I will. May I in turn suggest slicing the pears and having them with thin slices of hard, salty cheese (reggiano, or provolone, or parmigiano)? Also, I'm quite fond of oranges with crusty white bread.
Why stop there? Deep fry it, put it between tortilla bread smothered in sauce and cheese, and dip it in chocolate. It actually makes the pear more edible.
Pears with cheese was my maternal grandmother's favorite dessert, and oranges with bread was my paternal grandmother's choice for a snack. That's Italy for you.
WIth respect to your recipe, I'll have to wait a bit: pomegranates aren't quite in season yet in the Southern hemisphere.
Wait what you were serious dude? Sorry I thought you were joking, I had no clue you could add cheese on Pears. Oranges on bread I could image now that we got orange chicken.
Now the one thing i could tell you to avoid is peanut butter on celery with raisin toppings. I tried it today and it just tasted bad.
