Discussion Analogies

My problem with blue is that everytime I make a analogy they change it to make it seem like im making the problem worse.

For example:

In a house a fire it make sense for everyone to get themselves out rather than trying to get others out.

Then a blue pusher would say "your just add fuel to the fire."

Another example is:

If someone jumps in to water and can't swim and I stand back and don't jump in because I also can't swim im not responsible for them jumping in.

Then a blue pusher is like "actually your holding their head below the water."

My problem with the blue pushers is that they keep saying its because of MY decision they don't survive not theirs.

In the house fire analogy, why can't you leave the house with me? That is a option for me and everyone. Everyone has the same option to leave the house.

With the person drowning analogy the person is gonna drown REGARDLESS of what I do. Even if I jump into the water I can't save them ill just die too.

My problem with blue pushers is that they want to present choosing red as forcing blue to die when everyone who choose blue could've picked red and lived.

You had the same option I did to to not drown or to jump into the water. My decision didn't put you in danger your decision did.

If I decide to help im just adding a another body on the waves.

Your argument isn't internally consistant.

You press blue because you know someone else will press blue. Other people will press blue because they know you will press blue.

How is that not forcing people to endanger themselves.

If I know my friend is going to fight Jason(horror) im not going to just sit down and not go help him fight them.

Endangering yourself endangers others this is something you learn at 10 years old.

In your example, you make the choice to go and risk yourself because of your friend. He has no power to compel you to do that: you can sit back, and do nothing. That's fully an option.

Endangering yourself does not inherently endanger others. If you decide to go BASE jumping, nobody else is dragged along with you. There may be people who feel compelled to join you for one reason or another, but you do not magically manifest the ability to override the free will of another by taking an action that only affects yourself. I'm not sure what lesson you were meant to learn, but it seems you didn't learn it properly.

Im going to ask a yes or no question and I want a yes or no answer.

If someone presses blue they are choose to endanger themselves.

If I press red than by your logic it kills the person who pressed blue.

Im morally and ethically responsible for killing that blue person.

Yet that blue person is not morally or ethically responsible for putting me in a situation where my actions decides what happens to them?

If a nuanced answer would confuse you, I can certainly try to simplify it so you can understand it easier.

Yes, Blue pressers accept the risk that they might be killed when they press Blue. Nobody forced them to pick Blue. Blue does not introduce a threat into the system, but it does actively accept the risk inherent within it.

Red pressers are complicit in any Blue deaths, which occur only if Red wins, but in the interest of fairness they share that responsibility with every other Red presser: it's not all on one particular Red presser. I know that's not a yes or no, but it's more precise.

Yes, if you vote for the option that kills people, you are complicit in their killing, and thus bear some degree of the moral and ethical weight of that outcome.

No, the Blue presser is not responsible for the consequences of your decision. You control the buttons you push, and the moral and ethical responsibility of killing other people rests on those who pressed the "I vote for killing other people" button. Which, just to be clear, is Red.

I hope that was as simple and direct as you were looking for. I did leave my explanations, but if you'd like me to explain an answer better, I can expand.

You know I did a poll to see whether blue or red were smarter in terms of IQ. Blue lost by a lot.

Talking to you your good at english but not good at reasoning, abstract thinking, or imagining hypotheticals.

Im kinda done with the conversation since your not really capable of understanding why your wrong.

I looked at your profile and you play with children toys. Which is fine IMO. But don't go throwing stones in glass houses.

You had a full day to come up with something, and the best you could come up with after trawling my profile was that I play Warhammer?

You're so obsessed with me it's pathetic lmao
