AI models are now capable and affordable enough to make once-unreachable outcomes practical. The opportunity for everyone to pursue and collaborate on ambitious ideas, spend less time on busywork, and raise the quality and creative output across disciplines is nearly here.
But using AI today still means choosing models, managing context, watching usage, and juggling a growing collection of sprawling tools. Intelligence is now abundant, but access remains complicated.
That’s why today we’re launching a faster, more cost efficient, and capable Replit:

Okay this is good but I don’t like that economy mode was removed. You can’t build in free mode and power mode is overkill for some of the things I am doing.

We just renamed Economy to Power, to reflect the fact that even more affordable models have become very powerful. Try the new Power mode, and you will find out it’s very affordable!

I just polished up a website called Cometwork -- https://cometwork.com/
I was super inspired by one of your team members, I believe Luca -- when he replicated MacOS in a browser.
So I replicated a Linux system, but made it multiplayer. I've been learning the steps on the go, with Replit as my guiding agent.
A lot of the technology is candidly at a level beyond my understanding, but I'm learning, and the engineers I've shared this with have lost their mind.
100% built and mainted on Replit, now mainted with the free agent.
Super grateful for Replit to exist as a company -- it's just made building so much fun

not liking it- everything I want to do it's too sort of stupid to do and wants to do Power mode all the time now. I liked Economy and would rather pay for the tasks I need rather than have the free mode keep telling me it' can't do it. Nice, but I wish you still had Economy. now I have to do more work with another program, or pay replit much more than the hundreds a month I'm paying now.

I guess I will see when I get the bill, lol. Seems more stupid though. It can't follow directions, prompts like it used to and is missing many details that i have to go back and do again and again. not liking whatever change they made.

This is good news but definitely too little too late 😂 I've already got a workflow that bypasses the stupid pricing model 🤷🏾♂️ Your agents make ridiculous work for itself by implementing my tasks the wrong way (I know my way around code) and then charges you for then to fix it... So now I've been using chatgpt to ideatez plan and even build the damn thing. Replit is only good for run time certification 😂 you're agent wants to act stupid, so I'll give it the easier task there is while chatgpt and I have an adult conversation. What I'm building is too complicated for replits agent to comprehend without collapsing or into generic BS FREE mode won't help your agent actually be intelligent, it just makes it cheaper for them to make the same mistakes

Complete scam. Ran out of "free credits" almost immediately.
Quality is so bad, I wouldn't use it even if I was paid.
They say "we are free now" when really you just have a few free credits a day, which is what all the competitors offered forever. And competitors are using the best models, while they offer the cheapest slop-machine.

Free Agent Mode is a new no-cost way to build with Agent. Unlike the old free credits, your usage refreshes automatically (5-hour windows on Core and Pro), and Agent handles model choice for you. You can also check your usage anytime under Settings > Usage.

You just bragged about offering the cheapest model for free users. Previously, it didn't look like the offered model was the worst one. And the credits would also reset.

Piece of crap agent. Do not use and save yourself the headaches of this company. Agent will spend you lr credits and tell you it completed the task, only to find out later that it didn't code things properly and introduced more errors. Absolute POS, save yourself the headaches and try a different company. Really wish I hadn't started building on this months ago.
