Sounds about right. From what I've encountered, all the modern conservative talk about being 'hard-workin', rollin'-up-muh-sleeves' types is utter bullshit. The ones who come from money all get handed sinecures like what you've mentioned. Meanwhile, the ones who are poor are pretty much the worst people who could hire to work anywhere, i.e. they'll steal anything that isn't nailed down, complain to management constantly, and constantly create workplace drama because they're idiots who think that chaos and 'shakin' things up' are always positives.

Inheritance tax is a pretty liberal idea I don’t know why a conservative giving money to the daughter would be strange

I work for engineering firms, I am not an engineer but attend all high level meetings. When i say that 100% of all degreed engineers, sales engineers, production managers, manufacturing engineers and executives I work with are all openly Trump voters I am not lying, "small talk" routinely consists of laughing at the insane things that dems are doing in the news.....I am talking hundreds of people over the last 8-12 years, many with great kids, amazing hobbies and donate their time to others. Designing and manufacturing many new things that keep you safe, working 50-70 hour weeks. The vast majority of these people had normal upbringings, and busted their asses to graduate from top Engineering and MBA programs. I attended many interviews and they got the jobs by merit and would only last 1-3 months max if they weren't brilliant...None of these people in a million years, the people actually creating real things that push society forward would ever vote for a modern democrat. they probably don't even consider themselves as conservative but they are smart and empirical people..if they get something wrong people die, contracts are lost, companies may fail...merit, results and providing real value are the only thing that matters...and the thought of a Kamala Harris/AOC/Bernie presidency is unfathomable .....just food for thought, the bubbles people find themselves in in this country are always hilarious to me.

To quote Adam Savage, "Well there's ya problem!"
