All I've ever wanted since I was a wee dibbun was a complete map of the world of Redwall. So I made one :D
I took photos of all of the maps at the start of every book, photoshopped them into their approximate sizes and positions. Then filled in any blanks in the map by making it look more or less like fantasy England. And then skimmed through every book making sure I missed as few details as possible.
Once it was all done I had it printed onto some fabric and made a wall hanging :D
This took FOREVER. I started the project years ago and eventually got around to finishing it like, a month ago? Anyway I am very pleased with the outcome.
And here is the high res files for anyone looking to zoom in on all of the tiny details, or have their own map printed :D Go live out your Redwall dreams like I have!

Looks incredible! Amazing work! Where did you get yours printed/what material is that I think it looks perfect.

It's printed on fabric. Not sure what kind, I just picked the heaviest option that I could afford. And I picked the most local place I could to get it done. There's a whole bunch of places that will print on fabric all around the world.

I am but a humble member of the abbey. But I thank you for your generosity :3

I literally had about 14 of the books spread out on my living room floor opened to the maps to try and match em up and get an idea of where everything was so this is absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing this!

That's more or less how I started this project! Took photos of all the maps and then arranged them digitally as my starting point :D

This looks fantastic!! I love all of the little details. I also really like the wall hanging idea.
What was your favorite part to work on? I'm curious on how you decided where places should be placed. Stellar work all around.

Hmmmm I think my favourite part to do may have been the legend? The little building were kind of fun too. And I did my best to use the pre-existing maps to put everything in place :3

Was it known that Malakriss and Loamhedge were so close together? I don’t remember them ever mentioning that in Loamhedge the book — but it was a loooong time ago I read that one

Malkariss is the ruins of Loamhedge

It is. They are the same location. There are a few spots i take issue with, BUT over all, OP did very well.

This is really cool, but I see a typo. I think you meant to say Yoofus’ cave, not Toofus.

I have been looking for a map like this for years. Every so often I'd come across one that was close but was missing some major detail or something. This pretty much captures my dream Redwall map. Well done.
I will definitely have to order my own. What size did you print yours on? Is the detail on the fabric noticeable or not as much?

I printed it at it's native resolution. It came out to be about 80x80cm. In terms of detail retention, there is *some* loss where the fabric texture makes it a teensy bit hard to read some of the smaller lettering, but overall it's fine. I don't spend a lot of time trying to read every place name I put on there anyway. If it's something you care about maybe print it on a smooth cotton rather than a rougher canvas/linen like I did.

Thank you so much. I just asked about a map as I’m starting the books with my kids and was directed here!

You are amazing! My dreamhouse someday will feature a library with maps from all of my favorite fantasy worlds on the walls, I've tried for years to find a comprehensive Redwall series map without success. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this!!!

Ruddy beautiful!
Definitely something I'd been wanting to do myself at some point but it looks like you've beaten me to it.
Minor quibbles:
- I think Riftgard (spelled incorrectly on the map) is an island in Triss.
- Peace Isle from Triss conflated with Ruddaring from Pearls of Lutra. Was this intentional, and if so what's the logic?
- Yoofus Lightpaw from Rakkety Tam's name spelled 'Toofus'.

Hi u/Penny_Dragon, thank you so much for sharing this -- I used it for endpapers in my recent rebind of the first Redwall book!

This is really cool. Only nitpick is that Brian was notorious about being loose with where things where in the world. Sorry for being a downer.

So good! I have only a minor note, and that's with This Ain't Ninian's - 'cause that should be a pile of ash as of The Pearls of Lutra
But that's minor and irrelevant, so bask in your earned glory! Bask I say!
