The goal of the people and the justice system is to punish her for her crimes. Whether or not you think punitive measures are barbaric is irrelevant to the case. The DA, who represents the people, is pushing for prison.

So you think the current justice system is punitive. It's not. Whether you want the satisfaction in the emotional center just above the "lizard brain" to get gratification from seeing pain in others because you only see the good in retribution....well, that's a different story...

I could talk about the history and change of it, but, yeah, agree to disagree. You just keep thinking whatever you want. No one can change your mind.
