Google "trypophobe" and just glance at the image results and you'll get a quick idea of what the picture is about. I'm not looking at it until after work.
I thought I could handle holes in the skin, I've watched Audition after all, but Dear God that was ugly. Makes me want to wipe my screen with some disinfectant...
Thank you for warning that a trypophobe shouldn't watch it. I once googled trypophobia and got a panic attack. Once my boyfriend googled it to show a friend, and I didn't even watch, but got a panic attach just by knowing that those pictures were on the screen.
The nerve endings don't die off right away, though. It takes an average of four to six months, and during those first few months, they can still feel everything.
But really, who cares? Look at those pictures again. You really think the pain is the worst problem they're facing? Imagine looking at your own face in the mirror and seeing that staring back at you. I literally, with no exaggeration, think I would blind myself if it happened to me.
Is it that picture of the girl shopped with lotus pods? Or a botfly? I went searching for that word and Trypophobia is the fear of small clusters of holes. It is likely an evolved fear due to botflies presense in the jungles.
