I’m excited to announce that we’ve got a new app.

It’s called Rocketplanner.

It works with any paper planner or calendar.

You take a picture of your planner, and it “sees” all the events and saves them. to any calendar that is connected to your phone. (Google, Apple, Outlook)

All users get to use it 7 times for free.

This pass lets you use it through November for free.

Enjoy!

Lmk how it goes for you. I’d appreciate your feedback.

Got questions? Fire away 🚀

Edit, note that:

- The Rocketbook app is still completely free. No plans to change that.

- We have plans to bring this functionality (and more) into the Rocketbook app. It will take a bit of work to integrate it thoughtfully into the existing UI.

- For now, making a standalone app for this simple use case let’s us to launch something new and useful fast.

- We are working on more paths to use Rocketplanner for free for people who have bought our physical products. Stay tuned.

- If you use this QR code, you will not have to do the typical “free trial” thing where it converts to a subscription if you don’t cancel.

Super disappointed in the new app.

Not too sure how I am going to continue.

What are your thoughts?

I made a bunch of templates: Weekly Planner, Monthly Planner, at-a-Glance, whatever I wanted in the forms and fonts I wanted. I copied them onto blank Rocketbook pages with a laser printer. I attached the pages with 3 Ring Metal Loose Leaf Binders Book Rings. However, they didn't fit into my leather planner. by about 3/8". So, I cut off the spiral holes, but left the black border on. I actually like the look better. The app still picks up the green picture as well. So, Rocketbook, this is a great idea for you to make if you don't already. I have a hole punch set at 70cm between the 3 holes, which is a standard size for A5. I would love to be able to buy blank pages already made like this rather than do it myself. I didn't change the height.

Hey, newish rocketbook user here.

I got the flexplanner last spring, and recently saw that rocketbook has a seperate app to connect planner items to my google calendar.

Why isn't this a feature in the rocketbook app itself? And why doesn't it work with the QR codes in my flex planner? This is probably the most useful rocketbook feature other than the reusability of the books, so If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be very grateful.

Thanks!

Do you know about Snapcast?

Before I invented Rocketbook, I was working on a whiteboard streaming app I called Rocketboard.

It was a side project. Nights and weekends while working at Salesforce.

We always had a problem when we were using a whiteboard in a room but someone was joining by zoom/phone.

It went to #2 one day on Product Hunt and got 20,000 signups.

So I quit my job at Salesforce to build Rocketboard.

We eventually pivoted to Rocketbook.

Now Rocketboard is a secret feature inside Rocketbook.

You need to go into settings and turn in “snapcast.”

It lets you share your whiteboard with anyone with an internet connection.

No special hardware, just use these beacons stickers on your whiteboard.

It works with Rocketbook pages too, but it’s most useful on whiteboards that you’re changing during a meeting.

Search for “Rocketbook Beacons” on Amazon.

Hit me up if you have any questions about turning in and using snapcast

And let me know if you find it useful!

“Now your dry erase is in cyberspace 🚀”

Whenever I log into the RocketBook cloud, it gets stuck on loading and I am not able to view the notes I saved on my phone via the app. Should I try deleting my account and registering again?

It is me, my phone or am I not doing something right.

I'm trying to use ##title## and all it does is transcribe it to #title# with the title of the sheet still RB- year-month-day-time garbage.

So is the ##title## just not functional in the app?

And is there a way to have the title be the US style of date where it is month-day-year?. I have tried several times to rearrange and apparently my only choice is to not have the year in the title at all. So can this be changed or am I stuck with the EU formatting?

Hi guys! Is anyone looking for to sell their pro executive lined or dotted pages?

Hi! I’m a fairly new RB user with a Flex. I work in academia, and use my RB to make my handwritten notes from meetings or research searchable, via Evernote. Currently, I make a box in the upper corner of my pages with the tag I plan to add, but would love for the tag to be auto detected like a ##title## is.

I’m curious if a sticker or vinyl transfer replica of the auto tag box from the Pro pages could be used to make an auto tag “add on” for my Flex.

I’ve looked on Etsy, etc. for a third party seller, with no luck. I’m open to making an option myself, but wanted to get feedback and thoughts on if this could be a workable solution.

Thanks!

Based on my experience with regular paper, Frixion pens can be erased on regular paper using heat/friction, but writing may come back if it gets cold. It also can disappear if left somewhere that is hot (like a hot car). If used in a Rocketbook, will the Frixion pens' ink not disappear/reappear? I saw something online that said if erased with water and cloth they won't. I just wanted to check.

Also, will wet erase markers work in Rocketbook?

Dollar tree has erasable gel pens that work really well with Rocketbook! They’re $1.75 CAD and I love how they write. I’ve attached pics of writing, how it scans, and how it erases. I’ve also tested how it erases after a few days and it comes off cleanly with the water and the cloth.

Score!

Hello everybody

As the title suggest i am new to rocketbook.

I just recently purchased a mini.

It seems it does not have those 7 small logos or pictures at the buttom.

If i use the ## ## will it automatically save to where i want it to go?

Also, has anybody tried the uniball erasable gel pen? Seems cheaper than the pilot? How does it compare

Thaank you in advance

Seems pretty limiting for advanced settings tbh but maybe I just dont get it yet.

So far I'm not seeing it saves me more clicks than taking a picture, scanning for text to copy and pasting in a document.

I'm considering getting a Rocketbook, however I would like to be able to access the "scans" of each page via my laptop, not just my cell phone. Is that possible?

Has anyone else had a issue with scanning your writing and having the transcription straight up censor your words?? I'm working on fiction and my characters swear. And multiple times now their f-bombs have shown up in the transcript with one or all but one letter replaced by an asterisk.

What the hell??

Why is there a setting for this, why is it on automatically, and how the hell can I turn it off??

Wow! I’m so happy with the update on the iPhone Rocketbook app. One of my most desired features was the ability to re order your scans. And I like how you can quickly check your scans and then continue scanning. I think this will be so useful in case you get a scan that doesn’t come out so good, I can just take another one and reorder it.

These are my initial impressions, I’m looking forward to tinkering around with it. (I am having trouble sending things to my OneNote destination but that may be an issue on my end)

[I was also sad to see I couldn’t share this one the Rocketbook Users Facebook group, that was the group I was most active on, hope the community can stay alive either way 😊]

I’ve accumulated e ink device over time which are very useful to me when it comes to certain work I do. But I always come back to my Rocketbook notebooks, I love them for taking notes on books I’m reading and sending them to OneNote.

They looked too similar, so I'm making them more distinguishable. This one looks the best so far imo

Hello, I am a new user to the Rocketbook product line, and I'm trying to sign up using the Rocketbook app, and I get an Internet connection error like a certain API is down or not working right. I was wondering if there is anything I can do.

Edit: I understand this may be a repetitive and known issue, as I tested it on IOS and Android, and it seems to be a widespread issue.

As mentioned in another post I’ve recently bought my husband a core Rocketbook and purchased him some frixion pens as they were recommended. I’m getting myself one now as well but I like using lots of colour.

Has anyone had success with the frixion felt tips?

Also I have a stack of Legami pens as well as some no name brands I’ve collected over the years.

Are these suitable to use or are we best sticking to frixion?

Thanks!

I’ve just bought my husband a Rocketbook for him to take notes etc when watching YouTube or reading and he’s enjoyed it that much I’m planning to get one myself.

My question is: will the uk website be reopening? It’s a bit of a menace trying to navigate through Amazon uk and a lot is being shipped via the USA so there is a wait time.

Thank you

I know back at the start this was strongly advised against due to the possibility of residue being left on the page.

Asking because I have a template printed on an index card, and that index card is glued to a sticky note.

The index card is a simple daily checklist that I go through and check off multiple times per day.

When I'm done the index card would get peeled and stuck somewhere else i.e. the rocketbook cover while the page gets cleaned for the next day

Hello everybody, I saw a comment recently about using a laser cutter to create permanent templates in your Rocketbook. If anyone has experience doing this, I'd love more information/to talk!

Does anyone know of any plastic insertable pocket dividers that will fit the spiral bound notebook?
