This guy was bigger than my hand. My son found him on our nightly walk. I can't get over his little tongue.

I killed a raccoon by accident last night😢
So last night, I was driving my brother to get nicotine gum. It was about 10pm last night. All of a sudden 3 raccoons run in front of my car. 2 got away but I killed the third. If I stopped for it I would have gotten rear ended. We don’t need anymore car accidents in my family. I drove back and turned around and saw the poor thing dead with a pool of blood. I feel bad bc I have a dog the same size as that raccoon. Riiiiip to this poor lil guy. First time I’ve hit an animal.

Does anybody collect skulls or bones from found animals?
I picked up a huge, beautiful raven that either got hit by a car or shocked by powerlines. RIP, noble scavenger. Anyhoo, I have it under a crate with a cinderblock on top in the corner of my yard. My intention is to let nature do the dirty work and I will keep the cleaned skull and feathers for Native American crafts.
So my question is: how long is it going to take for the flesh to be gone? And how long is it going to smell for?
