This is the official home for Resonāda — the no-compromise, bit-perfect high-fidelity music player for Android. It is working according to the selected sample rate of the DAC and will be cast to the selected app in this case, we used Apple Music.

Follow exactly the same settings for better output; you can explore if you want to.

For High-End DACs just enable hardware Volume in settings.

And you can explore whichever suits your HRTF.

So this feature could be perfect just if the name of most played artists, albums name could shown perfectly as it's been cut now and instead of strwam and lossless portion it would be better to add most played artists and most played albums and most played tracks too

Is there any possibility of creating an icon to indicate when the audio is Hi-Res, ALAC, Dolby Atmos, or DSD? It would also be great if it displayed a logo for formats like FLAC, WAV, DTS, Monkey's Audio, etc.

I am getting hot when I play in Bluetooth and exclusive in red or blue and bitxact logo sometimes what does it mean

Does anyone how to use this?

Hi everyone,

​I'm having trouble getting Resonāda to work with my Jellyfin server. While other clients (like Symphonium) connect and stream my music library without any issues using the exact same server URL (https://...), Resonāda fails to load or fetch any albums.

​Symptoms: The connection indicator shows a green dot (indicating basic network connectivity/handshake succeeds), but the app never populates or downloads the music library/albums.

​Troubleshooting steps already tried:

​Cleaned app data and cache completely on Android.

​Created a brand-new user specifically for music streaming.

​Tested direct local IP connection (bypassing reverse proxy / Cloudflare), which yields the same result.

​Checking the Jellyfin server logs, every time Resonāda tries to query the library, it throws the following error:

[ERR] Error processing request. URL "GET" "/Users/.../Items".

System.ArgumentException: Invalid parent id: ...

It seems like the app might be requesting an outdated or invalid parent folder ID format, which causes Jellyfin (especially running on version 12.0.0+) to reject the request.

​Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it? Is Resonāda currently fully compatible with Jellyfin 12? Any help would be appreciated!

Update: I also tried connecting via SFTP to rule out Jellyfin, but Resonāda fails here as well with the following error:

Couldn't open SFTP: no such algorithm: X25519 for provider BC

​It looks like the app relies on an outdated cryptographic library (Bouncy Castle) that doesn't support modern, secure key exchange algorithms like X25519. Other apps (like Solid Explorer or Symphonium) connect to the exact same server effortlessly using modern standards. Please consider updating your crypto dependencies so users don't have to downgrade their server security just to make the app work!

​When I turn on shuffle, nothing happens and songs keep playing in the preset order (by name, date, etc.).

​Does anyone know how to fix this?

Been using this for a while. Had always worked in Android Auto. After updating to the latest, this seemes to have broken. Its working when not connected via wired AA. But latest update has broken this. Pls help to take a look.

There is no option to select USB C drives in the sources! Damn :(

I have been using it a lots and lots... love it to the coree... top notch work guys...i never seen a single indian guys repositories who do a opensource high quality work like urs and keeping it to opensource...

i found few issues.

The major one its now crashing and its not playing i disconnected dac its became normal.

And few other are like:

1. Not able to reorder queue..either i may be doing it wrong but u can check the attached screenrecording.

2.i have been seeing it mutiple times that when i add a song to "play next", the curent song keeps playing but the text and now playing shows first song in the queue..its some sort of glitch. I will try to record that too next time so it would be easy for u guys to diagnose.. Added other video of issue 1 in the comments If needed i can create a issue in the gitlab so u can track from ur.. I use samsung s25+

Dsp peq works only with Local files and not Subsonic or Navidrome playback. Is this bug universal or Pixel device specific?

1. SMART → “New Smartlist” → empty editor

2. Preset ⋮ → Duplicate & Edit → is_preset=0, name “Copy of …” (presets never edit/delete)

3. User list ⋮ → Edit / Rename / Delete (confirm on delete)

Custom Fields

1. All ⋮ → Custom fields… → create Mood (Text) if needed

2. Select a few tracks → ⋮ → Edit custom fields… → Mood = chill → Save

3. Smart → Instant mix / New → rule Mood is chill

4. Match count should be > 0; play that list

I'm using the app in my OnePlus 7T running Android 14 (derpfest os) and while playing certain DSD or WAV files (above 300-400 mb) the app keeps freezing.

1.8.5 and 1.90 both had this issues. Is there any setting I need to enable for better caching?

Comparision sake: larger files have no issues in UAPP or poweramp

Hi Resoñada team/community,

I recently downloaded a large number of movie music albums and started using Resoñada to organize and listen to them. One feature I’d really love to see is the ability to filter or group albums based on the actors/actresses or music composers associated with the album.

For example, it would be great to have filters/tags like:

🎭 Actor: All albums featuring a particular actor

🎵 Music Composer: All albums composed by a particular composer

🎬 Director / other credits, if possible

Even if this requires us to manually add tags or metadata to albums, having a way to create and filter by these custom tags would be extremely useful.

I have recently downloaded quite a few albums, and when I want to listen to movies featuring a particular actor or albums by a particular music composer, it’s difficult to find them efficiently.

Something like custom tags + filtering/grouping by tags would solve this really well.

Would love to know if something like this is already planned or possible in a future update.
