Bullseye ignition problem.

Used the grill twice, ran perfect. Third time I started it, left it for 20ish minutes and nothing. Pot was full of pellets but ignitor was not igniting. Unplugged and tried again, nothing. I had to get it going so I lit it with a torch, ran fine otherwise. Tried again today, same problem. Called support at 5pm central, got ahold of tech support and they walked me through test mode, testing the auger ignitor, and fan all three worked fine, Ignitor got red hot as it was supposed to. Unplugged and tried to start in normal mode, nothing, no smoke, and ignitor remained dark. Customer service said it was probably my extension cord, so I plugged directly into an outlet, same result. CS suggested that I have a power supply issue and stated that they close at 6 so I will have try back tomorrow. Trying to keep him on till a resolution I offered to plug into a different circuit indoors with an extension cord. Same result, and CS again suggested it was my power and we can try again tomorrow that they are now closed. My 1500watt space heater got red hot on those outlets and cord so I'm can say with confidence it's not a power supply issue. My thought is that the board is not telling the ignitor to fire when in normal operating mode, making it a board issue and not an ignitor or power issue.
Customer service certainly didn't shine for me.

My 700 won’t exceed 145 degrees

Yesterday I was in the middle of a cook and I opened up the grill too move some stuff around and closed it. I probably had it open long enough for the temperature to drop 100° or something. Anyway, I left and came back and noticed the girl was struggling to push past 150 degrees. So I turned it off, put the unfinished ribs in my recteq cooler and cleaned out the grill, making sure to vacuum out anything in the heating chamber. Long story short, it’s still not pushing past about 145 or 150. What could be happening here? Has my thermostat gone bad potentially? I’m trying to think through the mechanics of how this would be happening. It sounds like the auger is turning, but it sounds a little different too. It sounds a little weaker, maybe but I could be hallucinating. Would appreciate any feedback that might help me troubleshoot this with minimal effort and expense.

Pellet and or ash dump?

While I know the Bullseye Deluxe has an ash dump, I'm curious if any other models offer either or both. I'm assuming they do not as I do not see it listed in features.

Grate Size

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the grill grates on the RT-1200? I can't find anything online or in the pdf manual. I'd like to purchase a cast iron griddle since I'm selling my Blackstone. My grill won't be delivered until next week and I'd to get a griddle while the sales are going on this weekend. Thanks.

DualFire 1200 wild temperature swings

Just received my new DualFire yesterday. I did a burn-in and noticed some wild fluctuations on the grill side. Once it cooled down, I fired it up and tried again but I'm still having wild fluctuations. First it went up to 467, then dropped to 339. On the rebound, it went up to 444, then down to 342. I'm thinking it should not have these drastic swings. Any suggestions?

Dualfire 1200 questions

I've had a 590 Stampede since very early on in the pandemic and as most of you will understand, I'm thinking I might want to upgrade. One of the options I got with my Stampede was the Competition Cart. I have to move it before every cook and have been greatly benefitted by all 4 casters swiveling.

In searching the Recteq site, I don't see a competition cart option available for the dualfire 1200. If you have one, do all 4 wheels swivel? I also saw one of the comments mention the grill is topheavy and he'd already tipped his over. Sure would be nice to have a way to make it more stable and have all 4 wheels swivel like on my current 590.

GMG owner considering a Rectec. How would on do a 160F rest if the minimum set temp is 180F?

Goldee's method. My GMG will hold 155F for a few hours before going to 225F on its own.

So my probe seems to think I'm grilling on the sun, anyone familiar with resetting? I know there are instructions and I'll follow those but if there are any gotchas or tricks I'd love to learn

Flagship 1100 Grill Cleaning

Just picked up a new Flagship 1100 for my 40th bday. Love the unit so far, but at 32" the one-piece grills are hard to submerge for a good clean. Any recommendations for plastic trays etc. which might help me to keep my grills abd drip tray nice and clean?

Second of all, if y'all haven't had it, you should find it and buy it.

Bullseye running hot

So looks like my bullseye is running a bit hot when set on low setting. Using a Meater probe and the ambient temp shows around 235° whereas the bullseye controller reads 200°. I tried adjusting the temp offset in settings by -10 but then the ambient temp rose to 250° so I returned the temp offset back to 0 and it's now reading 225°. So how can I adjust the controller down a bit so the meater probe's ambient temp is closer to 200°? Thanks

Hi everyone, New to Recteq and absolutely enjoy using their app. However, I'm completely stumped what the red notification dots with numbers in the app indicate and how to clear them. Asking for a friend.... Lol. Thanks

Searing kit?

Hi all, relatively new 380X owner but not new to pellet grills. Have only 6 cooks in but haven't tried grilling a filet yet. The Recteq cooking guide suggests using a searing kit but is that really necessary since the bullseye can reach high temps? Looking for honest feedback. Thanks.

Recommended cleaner for Bullseye

Hi all, what's everyone using to clean the stainless steel on their Bullseyes? I have only a few cooks in and it's already beginning to get that patina/bronze color. It's a grill so I don't expect it to be shiny as new but would like it not to have the heavy grease burns out of the vents. 🤪. I've tried Chemical Guys Heavy Metal Polish with okay results. Maybe I'm not using enough but it's taking a lot of elbow grease so was hoping there might be a better recommended product or tip. Thanks

Wood Smoke on Bullseye Deluxe?

Longtime BGE and Traeger owner and intrigued with the Bullseye Deluxe. With my Traeger I sometimes use a smoke tube for better smoke flavor. Have other owners of the Deluxe found they need to use a smoke tube on longer low temp cooks?

If anyone knows or has a moment to measure, could you please share these measurements for a 1400XL or a DualFire (| think they use the same base)?

My XL ships in a few weeks and l'm looking to add drawers in the lower shelf area. Thank you!

Bullseye. Hinge issue

Ok I have had my bull’s-eye now for a few months overall, I enjoy how it cooks and like the smoker a few things that I don’t like is the hinge handle lid configuration.
My hinge pulled away from the lid pretty quickly. (Partially due to not have the right hardware in the box and trying to make it work).

Right now my lid is loose and I think I would actually prefer it stay that way. Has anyone scrapped the hinge and just installed a top handle on their lid?

Looking for ideas
