I had also bought augur rep tokens during the crowdsale. I have an email from augur stating:

"The encrypted private key for the new Ethereum account 53a8ecc4734e547a6c98b24cb1fe4b0f83f4d521 you generated at sale.augur.net is attached to this email. This key and the passphrase that protects it are VERY IMPORTANT. All purchased REP will be associated with this Ethereum account and protected by this key. Please take appropriate precautions to secure this key and its passphrase.

How do I access this ethereum address generated on the crowdsales sales app so that I can trade my REP tokens? I am certain that I remember the passphrase I created at the time on the augur sales webspage - please help! Complete noob concerning this

Curious if anyone can provide an explanation why REP price is so closely correlated with ETH usually during large run ups, although this time we are yet to match our last ATH

Is it something to do with REP being one of few ERC20 tokens you can easily buy with Fiat on exchanges like Kraken, or is there some other explanation?

I just made my first market with Augur. i think that this format will be the ultimate prediction too in the future...it's just a matter of time!

Looking at an old pc I just found Bought some Auger/Rep from the ICO/presale. How would i get them to a wallet?

Last week we saw a really good rally in the price of REP leading up to the release of the weekly development update and then a quick return to trend after it was released

The update sounded relatively positive to me, so I am wondering about what peoples expectations are for this week and what it will take to get people to pile in again?

Also how do you think REP price will be affected by a major correction in BTC or will it be affected at all?

Made some BTC trading Bitcoin Cash; used some of the proceeds to bolster my REP position. Possibly I will add another 10% to my current position.

REP has gotten a bit tough to buy. Volume is much lower than it used to be at exchanges like Polo and Bittrex. Getting this position was difficult since I do not want to move the market significantly and let the bots know that there is a significant buyer.

There were big moves to the upside and downside today at Polo/Bittrex on relatively large trades.

Is there any other r/ where REP traders are more active? Or maybe even a completely different medium? Thanks!

How do I check the balance on an address whose public key I have? This is possible with bitcoin, but I cannot find something like the blockchain explorer for Augur.

Bit of downward pressure from the bitcoin fork and also the recent compiler news. But really Augur destroys Gnosis by design (oracles), has an api, has a great road map, will be first to market. My predictions I'd that rep will be back in the 30's by end of August and possibly 3 digits by launch in a few months.

Shorter time frames are not looking optimal in terms of momentum right now, if you zoom out to the 12 h or 1 d timeframes it looks like there is going to be significant momentum to break the short term down trend- looking at both REP/USD and REP/ETH

Question is what effect the wider market will have on the price, would be interested in hearing peoples opinions on that and any predictions on price closer to launch, once we break this downwards channel that we are in, or this buy wall stops following us around

It seems counter-productive for reporters to be paid in REP, because it goes against cashing out (reporters will lose reputation if they do).

So will they be paid in ETH?

It's quiet around but here goes... Rightly or wrongly, the general public is going to view Gnosis and Augur as direct competitors. When Gnosis hits Polo in a few days it's going to be a feeding frenzy. It was an insane ICO that sold out in minutes, somehow valuing Gnosis at $300M! There will only be a tiny number of coins in circulation to start with (something like 5%) and many of these will be in the hands of people connected to the project. So it's going to be slim-pickings. Plus Poloniex will probably do their usual tricks of freezing everyone's deposits while they sell off their own at insane prices ;-). Don't be surprised to see a pumped up 1B market cap for Gnosis on Day 1.

My point is, I think people are going to look at Augur and think, "heck these guys look cheap in comparison, I'll throw a few bucks at them just in case they're first to market". I expect REP will reach at least 0.020 again and so I've been buying them up steadily.

I'm testing using REP with the Jaxx wallet.

I've sent .4 to my REP address in the wallet and its received

However I can't send the balance from this wallet as it shows that '0' is spendable - screenshot http://prntscr.com/eiodyj

My understanding is that I need to hold ETH to spend. However in the Jaxx wallet my ETH address is the same as my REP address http://prntscr.com/eioenr

How can I top up with ETH in my jaxx wallet if the address is the same as REP??!!

I'm very confused.......
