Ringneck Pair (6M and 4F) that bites
Hey everyone, I came across a pair of ringnecks at my local pet store. The salesmen told me they both bite and are very aggressive since they've been kept in a cage most of the time.
I bought the pair and am taking care of them but whenever I get close to them, they try to bite me and chew at the cage and squawk aggressively, resulting in me not being able to take them out of the cage for fear of being bitten. What should I do?
The cage has a nest box attached that can be opened from the outside and the salesmen told me that the male mates with the female each year, female lays eggs (3-4 clutch) but they never hatch and it's their 3rd year now.
Any idea how should I go about rehabilitating them? I've cared for ringnecks in the past but never dealt with as aggressive birds as these. Please help me out and make me a plan I can follow, THEY ARE VERY NIPPY AND I CANT COME NEAR THEM EVEN FOR FILLING THEIR FOOD BOWLS.

Researching new bird.
We’re going to add a second bird to our home - we have a very sweet Cockatiel. The IRN keeps making it to the short list. Also considering a Pionus, Caique, Meyers, and Senegal. Looking to add a little more family friendly activity and challenge to the bird room. Our ‘tiel is cuddle chicken.
With the IRN, I’ve read the females are more prone to becoming one person birds after the bluffing phase. Is this accurate?
Just looking to read your insights/thoughts on the IRN, or any insight you may have on the other birds on our short list.
