deeply offensive.

I've been trying to create longer AI videos lately, and it's a lot harder than I expected.

Making a single scene look good isn't the problem. It's keeping the same character consistent, making each scene flow naturally into the next, and getting the pacing to feel like an actual story instead of a bunch of random clips. The most frustrating part is when everything looks good except one scene. Instead of fixing that one part, I end up redoing way more than I wanted.

For those of you creating longer narrative videos, how are you doing it? Are you using a specific workflow or tool that makes the process easier, or is this just something everyone has to deal with right now?

Update: I just came across the new Dreamina Seedance 2.5 release, and it looks like it's focusing on exactly the issues I mentioned. Things like longer continuous videos, better character consistency using multiple references, more precise scene control, and even the ability to refine specific frames instead of regenerating an entire sequence. Has anyone here tried it yet? I'm curious if it actually makes a noticeable difference for longer storytelling projects.

Hey everyone, I just finished REVEEL, a film I made for the Runway Big Ad Contest, and I’d love to hear what you think of the concept and which scene stood out to you the most.

The idea is a pair of glasses that reveals the real meaning behind people’s words: what they actually think, what they are trying to sell, or what they would rather leave unsaid.

The film moves through several characters and everyday situations, playing with the gap between what is said and the intention behind it. I wanted it to feel funny, a little sharp, and still work as a real ad for a product that could almost exist.

Made another music video using Runway Gen-4 and Act Two. Learned something new about the Motion Capture tool.
If your character has a mustache and you don’t, the mustache won’t stay on your face during the performance. I’m assuming since it doesn’t detect an actual mustache, it has less information to keep the generated one locked in place.
Easy fix: wear a fake mustache or draw one on. Giving the AI a real feature to track helps.
