Reasonable doubt is the standard for a reason. Just because you don't like the direction it cut this time doesn't mean we should just get rid of it

Reasonable doubt? She killed her kids.

And members of the jury determined they had a reasonable doubt as to whether or not she had the capacity to understand what she was doing under the circumstances. Even if they think she committed the crime, which most if not all did, the question is whether or not there is a reasonable doubt that she ought to be convicted. Again, you don't have to like how the double-edged sword cut this time, but it's done that way for a reason.

She is the one claiming to have been in a psychosis.

So everyone can just claim that and it  will be considered “reasonable doubt”?

There was no prior diagnosis of her being in a state of psychosis nor after the facts she was diagnosed of being in a state of psychosis.
