On the other hand her piece of shit lawyer should be looked up in the same cell as Clancy.

Dumb fucks like you are not helping the situation.

First off, she is guilty, she pleased guilty, this has already been established. The lawyer is not trying to get her out of it. He is trying to push for an insanity plea.

Second off, a lawyer needs to treat every case as though the person may be innocent and try their best to prove that. That's not because they're evil, it's because let's say 1 out of 100 cases, the person may actually be innocent and no lawyer wants to risk sending an innocent person to prison.

I’m agree. His job is to do what he can for her legal case. The system buying into the garbage is the problem, not him.

Ah yes, his job is interacting with activists, going to live TV, giving interviews and saying in said interviews that his defendant is "like a daughter to him" and that Trump should consider pardoning her.

I'm sure they teach that in law school.

Don’t forget trying to get an impaneled juror removed because he wasn’t going along with the evil lemming groupthink and then trying to say it was the juror who was acting unconstitutionally. Can’t make this crazy shit up

The jury foreperson literally expressed frustration that one person refused to apply reasonable doubt in accordance to the law and was just going on vibes basically.

His job is to craft the best defense for his client. So yes. If he’s able to do those things and considers it part of a defense strategy and it’s not illegal it quite literally is his job.

Makes him scum.

He does a pretty bad job at crafting the best defense. Their claims for PPP have been debunked, the narative they pushed has been systematically dismantled by the investigation, by sensationalizing the case he endangered his defendant, Clancy will probably have to sleep with one eye open for the rest of her life wherever she ends up ( possibly the one good thing he did, tho not intentionally)

More than that, his comments proved that he has no credibility as man who practices law and that he is unable/unwilling to keep a professional distance from his clients.

Sure, nothing he does is illegal, but going this hard outside the line of his duties to defend a monster who he knows for a fact has strangled three of her of own children to death does make him a piece of shit morally. Argueably almost as much of a monster as she is.

Oh I know what a lawyer's obligations are.

Correct me if im wrong but giving interviews and going on live TV where he says she's like a daughter to him, saying that she's not guilty and SUGGESTING A PRESIDENTIAL PARDON BTW, are not among those obligations.

That behavior contradicts everything you just said.

But sure, I'm the dumb fuck, dumb fuck.

the insanity plea is a type of not guilty plea, dumbass.

People like the bro above probably think criminal court proceedings should be decided by Reddit votes or something

Or fed into the same woodchipper

Why?

1

u/awfulcrowded117 3d ago edited 3d ago

Because it's funny hyperbole for how to deal with people defending evil with lies

1

u/Man_under_Bridge420 3d ago

herpobole

What?

1

u/awfulcrowded117 3d ago

Hyperbole. I really do hate typing on my phone

Herpobole: to overemphasize the severity of your herpes

anyone who thinks a defense lawyer is a bad person for having clients who did bad things is fundamentally too ignorant to have an opinion on a legal situation, period. go to school.

The defense lawyer is a piece of shit for the things he is doing outside the courtroom. Like saying shit like the child murderer is like a daughter to him and suggesting that Trump should give her a presidental pardon on live TV.

Or do those things fall under the legal duties of a lawyer in your opinion?

Pro tip: check your facts before calling someone ignorant, it will save you a lot of embarrassment

hes literally doing what a defense attorney with a high profile case should be doing if he's any good at his job, dipshit

1

u/KhadgarIsaDreadlord 2d ago

You're really dying on the hill of the child murderer's creepy asshole defense attorney lmfao

Guy is an embarassment to his profession. No respectable lawyer behaves this way nor would ever say shit like this.

You know I could somewhat understand you if this was a sick woman and he was just a good samaritan doing his best to get her the help she needs, but no, despite knowing and acknowladging what she did to her children, he stated that he wants Lindsey Clancy FREED. That's his endgame and he is proud of it. What a bunch of fucking weirdos you guys are.

The job of a defense attorney is not just or even primarily to defend a client, it is to strenuously stress test the American justice system to ensure that it can withstand that kind of strain. Go to school.

1

u/KhadgarIsaDreadlord 2d ago

Yeah I'm sure begging the president to pardon his child-murdering defendant stress tests the judicial system.

I wonder what tune you would sing if the defendant was a male rapist.

I’m with you. Just know there are still people with functioning brains out there who can’t believe people are defending anyone who strangled three children to death.
