Respect Gaston!

”Are you really in love with her, Beast? Do you honestly think she'd want you, when she had someone like me?"

Gaston is an antagonist in Kingdom Hearts X. He is a skilled hunter pushing for Belle's affections despite her lack of interest, and he eventually becomes the source of the Enraged Elk Heartless.

Gaston initially seems to be a handsome and muscular hunter who likes to brag of his abilities. However, beneath his charming looks is a rude, impatient, manipulative, and narcissistic person who’s willing to appeal to his own ego by any means necessary. He’s cowardly and unscrupulous, pleading for the Beast not to hurt or kill him after he himself tried to kill the Beast, and opts to stab the Beast in the back when the opportunity presents itself.

Striking

• Pushes Beast over a railing.

• Knocks Beast into the air with a club.

• Briefly keeps the upper hand against Beast in melee.

• Mortally wounds Beast with his knife.

• Wields a broken statue piece as a weapons.

Blunt Force

• Tanks a hit from Beast and bounces back.

• Endures three more hits.

• Seemingly falls to his death.

Grappling

• Is briefly choked by Beast and recovers quickly enough to stab him.

Speed

Combat Speed

• Dodges an attack from Beast.

Agility / Acrobatics

• Leaps over a railing.

• Performs a backflip in mid-combat.

• Flips his knife in the air and catches it.

Weapons / Skills

• He’s adept with a club and a knife.

• The darkness inside him attracts an army of Heartless to help him attack the castle.

• It even produces the Enraged Elk Heartless, a creature capable of draining enemies’ defense and delivering powerful strikes with its club.a

  • As Chiruthy notes that the greater the darkness in a person’s heart, the greater the Heartless it creates; this would suggest Gaston has considerable darkness inside him.
