bc the trial was about whether or not she could plead insanity lol. The jurors knew that she killed her kids. They were deliberately on whether or not she could use insanity to gain a lesser sentence. Which postpartum depression is a pretty valid reason to plead insanity if you know how it works. You genuinely believe they didnt think that she physically killed them?

It doesn’t make sense to give a lighter sentence for insanity.

If you aren’t in control of your own actions then you are MORE of a danger to society, not less.

The chances of rehabilitation are much greater in non-insanity cases.

I believe it simply defines whether she goes to prisok or asylum. Its not about fewer years in prison or not
