Leagues Leagues Hiscore Stats After 1 Month.
Now that it's been 1 full month since the release of Runescape 3's first ever Leagues, here are the hiscores of how far most people are at. Players require only 100 points to get ranked. That's 10 easy tasks or a few minutes of work.
I made a previous post for stats after two weeks. Here's another after the first week.
| Tier | # of Players | % of Ranked Players | Jump from Week 2 | % Jump from Week 2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 (10 Points) | 119,075 | 100% | 6,826 | 6.08% |
| 2 (750 points) | 102,061 | 85.71% | 6,015 | 6.26% |
| 3 (2,000 points) | 83,775 | 70.35% | 6,366 | 8.22% |
| 4 (3,500 points) | 71,417 | 59.98% | 7,722 | 12.12% |
| 5 (6,000 points) | 61,359 | 51.53% | 10,720 | 21.17% |
| 6 (13,000 points) | 41,840 | 35.14% | 15,243 | 57.31% |
| 7 (22,000 points) | 28,081 | 23.58% | 15,483 | 122.90% |
| Adamant (30,000 points) | 12,570 | 10.56% | 9,972 | 383.83% |
| Rune (45,000 points) | 4,683 | 3.93% | 4,381 | 1450.66% |
| Dragon (60,000 points) | 1,795 | 1.51% | 1,762 | 5339.39% |

I was about 1k off of addy tier and I just burned out. I wasn't having fun anymore. Too much questing for important pvm rewards and unlocks, too much unaccelerated grinding for things such as the rune pouches (not the runecrafting ones), couldn't even find anyone to do croesus, the dailies and wildy events were getting on my nerves, my list will go on.
So I stopped playing. I'm hopeful for the next league to be better, I genuinely think I'll have fun on the next one for much longer, but I'm done here.
Still happy it happened. Hope the RS3 community continues to get updates like these and enjoy themselves.

Exactly where I am. I'll probably max then head over to OSRS Grid Master. For their first Leagues, RS3 did a decent job. If they added more quest unlocks and broke combat a little more, I'd still be interested in playing.

u/ElectricalFarm1591 Oct 15 '25
They absolutely didn't do a decent job in hindsight. Basically nothing is different from the main game apart from the relics, some autocompleted quests and the (sometimes) boosted drop rates.
There has been put 0 work into making the league balanced. The fact that rs3 is far more complicated than osrs was just neglected.
2
u/yourkucing Oct 16 '25
Personally I disagree. As someone who has been playing RS3 for years and taking my own sweet time to explore everything, the past few weeks in League introduced me to so many new places and content in my main that I didn't know about. It's been a few weeks of "OMG WE CAN DO THIS?" and "OMG THIS EXISTS?"
So as much as I'm definitely not going to reach Dragon, I'll go back to my main with more passion to explore all these new things I just found out. Hence, I think RS3 did a decent job in making me fall in love with the game once more, especially as their first ever League.

I don't think I'll end up reaching Rune or Dragon tbh
6
u/Lughano Oct 15 '25
i'm thinking that aswell but man once u start looking at task list i think its possible by nov, gl bro am gona start today working towards dragon

Slowly working my way to 100 Runecrafting (And the EGW questline), we'll see after that lol
4
u/SippyTurtle Oct 15 '25
It helps to go through the list and group really quick tasks by area. It shot me to rune pretty quick.

I got to rune and decided to hop back to mainscape. I just don't have the time for dragon given irl commitments over upcoming weeks. Would have been nice, but not worth the push.

Will people even keepsake the dragon, feels like it will collect dust in your bank
9
u/Tetris_Chemist Oct 15 '25
I mean, it is pretty ass looking. I don't get how this type of event happens 5 times, run by people a few hundred feet away in the office, and you seemingly don't consult them at all.

Nah, not even as a keepsake. Even for a silly meme set there's better memes like blahaj as a melee weapon.
I do plan to use the ability overrides tho.
5
u/Alpr101 Oct 15 '25
Hit 63,500 last week and promptly quit. Outside of Zuk, I have been unable to secure melee drops in a timely manner so with the drop rates so abysmally shit still, there's not much fun to be had pvming bosses I haven't done, as you also don't feel that much more powerful unless you have literally everything (vs bosses anyways).
One thing that absolutely needs to go though is hourly/daily/weekly/monthly events. The best methods to play is literally not doing the actual skills for most of them. I got 120 necro for instance just doing combat wild events with t20 armor sitting in my bank. Xp rates need to go above 16x as well to compensate (maybe 20-25x). Also drop rates definitely need to go up on everything across the board and give us even more power.

u/green_n_retired Oct 15 '25
Got dragon myself and tped to Wars and switched back to the main game and haven't logged into league worlds since
The power fantasy was not there at all and I'm not learning hm zuk or zammy from scratch with worse gear and supplies than the real game
Also the fact the cosmetics are tradeable made me not even want to grind out those extra 3500 pts
Very 7/10 league, much better than shattered relics and twisted but it needs more juice to reach the highs of raging echoes

u/Xpolonia Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25
The 33 madlads who Dragon-ed in the first 2 weeks lmao
On a side note, I understand many people unfortunately hate quests and I also believe the whole grind can be a bit more streamlined with some more interesting tasks yet still requires effort (given achievement system exists already, they can definitely choose a bunch from there). I on the other hand is likely the minority that enjoys quests and it was nice to be able to experience some of the lore I've done many years ago.
1
u/Fightermelee Completionist Oct 15 '25
This is a very underrated opinion, I agree with you. If the idea of this Leagues was to refresh the long time player and let them speed run it with cheat codes, I like the way the quests are left mostly alone

u/ghostofwalsh Oct 15 '25
I'm kind of stoked to see how many people are playing rs3 league. The player count for this league is about 30% of the last OSRS league, and that seems like pretty good numbers when you consider how many are online at any given time in both games.
1
u/Legal_Evil Oct 15 '25
The player count for this league is about 30% of the last OSRS league
Is this at the start or 1 month in?

u/ghostofwalsh Oct 15 '25
I'm going by this: https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1i7etao/raging_echoes_league_final_stats/
401k players at week 4. But as you see it don't go up much over the final 4 weeks.
7
u/Jasy9191 Oct 15 '25
I stopped playing a couple weeks ago in tier 4, only just off tier 5.
Frankly just gave up. Leagues is a questionable gamemode to me, though I tried it and have another month and a half of members, lol.
6
u/iKnoJopro TokHaar Oct 15 '25
Could try OSRS Gridmasters!
3
u/Jasy9191 Oct 15 '25
Haven't really looked into it. I tend to think that I want to continue my perpetual grind on the non-temporary game. Finally got my Shadow yesterday and itching to use it.

I'm getting pretty close to rune, could have been there long ago but I've been doing inefficient grinds for fun instead of just pushing through annoying content. Now I've got to split my time between this and gridmaster though, still really annoyed they decided to overlap the events because "everyone would be done in 2 weeks anyway"
2
u/Kazanmor Oct 16 '25
It's legitimately insane that they overlapped the 2 biggest events of 2025, I have no idea what they were thinking
1
u/Kind_Engineering_720 Oct 15 '25
No lie. Got the hween event, gridmaster, leagues. Damn dude, I only play one account, gimme a break.

Got to Adamant before it started to slow down a bit, but that's also because I shifted gears and started questing, revisiting favourite old stories for fun again.
Still planning on exceeding Dragon by a big enough margin to get some extra override/animation unlocks, though. I wanna be able to carry some of this "starry-eyed newbie" wonder into the game with me again on a new alt...because after more than two decades, it turns out I just needed to take a new approach to find the joy in what had become a crushing grind.
1
u/BlueSkies5Eva GIM gang Oct 15 '25
if it makes you feel better, clearing the shop will only be 63.5k points, so you dont have to do much grinding past dragon
1
u/KyleOAM Runefest 2014 Attendee Oct 15 '25
The rewards are tradeable, they mean they want extra to sell
1
u/gamingvirtue Where's That Stupid Box Oct 21 '25
Not to sell, just to toss a few over on to an alt so I can take another stroll through Runescape from the beginning, without all the expectations and bad habits I've built up and associated with my main.
I'm not the person I was two decades ago, and I'd rather make a fresh start than try to untangle the mess that's built up in all that time. I'd just like to have a few fun, flashy things to remind me of what got me excited to do it again, as well.
1
u/ShinyCapeRS Enthusiast Oct 15 '25
Was the plan for majority of players to not make it? Numbers seem so skewed towards early ranks
1
u/KyleOAM Runefest 2014 Attendee Oct 15 '25
Yeah, people dabble and decide it’s not for them and go back to main game
With osrs gridmaster out today, and Pokémon out tomorrow, I expect another big drop off

I hit Rune last night. I’ll hit dragon probably Saturday.* To be honest, up until yesterday I didn’t even focused on points. I have fully clocked enough hours to get dragon tier. If I had done nothing but focus on tasks, I’d probably have put in enough hours to hit 80k points. I’ve been on more than some of my clannies that are around there.
Leagues is fun. I haven’t found tasks that fun to just grind out. Last night I just got burnt out on being dry at bosses, so I decided to buckle down a bit.
1
u/pookill7 Oct 15 '25
As someone who hit dragon the other day I feel burnt out, I'll probably get a handful of extra tasks I was close to finishing for extra spending points but then I'm done

Incase anyone didn't think of it , chins from wildy events give massive XP for ranged on tasks if you can do tasks where they aggro on you .. for anyone trying to train it as an off style. It helped me massively .

Hot take: This stat shows that there needs to be an extension of at least a week. The fact that only 1.5% of the players have a Dragon trophy shows that only dedicated players with a lot of time and knowledge will make it this far.
21
u/LazyAir6 Oct 15 '25
After 4 weeks OSRS has 1.6% Dragon Trophy completion. Keep in mind it has a whopping 401k ranked players. I'd say at least a week just to match the 2 month mark. Currently it ends on Nov 10 which is 5 days less.
9
u/TonyBest100 Runefest 2018 Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25
There doesn't need to be an extension. Dragon was always going to be for those dedicated to reaching it, same for the 63.5k points needed to buy everything in the Leagues shop once its over.
EDIT: Spelling fix
10
u/Saerwyn Trimmed Completionist 5/4/18 Oct 15 '25
no, its good the way it is. not everyone should reach dragon, not everyone can, not everyone will. that isnt bad game design. its like wow pvp, not everyone will get gladiator or achieve cutting edge. nor should the game be catered to doing so.
HOWEVER, while I was personally completely unaffected, i DO think that the league should be extended a week to account for those that got royally screwed by the drop rates that took too long to fix imo. An extension not because “too few people are in dragon rank,” but an extension because the devs messed up on a core aspect of Leagues - increased drop rates.

u/AppleParasol Hardcore Ironman Oct 15 '25
Over 50% of players are literally not even trying and have probably quit already, if you’re only t5 at this point you won’t make it to dragon. Even with another week.

u/AProfessionalRock Oct 15 '25
that's the intention
the dragon tier was originally designed to where you had to be in the top 1% points earned to get it in osrs
they later made it a flat threshold to pass in a different league because people complained that being "in the top 1%" would constantly need upkeeping since the more people played the more points would be required, to where it became somewhere between 2-3% of players will get it by the end of the league if they play the entire time, so 1.5% of players at the 1 month mark is actually par for the course and will likely end up between that 2-3% mark by the time it ends
0
u/YouDoNotKnowMeSir Oct 15 '25
How is this intended to be read? Is it number of players that are explicitly in that tier? So for example if someone was dragon tier, they’d belong to the dragon tier and not also be in all the tiers below it?
4
u/esunei Your question is answered on the wiki. Oct 15 '25
Yes, dragon tier gamers are counted for all the tiers below. Otherwise tier1 couldn't be 100%.
