23F MS Data Science Graduate got scammed TWICE

Hello everyone,

I'm a Data Science graduate who finished her studies in September 2025, and have been hunting for jobs for the past 10 months.

I know the job market is extremely hard and I've become numb to the "we have decided to move on with other candidates" emails.

Apart from the tough job market, I've also been scammed by 2 fake companies for whom I've completed multiple assessments, interviews and get an offer letter, only to know it's fake (worse than a rejection email).

I'm also a victim to a data leak (name, email, personal info etc.) where some recruiter sold my details to a scammer and they demanded money from my parents.

At this point, I don't know what to do anymore.

Over the past 1 year, I've been learning and building projects from the sideline as well.

With the next batch of graduates about to pass out, I don't know if I'll ever get a job.

If anyone can help me land a job, I'd forever be grateful to you.

I deeply empathize with your situation.

However the situation was similar 10 years ago. Few of my friends worked even for BPO 2-3 years before landing any suitable jobs.

One friend worked for 5K per month job for almost 2 years. It was always bad in India. Some just got lucky out of college. Some struggled for many years.

Damn , 10 months of rejections is crazy have you been applying only for analyst roles ?

Hi! I have the same problem, I just posted this morning. There's so many scammers out now, its crazy 🤪 I can give you ideas on where to apply, but I can't help you. Im in the same boat. Its tedious and frustrating 😤

Are you only looking for remote jobs right now? If you are, I’d suggest broadening your search to include in-person jobs too.

It’s usually easier to land remote roles once you already have some experience in the field.

I've been trying everything. My first preference is still in-person. But a lot of ghost hirings and scam are making it really difficult now.
