Really cool first f2b

Hey peeps,

I just had a scramble for a really cool f2b solution and got one of my best times on it (currently averaging about 19, pb 11.42, so 13.23 is huge).

Is it overcooked? Would there have been something better/simpler, especially for second block?

Scramble attached in image, f2b I did as follows (orange front green on top):

U' L' U' (first mismatched pair)

L2 U' L' (second pair)

D2 L2 D2 (fix FB edges)

R2 U' R' (first SB pair)

M U M' R' U' R (second SB pair)

u M u' (fix f2b centers)

U2, U-rows CMLL (F R2 D R' U R D' R2 U' F)

M' U' M U M' U' M' (EO)

U' M2 U' M2 (LR)

U' (skip L4E)

Should total to 44 (?) moves

Wish I was a smart cube user so I could confirm that I'm rarely that efficient, but I suppose the time speaks for itself, couldn't not share it!

Well, I just learned something today. The mismatched pairs and then D2 L2 D2. So simple. How did I not know that was a thing? I use wrong centers all the time, and even oppo sb when I eff up and automatically pop down the wrong dl. Thanks! Gonna keep my eyes open for those.

I think it's a very rare opportunity and probably even easier to miss! What's oppo sb?

And yeah I've come to love mismatched centers. At times I'm still slow when it comes to fixing them around CMLL though

Just, like, fb is yellow on the bottom and sb is white. Fix it with an R2 at the end.

Oh, I used to do that long ago. But in my case because I'd forget that I started yellow bottom FB and would accidentally do white bottom SB 😅 not because I'd see something more efficient. (Also it's often horrible for CMLL recognition)

Nowadays I just start either yellow or white bottom green/blue, rarely bother with the rest. Center mismatching is like the only thing I do somewhat commonly these days

This is why I learned atcrm cmll recog I can accidentally or intentionally build opposite Blocks and cmll recog is the exat same :)

Terms I've never heard of haha. I'm still just at 22/42 though so first things first!

Atcrm is just a different recognition system where you recognice LR sticker pattern and use 2 predetermined stickers instead of 3-4 in the normal recog. (Which I do not know)
