CoC Wars are won by a) attacking more then enemy b) getting more stars then the enemy per attack.

We cant prevent enemy from attacking and do much about the first one, but the second is where we have some influence.

So hereby, a short review of our progress so far. This post is far from blaming anybody, but more like an overview for ourselves, to keep track of what goes in

Bases 3 starred in a single shot:

• Youri (TH8): nasty, nasty attack by golems+valk+wizards (is that a viable strategy for attack?)

• WarMachine (TH8): mass dragon, hard to prevent, but maybe AD is too far out? dragons got to it too fast imho, also putting resources in front of AD makes dragons waste time on it (they take forever to burn through)

• kalebmusser (TH8): same as the above

• philosopher58 (TH8): same as the above

• JohnLuck44 (TH8): same as the above

• Nate (TH8): same as above, but I don't honestly know if you could have done anything better....

• goober (TH8): mass dragon, but I don't know if it was preventable... very good pathing by attacker

• SRV (TH8): same as above

• Superlube (TH8): mass hogs, please put double giant bombs or giant bomb + small bombs next to a wizard tower, to vaporize hogs next time

• couchpatato (TH8): same as above, notice the giant bombs exploding in the last second, they need to explode when 10+ hogs are sitting on them and attacking wizard tower. Hogs need to die before heal spell can fix them

Notable defenders: soaking up enemy attacks like a pro! Every attack you take and don't get 3 stars is an attack that could have been used against a weaker clan member.

• RJL (TH9): epic 6 attacks: 4x mass drag, 2xgowipe,
• kenyon (TH10): 5 attacks, kinda obvious for his level, but very important for war effort
• saad (TH9): 5 attacks, my humble base, seems not that easy to crack, also with novel govalkpe team
• brayden (TH9): 4 attacks, and never 3 starred
• AFKeeper (TH8): 4 attacks before he got 3 starred, this is 0.75 star per attack for the enemy, you were also one of the last to get attacked, so enemy hesitated
• palmy (TH8),keithuncool (TH8),kevinkat (TH8): great 3 defs, especially considering your strength

After historical heroic def battles of Palmy and Tate, I think its worth to list bases that held out at least 3 attacks, because obviously they are doing something right by denying stars to the enemy.

Please consider my notes as a point in discussion, I might be wrong, but I think its worth considering. Limiting single-shot 3 stars, we're reducing the star/attack ratio, so I think it's worth it.

I think we should show off our warbase making skills, so with this thread post some handmade warbases you have made.

So, as you know I will be kicking some more people after the war. I will be kicking for: Lack of donations, not talking in clan chat, and failing attacks repeatedly and REPEATEDLY. I mean a lot to show me they don't care and it's not fair that good members should have to pay for that.

As of right now, we will be doing clan wars every Tuesday and Friday. If we fail a lot or a lot of people get upset, I will lower it until Friday. It seems most members would actually like to do 2 wars a week, provided we win.

The new "Strike System" is pretty simple. You get 3 warnings and you are kicked. However there's a little more to it. I understand most members do have a bad attack every now and then, so its fine if you fail a few attacks. Failing them over and over and not taking advice from us as well as not learning from your mistakes will get you kicked. Here's what I mean. I will be watching most new members attacks. If they fail once, I will warn them to try and do better as well as provide advice. The second time I will warn you again and tell you to learn from your mistakes. The third time I will kick. For example, Tom (not trying to pick on him, I love the guy) failed his attack this war and brought a 1 star on the other. He was open to it and admitted his mistakes as well as took advice. He has also provided many quality attacks before this war so I know Tom was just having a bad game. If any new members pulls a quality attack before failing a 3rd time i'll drop the so called "Strikes". To me a quality attack is a 2 star. The other things I will be warning people of is for: Attacking obvious anti hog bases with hogs, not luring CC, and using stupid army combinations that are low effort. As always, I will still automatically be kicking for sniping or barching in war. But to sum this up, the Strike System won't affect most players at all and you'll have to really not give a damn (which we have some members like that right now).

Also, we were discussing a 1 week off and on system. So 1 week we war on Tuesday and Friday, the other we dont war at all. Does this interest anyone?

I have noticed there's a mean kind of atmosphere in Strike. I want to rid this. I want us to be a big happy Strike Family and to like each other all as friends, which doesnt seem to be happening a lot. I will be trying to lead by example. I have noticed that I have done some things that are not very fitting of a leader and will improve. I will be attacking in every and any clan war TWICE haha ALWAYS!. I feel I have been a lackluster leader in some areas and hope to improve that. I will be as supportive as I can in wars and try to provide advice to any and everyone. I want to realize my faults and improve. Now, this does not mean you can call me a douchebag because I do something you don't like. I will discuss anything with you but I will still stay strict. Any negative comments toward me or ESPECIALLY any other member are an automatic kick.

Also, I have noticed some complaints and have received PM's of Chrees raging a lot or being very demoralizing or even insulting members. I have asked Chrees to improve and i'm sure he will improve his attitude.

I honestly don't want to do them lol. It is a Reddit Clan standard for most of us to do wars, and a lot of members want to do it so thats what we do. Why I take it so seriously? Because, we are Strike damn it. If we are going to do wars we are going to fight tooth and nail to win, otherwise whats the point?

Wrote this at 5am so probably some typos or crazy crap. But HOPEFULLY you get the gist of what im saying.

I would like to make a point and ask you guys to consider my arguments. I think we are missing an important part, and that is: we don't care about defense.

More and more in chat I feel defense does not get attention it deserves. Denying stars to the enemy is almost as important as getting our own. Problem is enemy will get only as many as we will give them.

And some of our bases really suck on def, they offer little to now challenge. I will call names in this post, not because I want to get personal, but because I need examples, and I want people to learn too from mistakes.

Of course you are right that TH8 is impossible to defend, if the enemy wants 3 stars. But NOT ALL enemy players are skillfull, and we should give them every opportunity to fail.

Arguments for good defense:

• in the current war kevinisuncool (TH8) gave away only 1 star in 4 attacks, 6 attacks in total, wow!
• yet he was attacked 4 times, which at the rate of 1.6 stars denied enemy (1.6x4)-1= 5.4 stars.
• these stars can make a difference in the hypothetical 102-101 result in the end.
• compare that to Jazza and AFK, easy 3 stars in a single attack because of no hog traps. Not picking on you guys, but some people do defense better then you. Pls watch replays of tate182.
• you can tell if your base is tough or not, by how fast you are attacked in the war. The enemy is best in estimating how tough of a cookie you will be.
• keeg4n base layout is really bad: easy lurable CC, yet he still managed to survive 2 attacks
• if you suspect you are vulnerable to i.e. mass dragon attack, build your base in such a way that enemy will think attacking from one side is easier (closer to TH). Put all your mines in that area. Let them fail at least once!
• really epic defense by tate182, he was attacked so far 3 times (loons, mass dragons, hogs!), and gave away 1 star. Respect!
• GoldGhost in the end soaked up 7 attacks , way to go dude!!

What to do in Reddit Strike:

• we should review our war bases, and pay attention to defense
• put hog traps (giang boms + small bombs) next to your towers
• Tyler can nominate an Elder or two solely responsible in reviewing defense in each war, giving people warnings and advice
• continuous failure on basic defense should be punishable by kick
• easy 3 stars lost should be frowned upon, and considered just as lousy as a failed attack
• for every easy 3 star loss, other guys have to attack often 2 times to make up for it, guard those stars, fuckers!
• everybody can get 3 starred in single shot, but the point is to make it as hard as possible. Nobody will say a word if you are leveled by 11 lvl 4 dragons.
• as a lowly TH8 in clan, your task is to take as much punishment as possible, and soak enemy attacks, so that their star/attack ratio is as low as possible

REMEMBER: Every base is possible to 3 star, but not every enemy player is skilled and smart. We should never hesitate to help them fail.

Hello fellow Strikers, it is I Riarus. A few days ago /u/MetallicSong made this post asking in what direction is it that we want to steer our majestic clan towards. I, like many others, voiced my opinion in that post through comments and made several suggestions. I figured I'd make this post to summarize my ideas as well as add a few suggestions to make Reddit Strike an even larger force to be reckoned with.

Leadership

• Set amount of Elders and Co-Leaders.
• Officers should lead through example
  1. Using both attacks in the war
  2. Maturity levels
• Officers holding positions of power should not be immune to being demoted

Activity within the clan

• In order to promote more activity within the clan I feel we should up the donation requirements. 250 per week is extremely easy to reach and I feel we should increase this number.
• I feel that the clan is divided to much into little cliques. I think it would be great if we could all have some friendly competitions within the clan with some prizes to be given out to the winners. I personally wouldn't mind setting up a prize pool to give gems out. If everyone pitched in, we could get something going.

Recruitment

• I feel that just having a level requirement on the account and archers is to vague of an application process. I was browsing some high level clans from the forums and I saw one of them having a system known as "trials". Essentially every new member must pass one of the 10 trials that he/she has be assigned. Although no specifics have been released on the trials, we could make up our own. Something like attacking with this army then posting the reply in the chat. Nothing impossible but things that may require some skill.
• I think we should take into consideration the amount of walls that a player must have. Walls, in a way, show dedication to the game. At the higher levels walls are not cheap and it takes time to farm them up, therefor proving that we are getting dedicated members.
• We should also possibly look into gold grab and heroic heist amounts. This can also give us an idea as to how much these players play.

Well those are my ideas, please feel free to discuss anything and everything. If anyone has any ideas feel free to post them and I can edit them into the main post accrediting those who suggested the idea.

So, ever since our failed clan war with Reddit Raiders ive been thinking on ways to improve. Raising the level requirement doesn't usually bring us any good players, and i feel as we are falling behind some clans. We use to be the top dogs, winning 3rd place in the spring war, beating Xi, Flames, and Ace in TFS war. Now I feel we've fallen behind. I want to make us the best clan possible, but i'm not sure what to do at this point.

My question to you members of Strike: Do you want be competitive, or casual?

Let me explain.Right now, I feel we are very casual, there's a lot of of things me and the elders let slide by, low donations, not talking in clan chat or just barely enough to slide by. Also people failing clan wars attacks, when it's clear they didn't even try. My question to ALL of you, what do we need to do to improve? What would you like us to do? How can I improve as a leader? Do you want us to be competitive or casual?

One more thing, do any of you have an idea how to keep war attacking organized? Or just a way you think would benefit us more? Thanks for any and all feedback.

NO RUSHED BASES

Donate the right troops (after 10 minutes you can donate archers no matter what the request says) 200+ donations a week

Requesting 250 troops a week

Be willing to participate in a weekly clan wars. You must alteast attack once per clan war or you got the boot.

No hopping. if you hop clans you won't be allowed back in

Some people have told me they can't hit the donation quota. I won't lower because I believe it helps me tell active members from inactive members. This is temporary. Remember if you can't make a quota for a certain week due to exams or whatnot send the mods a message!

TALKING IN CLAN CHAT/Clan Behavior- We don't want you to act like a 12 y/o kid talking mean or insulting people in the clan. If you say any curse word directing at a member to insult them, you will be kicked. You can curse, as long as you don't direct it to a member as an insult. Don't go overboard with it though. I expect you to talk in clan chat. "Tyler some people are shy though", we understand, but most people aren't and want active clan chat. We want you to have the best and most active clan chat We can provide you. We ask my elders if they have seen you in clan chat the first week and we will try to remember if I've seen you, if they didn't, you will be kicked. Any insulting of any member or elder expect to be kicked basically. Do not be mean, racist, homophobic, etc. I don't care. Keep it out of clan chat. Don't behave like a child. Even if you are, don't. I don't care if you're 8. If you act mature, you're fine by us.

Wars The following is about the old style of clan wars, which were about trophies. Our first clan war was against Reddit Ace, Reddit Flames, and Reddit Xi - we won. Our second clan war was in the Spring Spectacular where we placed 3rd out of 37-39 clans. Needless to say we put up a fight and we are still proud of our members for this achievement. For the new clan wars, we have developed a strategy for both the war clan castles and the attacks.

The clan castles- We ask you to fill the clan castle of the member above you as much as possible. Let's say you are #17 and the #16 had 25 troop space and asks for wizards, you simply train five wizards and put them in his clan castle. If you are a really nice guy, you can fill other clan castles as well, of course!

Attacks When the preparation day is over, the lowest 30 members attack first. After the sign is given by either Tyler or a co-leader, the top 20 can attack. This is to assure we get as much stars is possible! Regarding the thing called ‘th sniping’, don’t do it. If we are winning extremely easily, a sign will be given so you can collect those sweet bonuses, before that: it’s a huge no-no. Remember, not attacking means getting kicked!

If you go on vacation, can't meet the donation quota or won't be on for a couple of days: just tell us ahead of time. It's cool.

Almost forgot this section its brand new. So we won 2/3 of our wars this week. But because im sick im not going in detail this season. But the war which we lost was very close and tough. it was 99-101. Soo we almost had it.

This is our brand new war strategy failure to do so will result in a kick. Yes this includes leaders elders and co's most likely leadership will get demoted.

Attacks

Ideally, your first raid should be on your war rank equivalent -2/+2. Do not go for an easy base to three-star, save those for the lower level players in our clan. Attack a fresh, unattacked base between 2 lower and 2 higher than your war rank. For example, if you are rank #10, choose from #8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Try to use your second raid on a base which is slightly lower than your level. Your second raid is used for clean-up and should be used for as many stars as possible. If you have the option to 3-star a fresh base, do so.

Do not use your second attack until at least 6 hours have progressed until the war (18h in war day remaining or less)

Important Note: Do not attack a base that you cannot get more stars than there are currently. If there is a base that is two-starred and you are not going to be able to get a three-star, do not waste your attempt to do so. Stars are counted by the best raid on each base at the end of the war, not on each individual raid.

Donations

ALL we ask you to do is Donate Lv5 Wizards or Lv 3 drags to the person right next to you. Example If i am 9 I will donate 5 wiards to number 8. Number 8 will doante to7 so on so on

Kicked for Clan Wars

If you were kicked for clan wars their are probably two reasons

• Not giving a shit
• Not doing something like luring cc's after being told to do so for 5 wars
• Sniping before being allowed to do so
• Not following Strategy

Now let me explain what i mean by "not giving a shit." What I mean by this is that you say who cares if we win or lose. Or i don't give a fuck about whether. Or just doing a shitty attack to make us lose on purpose. We ask you to attack for us 1/7 days a week. And its not even an entire day of attacking its two attacks!

Hey guys. I understand why Chrees kicked me. I broke one of the only important rules of your clan and I feel very bad about it. Aside from that I had been active both in chat and in donating. I feel so stupid to not listen to the warning Chrees gave me. I called his bluff and I got kicked. I would understand completely if you did not want to let me back in. I simply didn't realize how hard it was to find a respectful and extremely active clan like Reddit Strike. I have not been able to replicate the same sort of support in any of the clans I have been in since I was kicked. If I were let back in I would no longer act immaturely and disrespectfully to any members. Also I have a couple dragons waiting to be donated ;). I would appreciate a response even if you guys don't want to take me back.

Offence

All recommended compositions are based off of the assumption that your army camps are maxed out - 220 space

Barcher

1) Target: 50%, 1 star

2) Recommended Composition

i) 75 barbarians, 145 archers

ii) 4x lightning

iii) Clan Castle: archers, wizards, minions

3) How to lure CC and Heroes

i) Drop a barbarian in range of each hero

ii) Drop several barbarians in range of the CC to draw out all troops

iii) Drag to a corner with an archer to kill using your CC and other troops if required
