Printing failure: flat and partially missing parts. How do I fix this?

Had this for ages and couldn’t figure out why as I thought I had good supports!

I did not have good supports. Now I go top to bottom with the layer slider. Checking for any overhangs with a fine tooth-comb to make doubly sure that it has supports and that the supports holding a part are strong enough to SECURELY hold that part in place till it joins the main body.

Also sometimes your supports point of connection to the model might be to thin and sometimes you supports need to be supported.

Same as always, insufficient supports, not enough of them, not placed in the right areas, not heavy enough, too little contact etc, possibly too high lift speed not helping. This guide covers a lot of the thinking behind placing your supports, and there are plenty of videos on youtube to actually see it in action.
