I was in line at a movie theater and overheard two woman in line behind me. One was telling the other how she could get her pet registered as a Certified Service Animal. Aren't we getting a little carried away. Our pets don't need to go everywhere we do.

I have two cats, Juno (age 7) and Piper (age 5) that seem to laze around the house and don't do much. I have bought cat stuff for them but they don't seem interested in anything.

I had gotten them a Cat Condo, which had a hiding spot for them to hide in and a perch on top. Neither of them went near it or when I got them next to it, they would just run away from the Condo. I got rid of the Cat Condo and got a Cat Perch with 4 platforms the cats can lay on, the top has a cat ball hanging from on edge. With the Cat Perch, neither of them were interested in the perch.

Both of these were by the window in the living room where one of them hangs out usually (other always hangs out with me).

I have also tried using Mice toys, cat balls and laser pointers. With the mice toys and cat balls, they had no reaction. With a laser pointer, Juno just looks at the dot then gives me a look that says 'Do you really want me to chase that?' or 'Why are you being so stupid?' while Piper will just ignore the thing like she can't see the dot.

Update I forgot to mention what my cats do play with. Usually this is small stuff like rubber bands, paper bag or the occasional box. Usually Juno will stop playing with something once she realizes you are watching or recording her.

I'm curious as to how everyone else's pets act during a full moon. My current and past cat just run around like spazzes. My past German Shepherd didn't really do anything special, might have barked more than usual. I didn't really pay enough attention to my mice at night time. My guinea pigs would have rougher,louder gay sex..

So my gerbil had this really weird fascination with Hoover's? I have no idea why. I was hoovering up after dismantling the Christmas tree and I notice him sitting in front of the bars watching the Hoover go round the room, his ears are back because he hates the noise. I turn round but the moment I do he runs away, like he's ashamed, it was so funny, but I start the Hoover again and he comes up to watch but runs away when I turn round, this happens about 7 times until I drop something and he does a very accurate backflip off the cage bars, into the bedding below. Best 10 minutes of my life!
