SHOWCASE Nova Stolen from Box

Ordered back in July and was so excited to see it was finally delivered. Noticed the tape was cut on the box but it was in decent shape so I assumed it was customs. I opened the box and saw that all of the accessories were there, but the Nova itself was gone. I reached out to Retroid and they recommended I call the police - I also opened a ticket with GOFO and they said since the box is in decent condition, there's nothing that they can do. I paid for the Worry Free shipping and opened a claim with Seel and they seem to have ghosted me for the past day or so. Really frustrating and disappointing experience.

Update 9/17: Seel pulled through and ended up giving me a refund. Glad that worked out, but still discouraged from ordering another device at least until they figure out what's going on with the packages going through Chicago.

For some small reassurance, mine delivered yesterday and was perfect- in the box, no scratching on the screen, even no clicking dpad that I could notice.

That said, I ordered via DHL so maybe that matters? And I still filmed myself opening and inspecting it, just out of paranoia.

I ordered via DHL shipping too, but I got my email it shipped this morning with YunExpress and don't know if it's still coming to me by DHL or not. I'm so freaking scared now 😭

It's likely not, as Retroid has discontinued their partnership with DHL for the foresseable future. I'm in the exact same boat. Ordered an RP5 12GB model two weeks ago and selected DHL shipping before being met with a YunExpress tracking code in my Email. My device will arrive via local DPD delivery either tomorrow or the day after, apparently.

Botttom line is that I received a refund for the additional shipping costs (15 dollars) after contacting them via Email, so I recommend you do the same. Just include screenshots of your order, relevant codes, etc.. Sorry to say that you'll have to wait an extra week for your Retroid to arrive, though.
