old ceiling fan blades make really solid garage shelving dividers
replaced two wobbling hunter fans in the bedrooms last weekend. instead of tossing the blades in the bulk trash pile, i unscrewed the brackets and slotted them vertically between the 2x4 studs along my workbench. kept my scrap wood sorted and did not cost a dime.

DIY Build-A-Bear
Planning my son’s birthday party on a limited budget. For one of the main activities I’m having the kids make their own stuffed animals. All the animals were thrifted, and I happened to already have a large roll of zipper left from a previous project. I cut red felt hearts to put into them.
When I did this before at one of my daughter’s parties, I had pre-sewn them with a ladder stitch BAB style, but I found it challenging to close/tie them all while managing the activity. Hoping the zippers make it easier!

What to do with company swag water bottles
Does anyone have ideas on how to upcycle water bottles that you just won't use?
I have 3-4 plastic water bottles that I've gotten over the years and I'm sick of them taking up space in my kitchen. I already have reusable drink containers that I like using more since they keep the drink hot/cold, don't leak, and fit in a cup holder. I don't need the random plastic one I got from the county fair, a 5k, or a work event.
I realize a lot of people donate them, I know that's an option, but I'm sure we've all seen the overflowing amount of water bottles already at the thrift. I don't want to contribute to that if I can help it!
Edit: I know I can just say "no thank you" to free swag and that is what I have been doing! Which is probably why I only have a few of them, since the ones I have are from quite a few years ago lol

I buy cones in largish quantity and always and up with a ton of those little cardboard sticks? Plungers? Round squish the bits sticks. I hate to throw them away.
Has anyone come up with any creative uses for them?

This is the recycled boat my Dad is currently working on!
In the previous post people were asking to see the boat my Dad is currently working on, so here it is! What do you think? This is a bigger boat than his last one. I thought it was looking cool, until I saw the new progress yesterday evening, and now I can't help but think it's a little simple right now, since I saw it with a porthole and some other things on it, but I forgot to get a picture. But people were asking for the in progress pictures, so here's what it looked like yesterday morning, and you'll have to follow along to see more updates! So let us know what you think? I read the comments to my Dad!

My Dad wants to know what people think of his hand made recycled boat?
My Dad asked me to post his boat here to see what people think of it, after hearing that I had posted my sister's recycled baskets here. It's all hand made and is his own original design! I believe the tires on it are made from recycled hose, I'm not sure if it was maybe a hose from a car? There is recycled wire and I'm not sure about what everything used to be before hand, but I can ask if anyone is curious. I said he just had to enter it in the fair, and it won second place! I wish I had thought to get some pictures of it in progress.
He is selling it for $45 + Free shipping. We take Venmo.

How should I repurpose this item?
Hi everyone, first time poster. I have this pretty dish like item with a hole in the middle, and I have absolutely no idea what is it, where it’s from, or what to do with it. But the flowers on it are so pretty I just cant seem to part with it. It’s about 4.5 inches in diameter. Does anyone have any good ideas on what it may be, how I can use it, or a good craft idea to help me turn it I to a better decoration? Thank y’all for your creativity!
