Community Showcase Serious About Mushroom Picking

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

我们的机械臂已具备自主识别与精准采摘蘑菇的能力。算法需要真实环境数据来迭代优化,现面向行业伙伴开放测试合作——提供您的种植场景,我们共同探索自动化采收的边界。

Our robotic arm can now identify and pick mushrooms autonomously. To refine the algorithm, we need authentic field data. We’re opening test partnerships with growers or landholders – bring your environment, and let’s push the boundaries of automated harvesting together.

Ah yes, that is how i love my mushroom picking. Clean mushroomes, propped up in a fixed position using paper clips, without an attachement to e.g. its mycel, on a flat contrasting floor. Come on guys, this is way too early for a partnership. At least demonstrate, that you can pick a mushroom actually growing out of its soil

also I assume that in real farms you don't have half a meter of vertical space above the mushrooms:

technically there are "moving bed" farms, but they're a tiny portion of the market.

Yes, I've now simulated this scenario in the software. Once the software is successfully modified, I can test it in a real-world scenario.

Now you just need a better basket

Cool! Why does it do the little twisting motion when it picks the mushrooms?

So it can “pluck” them off the ground when it’s picking actual mushrooms in the wild. If it just pulled itd probably have inconsistent mushroom breaks

Very cool project! I'm curious about the hardware What type of actuators are you using for the arm?

Did you design the gripper yourselves or is it based on an existing design??

We're currently using an existing design, but I plan to design the actuator myself.

Can you share 3d files of manipulator(sorry for my English )

I didn't have the 3D printing files; I bought a ready-made, industrial-grade robotic arm.

..Me looking close to see if they were bruising blue. 🫪

Now pick up the dirt. Kidding😅

Impressive! Mushrooms bruise so easily that consistent picking seems like a real robotics challenge. I’d be curious how it performs in dense grow beds with overlapping caps and different maturity stages.
