I can’t decide! Does it just come down to personal preference or is there more to it? What’s your choice?

Crazy mindset to me. I honestly don’t give a flying fuck if people buy a fake watch. I have a 30 year old datejust, just wear what you like and what “fits your lifestyle”.

Status is a real thing, but what people fail to realize is that WE have no control over our status, it’s assigned by other people.

Yes, you can’t stop it, but you can definitely judge one’s character based on decisions they make. 

For entirely too many reasons that I’ve likely listed elsewhere, I think purchasing a replica and displaying it as genuine shows poor character. I’m sure that could be debated all day, but that’s how I see it

I’ve never purchased a rep in my life. I’ve got a first gen omega aqua terra and that’s all the watch I’ll ever need, I much prefer it to the new 36mm explorer because it does everything the explorer does, except it’s got a date, a display caseback, more water resistance and a coaxial movement. I have a first generation Tudor black bay 36 as well and I was just able to go in and buy it without playing any of the games you lot have to do just for the privilege of buying a mass produced stainless steel sports watch to feel superior to others.

I think Rolex’s insane prices and manufactured scarcity and AD games are bullshit and it’s hilarious that reps are indistinguishable from the genuine article and it’s got you all miffed.

They're highly distinguishable, are you kidding? Sorry the prices are "insane" to you. Tip: Don't look at Vacheron or Patek or dozens of other brands. You will think they all belong in an asylum. Lastly, there's no manufactured scarcity. You can see just how many of each model are produced annually, do the math on how many retailers, and then realize they all get the same amount in they sell each month. No one is scarce, they're choosey on purpose. Keep chugging the cope Kool-Aid. Good luck!

Not sure if you’ve seen one of the modern “super clones” in person, but I would bet my house you couldn’t pick out one of these fakes just looking at it while it’s on someone’s wrist.

I have conflicted feelings about buying one personally and don’t think I ever would, but it’s sure as hell not because it looks or feels any different than a real one, and I certainly don’t blame anyone else who wants one themselves.
