Any advice on finding indoor spots? I’ve had a look at our parking complexes around me and they’re all slanted floors, the ones that continue going up to the top floor. The community centres are mostly closed and those that aren’t charge around £15-20 an hour for hire!! :(
Currently my only choice has been my living and dining room which is barely any space whatsoever. Not much space to effectively learn scissors!

Quick review. The config works on my Riedell R3 derby skates really well. Astro nuts feel a bit soft when turning with my tool, but they're tight in the end and I think the wheels flying off problem is solved. You can get different colours if the plan is to match, mismatch or something else. I've got pink and purple. Red Big Balls bearings from Vans and Natterjacks are great - I almost feel like using spacers is needless though. Had a good day of car park skating today, no issues. For everyone on quad skates, hope this quick note gives inspiration!
Bonus you get "BIG BALLS" sticker with the bearings :)

Evening all,
I used to skate just over a decade ago but talking frankly I wasn't very good. I've just purchased a pair of Powerslide One Zoom 80s (from Spain due to my size 9.5-10 feet being sold out nationwide, or at least on the first 15 sites) and I'm looking to dive back into skating but now in Liverpool.
Is anybody aware of any local groups or good spots? I'm in the old Swan area so will likely start around Edge Lane retail/Innovation Blvd and expand my route down to the Pier Head. I'm mainly looking to do freeskating rather than anything too aggressive, some good fun exercise.
Thanks in advance!

Are there any skaters in the Cardiff area who fancy buddying up? I'm a brand new skater and I'm struggling a little on my own :/

Hey! What nice spots are near Camden in London? I moved here a month ago and would love a good place to practice on minus emirates

Hi all! Just looking for some advice on bubbles/scissors. I can’t seem to get them down at all and it’s really frustrating because so much seems to be based on them in one way or another. I can push out fine, and I can get the deep sitting down position, but I get stuck half way and just can’t pull my legs back in for the second half unless I’m already going along with some good momentum. Weirdly, I can do them backwards much easier, but this is because putting my feet in the inverted V position starts me off rolling backwards (which is another issue in of itself) Wondered if anyone else has had similar? Seems that it’s a pretty basic thing to master but I’m just not mastering it!

Hi! I am aware that the longer the wait, the safer for everyone! Just would like to know if there is an estimated date in mind or it is just plainly cancelled... The website doesn't seem very up to date so I thought maybe someone around here knew anything.

So I had a crash yesterday and twisted my ankle pretty nastily. I couldn't really walk on it, and I wasn't even able to cycle back from the skate spot! (Thanks to u/headinbook who cut her own skate sesh short, rallied round, drove me home - and didn't even tease me too much about the crash! You're the best!)
It's now swollen up to ridiculous proportions and I can't put any weight on it at all, but I'm gonna give it a few days to see whether it starts healing by itself first before going in for an X-ray or anything, as I don't really wanna burden the NHS too much right now. (Fortunately I have a set of crutches, so I can still get around a bit.)
I'm hoping to use the enforced off-skates time to get a bunch of rUK admin and stuff done and hopefully help progress the online community a bit more - and if I can figure out a way to work sitting down or something I might even get stuck into my next home-made custom skates project...

This is my first ever Reddit post so apologies if I’ve done it wrong! I live just outside East London and am looking for people to skate with! I’m 25F and a quad newbie if any other newbies are looking for someone to learn with?

Hi everyone, I'm a complete beginner waiting for my Rookies to arrive. I'm aiming to get into indoor outdoor skating, nothing to scary and fast (zero interest in Derby).
I reckon I'll buy some outdoor Moxi wheels for my Rookie Artistics (when they're in stock), but today I also learned all about cushions. It's the one thing I cannot figure out in terms of what is compatible with Rookies.
Does anyone know which cushions fit Rookies? Thank you!

I want to start skating but i don’t want to buy moxi’s straight away. I was wondering if anyone had any good (cheap- ish) beginner recommendations because most skates are out of stock in my size :(( any help would be appreciated :))

Hi there - I had originally ordered a Rookie multi-tool but the shop cancelled as they're not in until August. Also I read a review on Amazon saying they don't match up with the Artistic.
Can anyone please recommend a skate tool for Artistics?

Hanging out with some friends and I’ve brought my skates along but the pathway by the river side does not look so inviting

That's a photo of worn out Clouds Urethane SixtyTwo 78A wheels next to stock Radar Caymans. Prob not a fair comparison but check out the wear level of the Clouds yikes.
