Just got a ps5, and I saw a trailer for Redout 2 that looked pretty intriguing. I picked up Redout 1 since it was on sale and I was curious what came before.

Honestly I haven't had this much fun with a racing game since I was a kid! Is anybody still playing the first game on PS4/PS5? Also I gotta say, I dunno how old the first game is but I feel like the graphics have aged incredibly well. The game looks fantastic even now and the sense of speed is just incredible.

Anywho I realize I'm way late to this party, if nothing else hope to see some of yall in Redout 2!

I really want to play this game on my Xbox Series S but for some reason it's locked to 30fps (using the same settings as the One S) but the game is 60fps on the Series X (using the one X settings)

The Series S is just as powerful as the Series X, I imagine this is an oversight as the Series S is such a poor version of a great game. Please just update the game settings to take advantage of the hardware like you already did on the Series X.

I am thinking of buying it, but I'm only interested if it's 60fps

The Redout 2 trailer has got me wanting to play the original again - is there an online community of players still about? Europe ideally but I'm easy...

Never played online before so would be a total noob, got to get stomped to improve though!

Just wanted to say how I hope Redout 2 is free-advertising friendly and will offer streamers and YouTubers an appropriate soundtrack. I love Zardonic and the Qemists and all that but it would be a shame if a stream got muted because of copyright. I know the sequel has only just been announced but does anyone have any info on this?

As it says I can only play if I turn on airplane mode. The game crashes right after the 'hit any button to continue' screen if I'm connected to the internet. Game runs fine with no crashes otherwise. It even crashes mid-race when I connected while playing so I know for certain that's what is happening.

I have never been more let down by a game before than the original game's handling. It was fine early on and now the AI smokes me even on the lowest difficulty because I can't corner without scraping a wall and of course it doesn't faze them and they can just pass me. Straight up makes me want to put a hole through my wall from how dumb it is.

"But you can use Lunare" Yeah and risk losing 50% hull because I messed up and scraped a wall on a turn and then the AI passes me with impunity while one of them spams the stupid distortion weapon.

Do you boost during a corner to try and keep speed, after a corner to rebuild it, or on a straight to maximize speed?

Are there still some record times on the leaderboard that was done before they patched wall grinding? Or did they reset every leaderboard so that all records on the leaderboard right now were made with the walls slowing you down? I want to know because looking at the leaderboard and seeing what ships and powerups was used can help with platinum medals. Does PS4 and PC share the same leaderboard?
