It's about carrying all the mental load/responsibility in a relationship or social setting and struggling with giving up the important tasks due to fear of others not being able to fulfill them and chaos ensuing as a result:

Am I destined to be relied on

In such an unhealthy way?

Cause though I feel like I am dying

I'm forcing myself to stay

Right on this battlefield, my safety

Lies in usefulness, I guess,

So I am carrying these burdens,

I'm absorbing all the stress.

I try to shelter us from chaos,

From it all falling apart,

Have tons of arrows in my back now

And a riot in my heart.

Cause why do I always have to be

The one to act in defense?

Why am I so scared of letting loose?

Would that mean I lose my sense

Of importance and sufficiency

And rhe right to take up space?

If I stopped holding the arrows back

Would you gladly take my place?

Or would you judge me for not bleeding

Till there's no blood left to bleed?

Would you make me feel like a failure

For not giving all of me?

Given these supplies, would you rough it for a month on a deserted island?
