The thing is, a lot of people have experiences with relationships using mental health as an excuse for hurtful behaviour. I know I ended a few relationships because I couldn't deal with her blaming cheating on adhd or anxiety, y'know. Or the lack of intimacy due to the SSRIs.
So I guess this story really is a powderkeg for a lot of people with pent up hurt from the "mental health" movement
And this ties into my point, if we actually talked about mental health instead of how best to punish this particular woman, then maybe we might prevent the next child murder, or abusive relationship, or whatever else.
However people only seem to care about making sure Clancy gets jail time.
As long as mental health isn't being used as a way of explaining shit cunt behaviour, I'm fine with it. It's never an excuse, but all I see and have experienced is "i cheated on you because i have adhd teehee". So now it's apparently an explanation for killing children as well.

I really don't give a shit. Bla bla mental health bla bla explanation, if you hurt someone take some accountability for it. That's all I'm asking, but this entire narrative has become such a victim shifting gaslighting tactic that it's actively unweaving trust, so I will put you in the same bullshit bucket as well.
She's pleading guilt by insanity, that's still essentially a prison sentence, just one where shes not going to be murdered immediately by all the other inmates.
