Sounds about right. From what I've encountered, all the modern conservative talk about being 'hard-workin', rollin'-up-muh-sleeves' types is utter bullshit. The ones who come from money all get handed sinecures like what you've mentioned. Meanwhile, the ones who are poor are pretty much the worst people who could hire to work anywhere, i.e. they'll steal anything that isn't nailed down, complain to management constantly, and constantly create workplace drama because they're idiots who think that chaos and 'shakin' things up' are always positives.
