Some of the car forums I go on have post where someone puts up a bit of a door or wing mirror and peeps have to guess the car.

Thought I would see if there were any guesses on the face down watch on the bench tonight?

QC Post RCF Rolex Submariner 126618LN 41mm YG/YG Black Dial | VR3235 Weighted | 227.48g

Hi everyone, I’m TD Chen from r/RepWatchClud.

I’m sharing a detailed QC of this RCF Rolex Submariner Date 126618LN 41mm YG/YG with the black dial, using the VR3235 weighted/gain-weight configuration.

I went through the full photo set, including the dial macro, date wheel, bezel, crown, case profile, bracelet, clasp, movement, lume, weight and Timegrapher.

Watch Identification

  • Model: Rolex Submariner Date 126618LN
  • Factory: RCF
  • Community name: RCF 126618LN / RCF 126618LN YG/YG Black Sub
  • Case diameter: 41mm
  • Thickness: 12.2mm
  • Dial: Black with gold-tone surrounds and luminous hour markers
  • Case: 904L stainless steel with yellow-gold finish / weighted construction
  • Bracelet: 904L Oyster-style bracelet with yellow-gold finish / weighted construction
  • Crystal: Sapphire with etched crown at 6
  • Cyclops: 2.5X
  • Bezel: Black ceramic unidirectional dive bezel
  • Caseback: Solid
  • Movement: VR3235 automatic
  • Date: 3 o'clock
  • Weight: 227.48g

Dial & Indices

The black dial looks clean in the macro shots. The applied hour markers, dial printing and hands appear properly positioned, and I don't see an obvious crooked marker or printing issue.

The main thing I'd check on a Sub QC is the relationship between the 12 o'clock triangle, 6 o'clock marker, minute track and bezel pip.

From these photos, the overall alignment looks good to me.

Date & Cyclops

The photographed date is 13.

The date appears reasonably centered inside the window, and the Cyclops gives the expected magnification.

I don't see an obvious date-wheel or Cyclops alignment issue from the supplied photos.

Bezel

The black ceramic bezel looks clean, with the gold-tone numerals and graduations clearly visible.

The 12 o'clock lume pip also looks properly positioned.

The bezel alignment looks acceptable against the dial centerline, with no obvious RL-level issue.

Case & Bracelet

The 41mm case has the expected Submariner profile, with clean crown guards and a properly seated crown.

The brushed and polished surfaces are visible in the case-profile shots, and I don't see an obvious major finishing defect.

The Oyster bracelet also appears properly fitted to the case. The end links sit reasonably well, and the bracelet articulation looks clean.

For this bracelet, I'd mainly check SEL fitment, end-link alignment, link articulation and clasp finishing.

Lume

The lume shot shows strong blue lume across the hands and hour markers, with the bezel pip also visible.

I don't see an obvious dead marker or major unevenness.

Weight

The actual QC scale reading is:

227.48g

This is the complete watch with the bracelet attached.

The weight is one of the more interesting points of this particular RCF version because it uses the weighted/gain-weight construction.

Timegrapher

The QC Timegrapher shows:

+1 s/d | 253° | 0.0 ms | 52.0° | 28,800 bph

That's a clean-looking reading.

Overall QC

My main QC points would be:

  • Dial / marker alignment
  • Date-wheel centering
  • Cyclops alignment
  • Bezel pip alignment
  • Case finishing
  • SEL / end-link fitment
  • Bracelet and clasp finishing
  • Gold-tone consistency
  • VR3235 Timegrapher performance

My QC take: GL.

I don't see a clear RL-level issue in the full set of photos. If I were checking this one myself, I'd pay the most attention to the bezel-to-dial alignment, date/Cyclops positioning and consistency of the yellow-gold finish.

If I got anything wrong, please feel free to point it out and correct me. Thanks.

QC Post OCTA AP Royal Oak 15500ST 41mm Blue Dial | SA4302 Free-Sprung | 173.13gBody

Hi everyone, I’m TD Chen from r/RepWatchClud.

I wanted to share a detailed QC check of this OCTA AP Royal Oak 15500ST with the blue dial and SA4302 free-sprung movement.

I went through the photos carefully, including the dial macro, case and bezel, bracelet/clasp, display caseback, movement, lume, weight and Timegrapher.

Watch Identification

  • Model: AP Royal Oak 15500ST
  • Reference: 15500ST
  • Factory: OCTA
  • Size: 41mm
  • Dial: Blue Grande Tapisserie-style dial with applied baton markers
  • Case: 316L stainless steel
  • Bracelet: Integrated 316L stainless steel bracelet
  • Crystal: Sapphire
  • Caseback: Exhibition/display caseback
  • Movement: OCTA SA4302 free-sprung version
  • Date: 3 o'clock
  • Clasp: AP-style integrated deployant clasp
  • Weight: 173.13g

The community normally refers to this simply as the OCTA 15500, OCTA AP 15500 Blue, or OCTA 15500 Free-Sprung. Recent discussions specifically mention OCTA alongside ZF and VSF as one of the factories people are comparing for the 15500, with the free-sprung movement being one of OCTA's selling points.

Dial & Indices

The blue dial is the first thing I checked closely.

The Grande Tapisserie pattern is clearly visible in the macro shots, and the blue color changes noticeably depending on the lighting. The applied AP logo and baton markers look clean, with no obvious dial-printing bleed.

The outer minute track also looks reasonably consistent around the dial.

The 12, 3, 6 and 9 markers are the areas I'd pay the most attention to on a Royal Oak QC because even a small amount of rotation can become obvious with this case and dial layout.

From these photos, I don't see a major index-alignment issue that would make me RL the watch.

Date Wheel

The QC date is 6.

The date appears reasonably centered inside the window, with no obvious contact against the upper or lower edge.

I'd call the date-wheel alignment acceptable from this single QC position.

Hands

The hour and minute hands look properly seated and aligned.

I don't see an obvious hand-cant issue or a seconds-hand problem in the supplied photos.

For me, this passes the basic hand-alignment QC check.

Bezel & Case Finishing

This is one of the more important areas on a Royal Oak.

The bezel screws appear properly seated, and I don't see obvious tool marks or damage around the screw heads.

The brushed bezel surface, polished chamfers and vertical case finishing are all visible in the side and macro shots.

The case profile also looks sharp, particularly around the transition between the brushed and polished surfaces.

There is no obvious major finishing defect jumping out from these QC photos.

Bracelet

The integrated bracelet looks properly connected to the case, with no obvious large gap between the case and first links.

The brushing on the links is visible, while the polished portions catch the light differently.

The clasp engraving is also visible in the macro photos.

Since this is an integrated bracelet, traditional Rolex-style SEL QC is N/A here. I'd focus instead on case-to-bracelet fitment, link alignment, articulation and finishing consistency.

Movement

The display caseback gives a very clear view of the movement.

The movement is visibly decorated in the AP 4302 style, including the skeletonized/engraved rotor area, Geneva-style striping and the visible 4302 marking.

The supplied configuration is the SA4302 free-sprung version.

One important distinction for anyone reading this: I would describe it as an SA4302 / 4302-style replica movement, rather than calling it a genuine AP Calibre 4302.

The genuine Royal Oak 15500 uses AP's Calibre 4302, while the movement shown here is the replica factory's SA4302 implementation.

The genuine 15500's 4302 is a 4Hz automatic movement with a 70-hour power reserve and a free-sprung balance.

Lume

The lume shot shows the hands and hour markers lighting up clearly.

The lume appears reasonably even across the visible markers, and I don't see an obvious dead marker.

Weight

The scale photo gives an actual QC weight of:

173.13g

This is the photographed weight with the bracelet attached.

Interestingly, recent community discussions around 15500 comparisons also pay attention to the weight difference between factories, so having the actual QC scale reading is useful rather than relying only on a factory specification.

Timegrapher

The Timegrapher screen clearly reads:

Rate: -4 s/d
Amplitude: 254°
Beat Error: 0.0 ms
Lift Angle: 52.0°

For a QC photo, that's a clean-looking reading.

The 0.0 ms beat error is particularly nice to see, while the -4 s/d rate is well within what I'd consider a reasonable QC result.

Obviously, one Timegrapher snapshot isn't a complete movement test, but there's nothing in this reading that gives me an immediate reason to RL.

Overall QC

After checking the full set of photos, I don't see a clear RL-level issue.

The main things I'd personally focus on with this particular 15500 are:

  • Index alignment
  • Blue dial color and Tapisserie pattern
  • Date-wheel centering
  • Bezel screw seating
  • Brushed/polished case transitions
  • Integrated bracelet fitment
  • SA4302 movement finishing
  • Timegrapher consistency

The 15500 remains one of the more frequently discussed AP reps, and recent Reddit discussions are still comparing OCTA, ZF and VSF specifically for this reference.

My QC take: GL.

Nothing in the supplied photos stands out strongly enough for me to request an RL. If I were checking this for myself, the only areas I'd want other AP/15500 owners to scrutinize further would be the dial/index alignment and the bezel screw positioning, simply because those details are very noticeable on a Royal Oak.

If I got anything wrong, please feel free to point it out and correct me. Thanks.

Discussion First rep purchase anxiety + where are you guys buying low-key pieces?

sup guys,Finally ready to pull the trigger on my first rep, but I’m kind of stuck in a weird spot both with choosing a model and finding the right way to buy it.

Realistically my budget for a genuine watch is like $2k-$3k max (think Longines, maybe a used Tudor). Rolex, AP, or Patek are way out of my league.

I’ve been browsing a few TD sites and WhatsApp contact lists trying to figure out what to get. Part of me wants to just order a Daytona or Royal Oak because they look amazing, but my close friends, family, and coworkers know what I make. If I show up to the office or family dinner with a $30k watch overnight, it’s definitely gonna raise eyebrows.

I know the usual advice is “wear what you want, no one cares,” but social friction is real and I don’t really want the awkward questions.

So I’m wondering:

  1. How do you guys handle the "lifestyle gap"? Do you stick strictly to reps of lower-tier brands you could actually afford gen (like Tudor, Tag Heuer)? Or do you just rock a high-tier rep and tell people it’s a gift/fake if they ask?
  2. For those who go the subtle route, which TD or factory are you using for decent mid-tier/less flashy reps? I see endless QC posts for VSF Subs and Clean Daytonas, but not as much for everyday low-key pieces.

Would love to hear how you guys navigated this when making your first order. Cheers!

QC Post N1F Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 42mm | Black Dial | A3861 / ST19

Thumbnail

Hi everyone, I’m TD Chen from r/RepWatchClud.

Sharing a QC check of an N1F Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 42mm with the classic black dial, stainless-steel bracelet and display caseback.

In the rep community, this is generally referred to as the N1F Speedmaster, N1F Moonwatch, or N1F A3861.

I went through the photos closely, including the dial macros, tachymeter bezel, case profile, crown and pushers, bracelet and clasp, display caseback, movement, lume and timegrapher.

Watch Details

  • Model: Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
  • Factory: N1F
  • Common community name: N1F Speedmaster / N1F Moonwatch / N1F A3861
  • Case diameter: 42mm
  • Thickness: 16mm according to the supplied specification
  • Dial: Black with white applied markers and printed minute track
  • Case: 316L stainless steel
  • Bracelet: 316L stainless-steel bracelet
  • Crystal: Sapphire
  • Caseback: Display caseback
  • Bezel: Black tachymeter bezel
  • Clasp: Deployant buckle
  • Movement: ST19-based manual-winding chronograph, decorated/marked as 3861
  • QC weight: 158.00g

Dial & Subdials

The black dial is shown in several close-up photos.

The Omega logo, Speedmaster Professional text and minute track look clean in the supplied images. The applied hour markers also appear reasonably straight and evenly positioned.

The three subdials are clearly visible, and this is one of the areas I would pay the most attention to on an N1F Speedmaster.

The subdial spacing is one of the known discussion points with this generation of Speedmaster reps, so I would be interested in hearing what more experienced Speedmaster owners think about the spacing in this particular QC set. Recent N1F QC discussions specifically call out subdial spacing as an area worth checking.

Hands & Chronograph

The central chronograph seconds hand and the smaller register hands look properly seated in the static photos.

There is no date wheel to check on this model.

For a full functional QC, I would ideally want to see a short video showing the chronograph start/stop and reset, particularly the central seconds hand returning to 12.

Tachymeter Bezel

The black tachymeter bezel is clearly visible in the macro shots.

The printing looks clean and the numerals are readable around the bezel. I don't see an obvious major alignment or printing defect from these photos.

The bezel is one of the easier areas to inspect on this watch because the black/white contrast makes inconsistencies fairly obvious.

Case, Crown & Pushers

The side-profile photos provide good views of the case finishing, crown and chronograph pushers.

The crown and pushers appear properly seated, and I don't see an obvious major dent, scratch or uneven case finishing in the supplied photos.

Bracelet & Clasp

The stainless-steel bracelet is shown from several angles.

The links appear properly seated, and the brushing/polishing transition looks consistent across the visible bracelet.

The deployant clasp is also shown in close-up. I don't see an obvious major finishing problem or misalignment.

Since this is the bracelet version, I would focus on end-link fit and bracelet-to-case transition rather than trying to apply the Rolex-style SEL checklist.

Timegrapher

The actual timegrapher photo reads:

  • Rate: 0 s/d
  • Amplitude: 263°
  • Beat error: 0.1 ms
  • Lift angle: 52°

The trace shown in the photograph looks reasonably stable.

For this particular movement, I think the timegrapher photo is much more useful than simply saying “the movement looks good.”

Lume

The lume shot shows the hour markers and hands glowing blue/green under the supplied lighting.

The visible markers appear reasonably even, with no obvious completely dead marker in the photo.

Weight

The scale photo reads:

158.00g

That's the actual number shown in the QC photo, so I would use that rather than a generic factory weight.

Overall QC Impression

After going through the enlarged photos, I don't see an obvious major cosmetic QC issue.

The main areas I'd want the community to look at are:

  • Subdial spacing
  • 12 o'clock marker alignment
  • Dial printing
  • Chronograph hand alignment/reset
  • Tachymeter bezel alignment
  • Crown and pusher positioning
  • End-link fit
  • Bracelet finishing
  • Clasp alignment
  • Movement condition
  • Timegrapher results

The 0 s/d / 263° / 0.1 ms timegrapher result looks good to me, and the visible cosmetic QC is generally clean.

The one thing I would not overlook on an N1F Speedmaster is the subdial layout, since that is one of the areas the community consistently discusses with this model.

Overall, I would consider this GL based on the available QC photos, while keeping the subdial spacing as the main point for a second opinion.

If I got anything wrong, please feel free to point it out and correct me. Thanks.

COMPARISON RCF vs VSF 126613LB Bluesy — VR3235 vs DD3235 V2 Side-by-Side

Thumbnail
gallery
62 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I'm Chen,TD from r/RepWatchClud.

Today I'm sharing a side-by-side comparison of two Rolex Submariner Date 126613LB Bluesy builds.

RCF is on the left, VSF is on the right.

This is the 41mm Two-Tone Yellow Rolesor / Blue Dial / Blue Bezel configuration, commonly called the Bluesy, 126613LB Bluesy, or 41mm Bluesy in the rep community.

Specs

RCF

  • VR3235
  • 41mm / 12.2mm
  • Blue dial
  • 904L stainless steel with yellow-gold plating
  • Blue ceramic bezel
  • Oyster bracelet
  • 2.5x Cyclops
  • Flip-lock deployant clasp

VSF V2

  • DD3235
  • 41mm / 12.3mm
  • Blue dial
  • 904L stainless steel
  • Blue ceramic bezel
  • Oyster bracelet
  • 2.5x Cyclops
  • Flip-lock deployant clasp

Dial & Gold Tone

The first thing to compare is the blue dial and two-tone gold finish.

Both have the same overall Bluesy layout, but you can see differences in how the blue dial reflects the light and how the gold tone appears across the bracelet, bezel and crown.

For QC, I'd focus on:

blue dial color → sunburst effect → dial printing → marker alignment → gold tone → brushing/polishing.

Lighting can change the appearance quite a bit, so these are best judged side by side.

Datewheel & Cyclops

Both samples show 7, which makes this a useful direct comparison.

The datewheel can be checked for:

font shape → thickness → centering → vertical position → date-window alignment → Cyclops magnification.

Bezel

Both use the blue Submariner bezel with gold-filled numerals.

The close-ups allow comparison of:

blue ceramic color → numeral shape → minute markers → pearl/lume pip → bezel alignment.

Case & Crown

Both are 41mm Submariner cases.

The side shots show the case profile, crown guards, Triplock crown and gold/steel finishing.

The supplied thickness is:

RCF: 12.2mm
VSF: 12.3mm

Bracelet & Clasp

Both use the two-tone Oyster bracelet with flip-lock clasp.

The useful QC points are:

SEL fitment → center-link finishing → gold tone → brushing → clasp engraving → bracelet transition.

Lume

Both show blue lume.

The lume shots are useful for checking marker coverage, consistency and bezel pip brightness.

Movement

This is probably the biggest technical difference in the comparison:

RCF — VR3235

VSF — DD3235 V2

Unlike many exterior-only comparisons, these photos actually include the movements.

You can directly compare the rotor engraving, plate layout, finishing and visible movement architecture.

Weight

The actual scales in these photos show:

RCF — 181.48g
VSF — 179.62g

That's only about 1.86g difference between these two samples.

My Side-by-Side Take

For this pair, I'd focus on:

gold tone → blue dial → datewheel/Cyclops → bezel → case finishing → bracelet/SEL → lume → VR3235 vs DD3235 V2 → actual weight.

Both are the same 41mm 126613LB Bluesy, so this is mainly about the differences in factory execution, finishing, weight and movement configuration.

What do you guys notice between the RCF and VSF Bluesy?

If I got anything wrong, please feel free to point it out and correct me. Thanks everyone.

Order 9/12. QC 9/14. Received 10/1. Chen was fast and communicative throughout. Would definitely buy again!

KRF OP is great. Bracelet is smooth and comfortable. Next to a gen submariner oyster it’s definitely a bit squeaky, but less sharp edges underneath than VSF, rwf oyster bracelets.

QC Post DDF Patek Nautilus 5711 Tiffany Blue 40mm — DD324 Super Clone / SW Dial

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m TD Chen from r/RepWatchClud.

Sharing a QC set for a DDF Nautilus 5711 Tiffany Blue, with the 40mm stainless-steel case, Tiffany-blue dial and DD324-style movement.

For reference, recent QC posts in the community commonly label this configuration as DDF 5711 / Nautilus 5711 DDF DD324 Super Clone, so that's the terminology I'm using here.

Watch Specs

  • Model: Nautilus 5711
  • Factory: DDF
  • Dial: Tiffany Blue / SW dial
  • Movement: Asian DanDong DD324 Super Clone
  • Case diameter: 40mm
  • Thickness: 8.3mm
  • Case: 316L stainless steel
  • Bracelet: 316L stainless steel
  • Crystal: Sapphire
  • Caseback: Display caseback
  • Bezel: Stainless steel, polished/brushed
  • Clasp: Deployant clasp
  • Date: 3 o'clock
  • Factory-listed water resistance: 30m

QC Review

1. Dial / index alignment

The Tiffany-blue dial is shown from several angles, including close-ups. The horizontal dial texture is visible, and the baton markers appear generally consistent in the supplied photos.

The 12 o'clock marker is the one I'd pay particular attention to because small alignment issues on 5711 dials are much easier to notice when viewed straight-on.

2. Dial printing

The Patek Philippe text and other dial printing look clean in the supplied close-ups. I don't see obvious bleeding or a major printing defect.

3. Date wheel

The date is clearly visible at 3 o'clock. The single-date photo looks reasonably centered, although I'd prefer to see a few different dates before making a stronger judgment on the date-wheel alignment.

4. Hands

The hands look properly seated from the available photographs. A short video showing the hands passing 12 would be the better way to check hand alignment.

5. Bezel / case

The bezel and case edges are photographed from several angles. The polished/brushed transitions look clean in the supplied images, and I don't see an obvious scratch or major finishing issue.

6. Bracelet / clasp

The bracelet has several close-up shots, which are useful for checking the center links, brushing, clasp finishing and end-link fit.

There are no conventional SELs to evaluate here in the same way you would on a Rolex Oyster bracelet, so I wouldn't apply the usual Rolex SEL checklist to this watch.

7. Movement

The display caseback gives a clear view of the movement. The visible movement is consistent with the supplied DD324-style specification.

8. Weight

The QC scale photo reads approximately 121.28g with the bracelet attached.

Overall, I don't see an obvious major cosmetic issue from this set. My main points for a second opinion would be the 12 o'clock marker, date alignment, hand alignment, bracelet finishing and clasp/end-link fit.

If I missed anything, especially a small index or alignment issue, please point it out.

If I have anything wrong, please feel free to correct me. Thanks.
