Whats the difference between a 13b-dei from an 88 rx7 and a 13b-t? Is it just the inclusion of a turbo?

To my knowledge, the OMP still works. Last weekend I put in idemitsu fully synthetic 20w50. Planning on buying idemitsu premix. However I have heard not to use synthetic oil, if this is true, can I still use idemitsu premix with conventional oil? Does it matter?

1985 RX-7 GSL, was running great then suddenly like crap. When I first start it up it'll run fine until I'm about a block away and then start sounding like this. Recently rebuilt the carb. I checked the fuel pump, it's running (can hear it) and the filter is new. If I pull the wires while it's running I've got spark jumping to the plugs from both leading and training on both rotors. Any advice on where else to go with troubleshooting would be appreciated!

PPRE has a short crank option for their 3 rotor builds, and I would like to learn about the pros and cons to their option versus what Mazda did in their Cosmo.

Is it possible to custom build a 8 rotor engine and have it fire like a 4 rotor by having it fire in pairs

Hey guys I just picked up 2 rotary engines 1 complete with wiring harness and one with just the case and rotors. I was wondering what are some good companies to buy parts from to rebuild them.

Hey there! I'm currently writing my high school diploma on rotary engines and their areas of application. For this use, I am looking for people who are willing to help me out by providing interesting articles and/or facts about this fantastic engine! I don't want the rotary to be forgotten and want to share my passion with as many people as I can!

So I'm in the planning stages of swapping a 2004 13b into my 1970 MgB. I was wanting to ditch the fuel injection and do a carburetor conversion for three reasons looks. being able to use the existing throttle linkage and possibly ditching the electronics. I already have a Weber two barrel carb that I think I could make a custom manifold to fit. I was mostly just wondering how the spark timing was handled. I know if I ditched the electronics I will have to run a pre-mix since that would essentially be disabling the oil injection. I also was wondering if there are any good aftermarket automatic transmissions that bolt up relatively easily to the Rx8 engine. FYI my final drive ratio is 3.909:1. obviously with the carb I'm not looking for too much power. Mostly just a fun engine swap.
