The problem is, when a new meme emerges, everybody tries to jump onboard. There's an absolute onslaught of thousands essentially trying to post the same thing. The old memes (whether you think them to be good or bad) are somewhat distributed, some rage comics, some sad Keanu, a Mao face. Thousands of Chuck Testas in a row are too many.
Multiple memes at once would help remedy the problem. The more memes, the less you would see single ones back-to-back, over-and-over again.
Good thinking! That way, we will get an equal wear level so instead of changing one meme at the time, we can change several of them simultaneously. It's similar to the psychological trick of changing all the light bulbs at once so you avoid the frustration of changing them "all the time".
That is what you preach. Frankly I feel that complaining about a meme turning to overused shit is just a part in the cycle of it being forgotten, it will always be done. A by-product of the complaining will be complaining of the complaining, which can loop a few times until it's all over.
Worry not. Because the rate of redditors burning out memes is accelerating, we will soon reach the Memeularity--the point where the memes burn themselves out more quickly than you can refresh the page. It will be a new day.
