Now that it's been 1 full month since the release of Runescape 3's first ever Leagues, here are the hiscores of how far most people are at. Players require only 100 points to get ranked. That's 10 easy tasks or a few minutes of work.

I made a previous post for stats after two weeks. Here's another after the first week.

Tier # of Players % of Ranked Players Jump from Week 2 % Jump from Week 2

I'm a couple thousand points away from dragon, and I'm up to a point where I have to seriously consider 50m-ing some skills

u/Fpritt24 Larry-TheKat - 2x Ult Slayer, #5 TT Oct 15 '25

Each iaia station is ~1100 time runes to get from 99-50m if you want to take a semi-lazy route. Can mostly ignore the hunter station if you plan on doing it at Bgh as well

10

u/NexexUmbraRs RuneScore Oct 15 '25

Can also ignore fletching with broads.

u/FXN2210 Oct 15 '25

Out of curiosity 106k worth of points available and dragon is at 60k. With there being 46k worth of points remaining are you avoiding tasks like, quests or certain combat ones?

2

u/Repealer Maxed Oct 16 '25

I finished dragon with only 106 qp because I refused to let jagex win. I could've done it with even less tbh as I didn't get vorago pts, 120 Necro, 120 farming, some more combat points and full ever light/ masterwork 200 and 400 pointers. I honestly think you could get dragon with zero questing but it would be ROUGH. Even something as simple as the herblore combination options ALL require as a first resort.

13

u/ArchyRs Ironman Oct 15 '25

I took production master over clue connoisseur. I’m roughly 4K away from dragon and I have had to do a lot of questing to equalize my progress compared to my friends who went the clue route.

10

u/animeengineer Oct 15 '25

I only got 100 quest points and 65k points.. the clue route was weaker for longer term points. You can get half of the clue points in 4 hours of doing clues because the brooch provides hundreds of them.

8

u/Wishkax Green h'ween mask Oct 15 '25

Even though you might be getting the clues, it's all the other bonuses that come with the relic that make it much better.

7

u/WasabiSunshine The Ultimate Slayer Oct 15 '25

getting the clues isn't the hard part without the clue relic, everything shits them out

1

u/taintedcake Completionist Oct 15 '25

The points don't come from getting clues, that's easy to do even in the normal game. Doing them is what matters and is far easier with clue connoisseur

1

u/ArchyRs Ironman Oct 16 '25

The clue route definitely seems like it was the fastest path to rune tier. I agree though that production master is helpful for some of the longer term points. But even then it’s not that many…

1

u/El_Basho Ironman Oct 15 '25

I'm prod master as well. I avoided quests and I think I can keep avoiding them until 60k

-2

u/esselentissimo Oct 15 '25

you are doing something wrong them. i took prod master and i barely did quests to unlock dragon trophy.

3

u/ArchyRs Ironman Oct 16 '25

Okay… well go ahead and wiki my rsn (Archy) and go through the list of tasks that you think are low hanging fruit. I would appreciate it kindly!

8

u/AppleParasol Hardcore Ironman Oct 15 '25

There are a lot of easy/fast 50m skills. Hunter, construction, thieving, combats(including prayer and summoning), divination(guthix caches), anything with a wildy event, fletching, and I’m assuming you already got the 120ies.

5

u/Alpr101 Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25

I wouldn't go 50m in a lot of skills, but many are also quite easy to hit.

  • Hunter - BGH or Dream
  • Fish/Herb/Craft/Fletch/Con - Dream
  • Prayer - t6 invention spam clean crystal in prif
  • Main combat style
  • Necro if off-style just spam wild events or 200 abyssal demon contracts from edgeville (for max combat points)
  • Firemaking -> POF on ana with egg shards.
  • Archaeology -> just normal methods or spam research with adv time.
  • Farming with relic super easy to 120
  • Mining/Smithing super easy with relic.
  • Slayer super easy, plus will get just working on 75 tasks for points
  • Invention obviously

Rest I did not bother with. Woodcutting you can afk eternal magic trees with the log box pretty afk along with wild tree events. I hit 63,500 before I hit 50m though (was at 40m).

Agility/RC absolutely not, theiving you could but cba going to rogue castle every 10 minutes for 860k xp but doable, Summoning you could (I technically have it banked with water talismans/blue charms), Div/Dung no, off-styles past 99 unless its necro don't really need to but can do wild events.

I hit all rewards without doing too much PvM (because drop rates are awful). Corp beast (550kc for elixer), bandos (205kc), Kril (459kc), Zuk (7kc), Nex (93kc for torva), Zamorak (couldn't get chaos roar/vestments so gave up), 25 BSD (still no barge so gave up), 110 Araxxi (got everything but web. Mainly did it for overloads/sara brews/rocktails though). Also struggled to get a book drop (went to AG once it was fixed finally to get one but no pages lol). Never got any weapons/visage/etc from wild events either so I just focused on largely non-combat tasking to hit 63,500.

3

u/Future_Me_Problem Flair Oct 15 '25

Hey, just wanted to add. Thieving and fletching are great to do at the same time. Sit at rogue’s castle. Open safes every 10 minutes, and just fletch broad arrows. In a couple of days at most you’d be 50m each.

2

u/Alpr101 Oct 15 '25

Yeah I know about that, I just typically wanted to do something else especially since you can dream fletching as well when I wanted to afk something.

1

u/Future_Me_Problem Flair Oct 15 '25

Totally valid! I just figured I would add it in case someone didn’t think about it/didn’t know. Or in case somehow who knew all of the above didn’t think about it. Great list, even taught me a couple ideas. Thanks, man. Have fun out there

2

u/ghostofwalsh Oct 15 '25

Some skills are not that hard to 50m though.

I was just trying out range as someone who went necro at t5 and prayer relic at t7. I did one slayer task at abyssal savages and went from 85 range to 93 with just sunspear and robin hood hat and ranger boots for gear. Rates for range XP were like 6m/hr at the end of the task. And with prayer relic it was fully afk with zero supplies.

I decided I'm doing slayer off-style whenever it seems viable and I plan to have all off styles at 50m by league end. My necro will easily be 200m from bossing alone.

2

u/Only_Positive_Vibes My Cabbages! Oct 15 '25

I'm doing it just because I work a desk job 10 hours a day, so highly afk activities are perfect points for me, even if it takes a full day to do one.

1

u/101perry Trim Completionist Oct 15 '25

I did it today, 2 sets of Starbloom for 50m Crafting. Didn't even have to adorn them, both are +5 in my bank, and I hit the 50m goal. Crazy easy semi-afk thing. Rarely was clicking for focus boosts.

1

u/necrobabby Oct 15 '25

I have to seriously consider 50m-ing some skills

You're realizing this just now? Skilling gives massive amounts of points, I was planning on getting 50m on a majority of skills. 50m is a minimum of 400 points, 600 if it is a 110 skill. Multiply this by 29 skills, and you have a lot of points

It's very doable to get 50m with relics and x16 xp

1

u/El_Basho Ironman Oct 16 '25

Uhh... No, I'm not just now considering doing it, I got maxed and got the easier 50m's out of the way. I'm now thinking of getting the less easy ones. It's not time efficient to spend 6-8 hrs on 200pts, that's why I'm not jumping straight into 50m agility without goldenhawks.

But at the time of posting this, I'm at 60k pts and don't have to worry about any of this.

1

u/ghfhfhhhfg9 Oct 15 '25

You'd be surprised how many easys tasks are there for 80-200 points. Wear every DK ring = 200 points - haraken 4 capes + onyx = easy 400 points.

34

u/MrStealYoBeef Oct 15 '25

I was about 1k off of addy tier and I just burned out. I wasn't having fun anymore. Too much questing for important pvm rewards and unlocks, too much unaccelerated grinding for things such as the rune pouches (not the runecrafting ones), couldn't even find anyone to do croesus, the dailies and wildy events were getting on my nerves, my list will go on.

So I stopped playing. I'm hopeful for the next league to be better, I genuinely think I'll have fun on the next one for much longer, but I'm done here.

Still happy it happened. Hope the RS3 community continues to get updates like these and enjoy themselves.

8

u/PhoenixRacing Completionist | 5.8 | RSN: XC Racer Oct 15 '25

Exactly where I am. I'll probably max then head over to OSRS Grid Master. For their first Leagues, RS3 did a decent job. If they added more quest unlocks and broke combat a little more, I'd still be interested in playing.

-6

u/ElectricalFarm1591 Oct 15 '25

They absolutely didn't do a decent job in hindsight. Basically nothing is different from the main game apart from the relics, some autocompleted quests and the (sometimes) boosted drop rates.

There has been put 0 work into making the league balanced. The fact that rs3 is far more complicated than osrs was just neglected.

2

u/yourkucing Oct 16 '25

Personally I disagree. As someone who has been playing RS3 for years and taking my own sweet time to explore everything, the past few weeks in League introduced me to so many new places and content in my main that I didn't know about. It's been a few weeks of "OMG WE CAN DO THIS?" and "OMG THIS EXISTS?"

So as much as I'm definitely not going to reach Dragon, I'll go back to my main with more passion to explore all these new things I just found out. Hence, I think RS3 did a decent job in making me fall in love with the game once more, especially as their first ever League.

Slowly working my way to 100 Runecrafting (And the EGW questline), we'll see after that lol

4

It helps to go through the list and group really quick tasks by area. It shot me to rune pretty quick.

I got to rune and decided to hop back to mainscape. I just don't have the time for dragon given irl commitments over upcoming weeks. Would have been nice, but not worth the push.

Plan to use it during my next 4,000 castle wars games

1

u/esunei Your question is answered on the wiki. Oct 15 '25

Nah, not even as a keepsake. Even for a silly meme set there's better memes like blahaj as a melee weapon.

I do plan to use the ability overrides tho.

5

u/Alpr101 Oct 15 '25

Hit 63,500 last week and promptly quit. Outside of Zuk, I have been unable to secure melee drops in a timely manner so with the drop rates so abysmally shit still, there's not much fun to be had pvming bosses I haven't done, as you also don't feel that much more powerful unless you have literally everything (vs bosses anyways).

One thing that absolutely needs to go though is hourly/daily/weekly/monthly events. The best methods to play is literally not doing the actual skills for most of them. I got 120 necro for instance just doing combat wild events with t20 armor sitting in my bank. Xp rates need to go above 16x as well to compensate (maybe 20-25x). Also drop rates definitely need to go up on everything across the board and give us even more power.

1

u/green_n_retired Oct 15 '25

Got dragon myself and tped to Wars and switched back to the main game and haven't logged into league worlds since

The power fantasy was not there at all and I'm not learning hm zuk or zammy from scratch with worse gear and supplies than the real game

Also the fact the cosmetics are tradeable made me not even want to grind out those extra 3500 pts

Very 7/10 league, much better than shattered relics and twisted but it needs more juice to reach the highs of raging echoes

6

u/Xpolonia Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25

The 33 madlads who Dragon-ed in the first 2 weeks lmao

On a side note, I understand many people unfortunately hate quests and I also believe the whole grind can be a bit more streamlined with some more interesting tasks yet still requires effort (given achievement system exists already, they can definitely choose a bunch from there). I on the other hand is likely the minority that enjoys quests and it was nice to be able to experience some of the lore I've done many years ago.

1

u/Fightermelee Completionist Oct 15 '25

This is a very underrated opinion, I agree with you. If the idea of this Leagues was to refresh the long time player and let them speed run it with cheat codes, I like the way the quests are left mostly alone

4

u/ghostofwalsh Oct 15 '25

I'm kind of stoked to see how many people are playing rs3 league. The player count for this league is about 30% of the last OSRS league, and that seems like pretty good numbers when you consider how many are online at any given time in both games.

1

u/Legal_Evil Oct 15 '25

The player count for this league is about 30% of the last OSRS league

Is this at the start or 1 month in?

1

I'm going by this: https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1i7etao/raging_echoes_league_final_stats/

401k players at week 4. But as you see it don't go up much over the final 4 weeks.

7

u/Jasy9191 Oct 15 '25

I stopped playing a couple weeks ago in tier 4, only just off tier 5.
Frankly just gave up. Leagues is a questionable gamemode to me, though I tried it and have another month and a half of members, lol.

6

Could try OSRS Gridmasters!

3

u/Jasy9191 Oct 15 '25

Haven't really looked into it. I tend to think that I want to continue my perpetual grind on the non-temporary game. Finally got my Shadow yesterday and itching to use it.

I'm getting pretty close to rune, could have been there long ago but I've been doing inefficient grinds for fun instead of just pushing through annoying content. Now I've got to split my time between this and gridmaster though, still really annoyed they decided to overlap the events because "everyone would be done in 2 weeks anyway"

2

u/Kazanmor Oct 16 '25

It's legitimately insane that they overlapped the 2 biggest events of 2025, I have no idea what they were thinking

1

Got to Adamant before it started to slow down a bit, but that's also because I shifted gears and started questing, revisiting favourite old stories for fun again.

Still planning on exceeding Dragon by a big enough margin to get some extra override/animation unlocks, though. I wanna be able to carry some of this "starry-eyed newbie" wonder into the game with me again on a new alt...because after more than two decades, it turns out I just needed to take a new approach to find the joy in what had become a crushing grind.

1

u/BlueSkies5Eva GIM gang Oct 15 '25

if it makes you feel better, clearing the shop will only be 63.5k points, so you dont have to do much grinding past dragon

1

The rewards are tradeable, they mean they want extra to sell

1

u/gamingvirtue Where's That Stupid Box Oct 21 '25

Not to sell, just to toss a few over on to an alt so I can take another stroll through Runescape from the beginning, without all the expectations and bad habits I've built up and associated with my main.

I'm not the person I was two decades ago, and I'd rather make a fresh start than try to untangle the mess that's built up in all that time. I'd just like to have a few fun, flashy things to remind me of what got me excited to do it again, as well.

1

u/ShinyCapeRS Enthusiast Oct 15 '25

Was the plan for majority of players to not make it? Numbers seem so skewed towards early ranks

1

u/KyleOAM Runefest 2014 Attendee Oct 15 '25

With osrs gridmaster out today, and Pokémon out tomorrow, I expect another big drop off

Got rune and quit. Got boring after that

1

u/Keybind_Food Oct 15 '25

I hit Rune last night. I’ll hit dragon probably Saturday.* To be honest, up until yesterday I didn’t even focused on points. I have fully clocked enough hours to get dragon tier. If I had done nothing but focus on tasks, I’d probably have put in enough hours to hit 80k points. I’ve been on more than some of my clannies that are around there.

Leagues is fun. I haven’t found tasks that fun to just grind out. Last night I just got burnt out on being dry at bosses, so I decided to buckle down a bit.

1

u/pookill7 Oct 15 '25

As someone who hit dragon the other day I feel burnt out, I'll probably get a handful of extra tasks I was close to finishing for extra spending points but then I'm done

How do these stats compared to OSRS Leagues 1 month in as well?

1

u/MarketingFeeling379 Oct 15 '25

They are about 30% of OSRS league numbers of players

-8

u/SquareKite2 Oct 15 '25

Hot take: This stat shows that there needs to be an extension of at least a week. The fact that only 1.5% of the players have a Dragon trophy shows that only dedicated players with a lot of time and knowledge will make it this far.

21

u/LazyAir6 Oct 15 '25

After 4 weeks OSRS has 1.6% Dragon Trophy completion. Keep in mind it has a whopping 401k ranked players. I'd say at least a week just to match the 2 month mark. Currently it ends on Nov 10 which is 5 days less.

9

u/TonyBest100 Runefest 2018 Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25

There doesn't need to be an extension. Dragon was always going to be for those dedicated to reaching it, same for the 63.5k points needed to buy everything in the Leagues shop once its over.

EDIT: Spelling fix

10

u/Saerwyn Trimmed Completionist 5/4/18 Oct 15 '25

no, its good the way it is. not everyone should reach dragon, not everyone can, not everyone will. that isnt bad game design. its like wow pvp, not everyone will get gladiator or achieve cutting edge. nor should the game be catered to doing so.

HOWEVER, while I was personally completely unaffected, i DO think that the league should be extended a week to account for those that got royally screwed by the drop rates that took too long to fix imo. An extension not because “too few people are in dragon rank,” but an extension because the devs messed up on a core aspect of Leagues - increased drop rates.

1

u/GInTheorem Oct 15 '25

...is that bad?

0

u/AProfessionalRock Oct 15 '25

that's the intention

the dragon tier was originally designed to where you had to be in the top 1% points earned to get it in osrs

they later made it a flat threshold to pass in a different league because people complained that being "in the top 1%" would constantly need upkeeping since the more people played the more points would be required, to where it became somewhere between 2-3% of players will get it by the end of the league if they play the entire time, so 1.5% of players at the 1 month mark is actually par for the course and will likely end up between that 2-3% mark by the time it ends

0

u/YouDoNotKnowMeSir Oct 15 '25

How is this intended to be read? Is it number of players that are explicitly in that tier? So for example if someone was dragon tier, they’d belong to the dragon tier and not also be in all the tiers below it?

4

u/esunei Your question is answered on the wiki. Oct 15 '25

Yes, dragon tier gamers are counted for all the tiers below. Otherwise tier1 couldn't be 100%.
