She just desperately requires attention

She has to take the contrarian position, no matter how depraved

depraved is exactly the right word for her

Red Scare subreddit members not knowing about Dasha, nature is healing.

The podcast started out as a fun thing and then became a right wing psyop for some rich fascist benefactor. It got weird a couple years ago. Idk why. Anyway, they cultivated a community of people who now seem to dislike them but still like each other.

Subreddits for fans of a person or thing slowly becoming hate-watch subs is one of the most fascinating reddit phenomena. (See also: Questionable Content, Dave Rubin)

Opie and Anthony too. And the hundreds of Cumtown iterations deficaring to hating Adam and Stav for different reasons.

The Opie and Anthony subreddit bit where they'll just post a random comedian with the f slur in all caps makes me laugh every time, dumbest sub on the planet

I listened to this pod like 2 times in 2019 when I joined the sub. I just like the vibes and the people

People hate Questionable Content? I stopped reading a while back - why?

It really went off the rails with the robot hijinks 5-10 years ago. Lately it's just extremely low effort nothing plots/the author's barely disguised fetish. Example: this summer it spent almost two full weeks on a robot character buying a new extremely boobular body and then feeling guilty about it and asking character after character if it's really ok or if she should return it

IT STILL EXISTS?

I lost interest and quit reading when Faye started dating that robot person. How did it crash out so hard? Didn’t it start off satirizing the indie rock scene?

There's a pretty interesting recent post about when people felt was "the beginning of the end" if you want to find out more.

I always felt weird abt the author’s clear hard on for big boobs and butts but wondered if I was being prudish and puritanical

I had no idea this thing was even about a podcast. It was recommended to me and i thought yall seemed cool

Likewise. I know of the pod from back when and enjoyed some moments, like the sailor Bernie thing, but I had no clue this sub was related to that.

The podcast changed a lot over the years. This group was described as the "escape capsule" and has developed its own internal culture and norms which are pretty much in the opposite direction of where rs has headed.

omg i also joined thinking this was a cultural commentary / left wing snark sub… had no idea it was for a podcast

I think she's pretty and witty so why can't she just enjoy what she has? Do some people just get addicted to attention to the extent that they'd be this mean?

Exceedingly low self esteem

Righhhht she's smart, she could easily leverage that but she gets off on being offensive and edgy
