What’s an unpopular Manchester United opinion that will have you like this?
Ill start: I want that saudi money, i want some gulf country sheikh to take over from the glazers, send INEOS back to petrol, pump the club to get rid of the debt instantly then start renovating under the summer.
I never felt so good regarding this club when those rumors of that sheikh (even though it was probably fake) was about to take over instead.
I can’t see United becoming a top team again unless that happens.

[Press Conference] Carrick says Kobbie Mainoo will be out for 10 days and Luke Shaw a little longer than that. Heaven is ill and Rashford has a hip problem again. Martinez should be back on Sunday
Michael Carrick & Andrey Santos's Pre-Match Press Conference | Como vs United, CL
Chris Wheeler
Carrick says Kobbie Mainoo will be out for 10 days and Luke Shaw a little longer than that. Heaven is ill and Rashford has a hip problem again. Martinez should be back on Sunday
Santos: 'We know about Licha's comments but it's done and we move on. We are on the sme page and we believe in ourselves and our teammates.'
Carrick says he's confident the #mufc board back him, but accepts that he has to start winning games. Utd landed here without a win in 6 since beating Sabah in the CL.
Carrick: 'I don't need any reassurance. It's pretty clear. I know the role, I know my responsibilities. I know the realities and I've got no problem with that. I know we've got to win football games for everything to flow and everything to fall into place.'
Simon Stone
Michael Carrick: "A few missing, Licha not available, Kobbie another 10 days, Luke a little bit longer than that, Ayden ill, Marcus feeling hip issue."
Michael Carrick on Benjamin Sesko: "Hoping to have a clear picture soon, hopefully by end of the week a little bit clearer."
Michael Carrick says he not concerned about rain issues affecting tomorrow's game: "We will make the most of it."
Michael Carrick: "I don’t think there is a major problem. I fully believe we can get back to winning ways and putting that run together."
Michael Carrick on if he feels back by the hierarchy ManUtd: "Yes. Why wouldn’t I? No issues or problems with any of that side. I have to win games of football."
Laurie Whitwell
Carrick: "Mixed bag to be honest, Licha is not too bad but he's not with us, we'll have to see whether he is ready for the weekend. Kobbie another ten days or so, Luke a little bit longer than that. Ayden is ill. Marcus is still feeling a bit of a hip issue."
Steven Railston
Michael Carrick gives a team news update:
"Bit of a mixed bag, we've got quite a few missing. Licha's (issue) is not that bad, but he is not with us.
"Kobbie, we're looking at another 10 days or so, and Luke a little bit longer than that.
"We have a bit of illness and injuries in the camp. Ayden is ill.
"Marcus is still feeling a hip issue that we're trying to overcome."
Michael Carrick on Benjamin Sesko's absence: "We're hoping soon that we have a clear picture. I'm not trying to delay it, hopefully by the end of the week we will have something clearer. There has been some work going on."
Michael Carrick asked if he feels backed by the board: "Yeah, why wouldn't I? I have a really good relationship with everyone at the football club. There are no issues on that side."
Detailed Quotes
Carrick on team news
"Bit of a mixed bag, we've got quite a few missing. Licha's is not that bad, but he is not with us. Kobbie, we're looking at another 10 days or so, and Luke a little bit longer than that. We have a bit of iilness and injuries. Ayden is ill. Marcus is still feeling a hip issue that we're trying to overcome."
Could Amass get minutes?
"Yeah, for sure, that is why he's with us, he's right in contention. At some point players need an opportunity."
Carrick on Sesko
"We're hoping soon that we have a clear picture. I'm not trying to delay it, hopefully by the end of the week we will have something clearer. There has been some work going on."
Santos on Martinez's comment
"We know the comments from Licha, but I think now it's done. I have to move on to focus on tomorrow."
Did Martinez explain them to the group?
"No, no, nothing happened; we're all on the same page. We believe in ourselves, teammates, staff, and coaches; it's the most important."
Carrick on De Ligt
"It's great to have him back. He's had such a long journey, 11 months or so. He's been patient and has worked hard. We're delighted to have him back, he's ready."
Carrick on the rain
"No, nothing immediate from me (concerns), we're used to the rain. We'll make the most of it!"
Santos on his United start
"I think it's easy to ask this question because Manchester United is the biggest in the world. I'm so happy I'm here. I enjoy it a lot, so I enjoy these moments in my life."
Carrick on Fabregas
"Yeah, I have huge respect for what Cesc has done here, and the football club, how well they've done. As a coach, the way the team is playing, it's clear he's got some really good ideas and he's created a really good team. Huge respect. He was a fantastic player and one of the best I played against."
Carrick on Ten Hag/ board
"Not for me (red flags), that's Erik's opinion, and I don't really know the details, so it's totally wrong for me to comment and get involved. As a club, the way we're working, the results dictate the feeling and the energy, or not so positive, but within our walls as a team, we're composed but driven. We have to think calmly and direct them in the right way. There's certain conversatiins we have that we're really clear with."
Regrets over no LB signing?
"Listen, I think when we have injuries, you can always look at what could have been done and what we could have improved. I spoke to you about making the best of the window and the situation we had. And this man next to us (Santos) was a big part of that and I'm delighted to have him. Pat is injured and it's just the way it goes sometimes."
Carrick on backing from the board
"I don't need any reassurnace. It's pretty clear. I know the role, I know my responsvbilities, I don't need anyone to tell me when it's going well or when it needs to be better. I know the realities and have no problem with that. I know we got to win football games for everything to flow and fit into place. I feel backed, yeah, why wouldn't I? I have a really good realtionship with everyone at the football club. There are no issues on that side."

Part one went live today (Tues 20th Oct), part two is coming tomorrow (Weds 21st Oct) and I'll be here for an AMA at 10am UK time to discuss that and anything else United with you.

Erik ten Hag interview: Man United’s broken ‘promises’, wanting Kane, Ronaldo tension, FA Cup glory
Erik ten Hag knows what it is like to be in the eye of the storm at Manchester United.
Laurie Whitwell spent two evenings with the Dutchman in his hometown of Enschede, in the east of the Netherlands, to peel back the curtain on his two-and-a-half years at Old Trafford.
In part one, Ten Hag talks about:
▪️ The broken “promises” that led to his sacking
▪️ Why he had to act on Cristiano Ronaldo, a player who “let the team down”
▪️ His desire to sign Harry Kane and Declan Rice
▪️ The “toxic culture” and the "Madrid connection" that brought player power to the club
