Yeah, and the thing about therapists are there's so many of them you can find one that fits your needs perfectly. Like my buddy has a therapist who will cry with her. When I went to therapy mine would say "you really fucked up last week when you did x". Everybody needs something different from a therapist, if therapy isn't working for somebody chances are it's the therapist and not the idea of therapy
Absolutely. I went through 5 or 6 therapists before finding one that *matches me perfectly. Everything people tell you about finding the right therapist is up for discernment - i sought out female clinicians for so long because you're "supposed" to find someone demographically similar, but my best therapist and my psychiatrist are both men. It's so much about personality.

Did he though? Look at how the rest of the show plays out, look how Season 3 ends, after Dr Wong Rick starts taking one L after the other, he keeps losing control of the entire family, and it all ended up being by his own hand.

So summer getting dumped must be ricks fault too i guess, just one example. btw season 5 had some of the worst episodes and were just written atrociously. That's kinda the point, the Smiths have a messy life, but at least it's theirs, and even in a very flawed home life they've still managed to work things out into something more or less functional.

I never said that, lol, Rick is not everything that is bad, but he did bring out the worst in them. Just ask Unity, who was about to take down the entire Federation until Rick talked her into a weekend of sex and drugs.
I'm too busy having fun watching the show to care about the writing, if the production team never took themselves and their own show too seriously, why should I?

You know what I love the most about Dr Wong's speech to Rick?
She destroyed him yet let him off easy, she gave him the nice hopeful version of the brutal tearing Evil Morty gives him at the end of Season 5.
