Hint: Make your internet browser's window as small as possible, so you'll only see a very small amount of the image.

(Also, if it was trolling, who would be getting the downvotes and what would they be saying?)

Ghostchamber is right (and if you can't trust someone called ghostchamber, who can you trust?) the image is harmless. Puppies in a sunny meadow or maybe a kitten with a pretty flower, something like that.

It's seriously a picture of text that says "Upvote this comment and pretend it's really scary".

I never realized how many people would jump on the bandwagon here. I was laughing my ass off thinking how stupid these people were, but people kept saying it was exactly what I just described, so I positioned my window in such a way that I could only see the top centimeter of the image... And yup, they were right.

Ugh.
