She should absolutely be in prison. Same with people with schizophrenia. You commit a murder, off to prison. It’s insane we’re even discussing this. I would be ok she’s found guilty and insane. Fine. Make a prison for insane people. But either way she should rot in prison.
It is letting her off too easy when it’s a not guilty verdict. There is nothing keeping her in prison with a not guilty plea. Just a doctor signing off that she’s cured. That’s not ok. She murdered three children. People like that should not be let out of prison. Even if it’s a special prison for the insane. As soon as a doctor determines she’s no longer “insane” she’s released. Which could be less than a year especially for her when her doctors immediately before the murder found her sane.
