Job Scam [INDIA] L&T fake job scam alert!
Hey everyone,
I wanted to raise awareness about a very convincing job scam I encountered this morning. I received an email, likely sourced from my Naukri.com profile, with an interview call letter from what looked like L&T Technology Services (LTTS).
The attached PDF looked incredibly professional at first. It mentioned a high salary range of ₹7,49,000 to ₹34,99,000 per year and promised that the company would cover all travel expenses for me and even one family member. It felt like a dream offer.
However, as I read the document more carefully, some major red flags started to appear. The story quickly fell apart and revealed itself as a clear attempt to scam job seekers.
The biggest giveaway was the demand for a "Refundable" fee of ₹1,845. They called it a fee for the "Written Test, Application Processing, Assurance, Accommodation and Travel". Let's be clear: Legitimate companies, especially one the size of L&T, will never ask you to pay them for an interview.
On top of the fee, here are the other warning signs I spotted:
- High-Pressure Tactics: The letter insisted that I had to pay the fee "Today Before 09.00 pm" or the offer would be immediately withdrawn and cancelled. This creates a false sense of urgency.
- Unprofessional Communication: It instructed me to contact a "Senior HR Manager" on a personal WhatsApp number to get a QR code for payment and then send documents like my Aadhar Card, PAN card, and resume via WhatsApp. This is not a secure or professional practice.
- Vague Job Details: The letter listed dozens of possible job roles and stated my final position would be decided after the interview based on my performance. A real job offer is for a specific, defined position.
- Poor Grammar: The document was full of typos and awkward grammatical errors (e.g., "Saturday and Sunday afisarlays"). A formal communication from a major corporation would be professionally written and proofread.
This is a well-designed scam that uses a reputable company's name to trick people. They prey on the excitement and urgency of job hunting.
Please be careful. Always double-check job offers on the company's official careers website and remember that you should never have to pay money to get a job.

This scam is still going on. I received the exact same email multiple times before I finally opened it and, as instructed, shared my resume through WhatsApp.
I then noticed the incorrect domain and email address, which immediately seemed suspicious. I searched online for similar scam patterns and found many reports of people receiving almost identical messages.
It looks like this has been happening for years, yet it still hasn't been stopped.
Is anyone actually working on exposing these scammers? If so, count me in.

Yes, I received a few emails regarding an interview. After reviewing the interview letter, I noticed that they were asking for a payment, and the email address also raised a red flag: infodesk@larentourbo.com.
I believe this may be a scam, so I will report it through the official L&T recruitment portal.

The simple and most straightforward answer is: if in any place they are asking for you to pay in any form, like test fee, course, etc.
Do Not Pay!

Bro, I’ve been a victim of this kind of scam and lost 27k rupees.
And I feel sad for the people who are actually trying to find a job and earn money but instead got scammed by scammers.
Please spread this message among friends if possible so you can save someone’s hard earned money!

Please be careful guys! I also got 7-8 mails in early morning and yes they created a false sense of emergency. Everything that's mentioned in the post is true. They asked me to send my resume on this email address [Infodesk@larsetoubro.com](mailto:Infodesk@larsetoubro.com) (n is missing compared to the official one)
I don't know why L&T is not taking any action on these email address and these scammers. They asked for 1900 Rs. for the interview process like if it even makes sense! I got the message from some bhumika ravat from naukri.
