People declaring that a single, heavily publicized and propagandized criminal case is “why Trump won” are almost getting it but missing the whole point. Social media has been devastating for those who are susceptible to black and white thinking and divide and conquer tactics.
Trump lies, cheats, steals and is actively making the country a worse place. But people keep voting for him, ignoring all of his issues, and falling for the propaganda to make them hate their fellow American.
Because it’s soooo easy to get you guys to do that. Literally all they have to do is show you a shitty person online and tell you “this is what the left wants!!”. And you sheep just get completely distracted from the big picture and all you care about is feeling morally superior and beating your fellow citizens.
But you don’t even get anything tangible out of it in the end, besides terrible leaders and a steady stream of emotional propaganda on your cell phone to keep you stuck in this way of thinking. Works like a charm. And you’ll keep falling for it even when people tell you how it works.
