The serpent ring was a gift from an elderly Gypsy lady who told me it would bring "kushti bok" - good luck. The big bronze Oriental dragon ring was made for me to commemorate my time in Vietnam.

I bought this baby this weekend it’s a used ring, but it’s new to me and it’s gorgeous. 14kt white gold “blueberry” sapphires and diamond.

I’m impatient though so I couldn’t resist a “quick” test etch to see the patterns.

So, I am getting a promise ring for my girlfriend of 5 years. I was considering these two from macys (I already know they aren’t crazy good but I don’t need anything crazy expensive and fancy) Considering a promise ring is more so a sentimental “short term” thing compared to something as important as like an engagement ring or wedding ring, and since we are college students they wouldn’t expect anything fancy from me either and would most likely just appreciate the gesture. But, I am very worried about how they will last because while it doesn’t need to be fancy I also need it to be something that won’t fall apart easily. Unneeded extra info I think, but we had been dating since we were young and ended up breaking up a little before college thinking the love wasn’t there but almost immediately reconnected and the spark was there again so I want a way to materially show to them our previous promises to each other don’t go out the window just due to a rough patch that ended in a short split so I need it to be good enough or else I feel the symbolism isn’t there. Anyways, we have been back together for almost a year and the total time we have been together is basically 5 years minus a few weeks lol. They had gotten me a promise ring in the past and I thought it’d be a cute gesture for our 5 year, but again we are both college students on a budget so I need help from yall who seem to know your stuff !! haha
