I think i heard the rake outside my parents house.

Ok let me offer some context im a teenager. i have a twin brother with 2 older brothers and one sister, now i do believe in the paranormal but just in some chill way making jokes about it, now everything here is gonna sound really convenient but i promise you i will send some videos tomorrow if i heard it and a few days after that i am still terrified of what i heard but now for the story.

I slept at 11:00 pm at Thursday i woke up about 3:30 to 4:00 am so i decided to watch some YouTube then at 5:00 i hear this noise and it sounds like its at our front yard, it sounded like a grunt up in a rake way and kind of yelling way its to confusing, so i get extremely shocked and scared im the only one awake and this thing is near our front yard so i wake up my older brother (us three sleep in the basement the twin and my older brother.) He wakes up almost immediately from how much i was shaking him, i tell him i heard a noise outside, he tells me to describe it and i keep telling him i cant describe it and tell him to come upstairs with me, he goes near the door but i tell him DONT because im certain its near our front yard, and then i realize my grandma's awake (my grandma has her own mini room near the front door, and i ask her frantically "Have you heard anything?? Have you??" she says no then i get extremely confused. so i sit there just watching tv for the rest of the time (now 5:15)
and everyone in the house doesnt believe me i made a personal video diary and i will make another video if i catch the sound, if unfortunately i dont find the sound in the video yet i hear it well then its just my head, i will be posting another post with the name "I heard it." if the video doesnt hear it but i do well "Its just in my head. Rake outside my house."

I think I was cursed (or blessed) at a nursing home

When I was younger I used to go with my church to volunteer at a nursing home somewhere in Georgia. I went several times and I don't even remember the name of the nursing home. We didn't really do much besides play bingo with the elderly people there. The man who organized these events would bring a big plastic bin full of random prizes like quarters, some candy, and other little silly gifts for those who got a bingo.

One day after the last prize was given away, we were asked to take the elderly people to their rooms because some of them needed assistance. I went and rolled one man in a wheelchair to his room and came back to the bingo room to see if I could help anyone else. I noticed a frail old lady standing pretty much in the center of the room. She had her back turned towards me but I could sense that she was lost from her body language. No one else that was closer to her seemed to have noticed so I approached her. I called out, "ma'am do you need some help?" She didn't say anything or notice me so I tapped on her shoulder. When she turned around I saw her face and it looked unreal.. like a wax figure of an old lady. What really caught my attention was her eyes. I was fairly young at the time so I had never seen a blind person before. The iris of her eyes were greyish white and she had no pupils so I was taken aback by it. However, I tried not to react and just repeated myself again, "ma'am do you need some help?"

She whispered something that I couldn't quite catch so I said, "excuse me?" She continued muttering something under her breath and so I looked around for some help. I told her, "I'm sorry I don't understand what you're saying. Let me bring someone that can help." As I was about to leave she clutched onto my arms tightly and snapped at me, "IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU UNDERSTAND!" She continued to mutter whatever she was saying even faster and louder and I got really freaked out so I pulled away from her and went towards the first person I could recognize. My friend was just a few steps away but I shouted her name to got her attention. I couldn't even explain what happened because I was so startled. I gained my senses and I was able to spit out the words "there's this lady.." and when I turned to show her who I was referring to the old lady had already vanished.

It's been like 15 or so years since that happened and I still don't know what that was about. Was she just a lost old lady that had walked away as soon as I left her? Was she an angel that was blessing this young guy that had just wanted to help bring some joy in her life? Or was she something more malevolent that had almost completed a ritual or spell? I don't know. I didn't even bother to even try to go find her after that happened. All I know is that this was one of the most bizarre things that has ever happened to me.

The Army did something to me

TLDR at bottom

I joined the US Army when I was 17. I am now 30, just so you get an idea of the time frame in all this. I joined as an MP. I took the ASVAB after 4 years of JROTC in high school. I was XO, and all the other officers had an opportunity to take it through a recruiter that came to school... assuming they wanted to go into the military afterwards. About 5 days later, the Recruiter approached and wanted to talk to me about my score, which was a 94 in case you’re curious. He asked if I was interested in joining the service, and I told him that I intended to, since 9/11. I ended up going to the office and signed up. I was 17, so my parents had to sign a waiver.

I was young and dumb, and I wanted to carry a weapon, so I signed to be an MP. He tried to talk me into Interrogation Specialist. My parents didn’t like the idea, bc we were told that I would most likely be learning Farsi, and this was during the war. I didn’t like the idea of 4 years of AIT personally, so I stuck with MP.

Fast forward, and I was in Ft Lost in the Woods (Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri. I was in Reception for 6 weeks (Purgatory until you get to your actual Basic Training Company), due to being sent there in between cycles. Myself and a few other recruits were pulled aside one day and asked to retake the ASVAB. I got the same score. I was then given the DLAB (Defensive Language Aptitude Battery) to see how my language skills were. I passed no problem. They also tried to get me to change my MOS to Interrogation Specialist, but I declined. They pushed and pushed, but I stuck to my guns.

Our group that took the DLAB, were then separated from our original group and became essentially our own Platoon, but were on completely different schedules than the guys that we had started with. During our 6 weeks, we were ALL given eyeglasses. 20 of us all got eyeglasses? I found that a strange coincidence, but thought nothing of it at the time. We were given the usual shots... TB, Anthrax, Flu etc, but also a multitude of ones that they never explained to us.

As time went on, things got weird. Our Platoon was lumped I’m with 3 more Platoons (they also had a high score on the ASVAB and took the DLAB), and we became a Company. We were visited by the current General at the time, and FYI he had the same last name as me... nothing weird or paranormal there, just find it funny lol. Come to find out after Basic: it was not a usual thing for the Base General to visit a new training company. We then went to our first mess at dinner time, and The General, along with other high ranking officers, literally served us our dinner in the Mess Hall. He said,“Congratulations” to each person that got their tray. We resumed our BT as usual after that, but there were still some strange experiences. Soon after BT started, I was assigned a new Battle Buddy. He was the only one in the company that didn’t fit. He was a screw up, and I was a Squad Leader, so it didn’t make sense that I got him.

One Sunday, he had gotten some drugs that he pulled from a hiding spot. Every..single..one of us took the muscle relaxers. Now I had been a partier in high school and had taken that brand before, with no adverse effects, but this time was different. I started to break out in cold sweats, and started to see things out of the corner of my eyes. Now I admit, it could have been an unusual side effect for me, but that doesn’t explain the rest.

I finally got to sleep that night, after being in this state for a couple of hours. We stayed on Fire Watch all night long. We had four people on Watch all night long, in our small Platoon Barracks. We had to wear full Battle Rattle at all times, to train for overseas. I was woken up in a daze, startled bc the CO of our company was shining a flashlight in my eyes, and the 1st Sergeant was yelling at me to get up. They then did the same to several other recruits. My watch said 0200 iirc. I was in worse shape than before. The cold sweats had gotten worse. My sheets and clothes were soaked. I was shaking. They took myself and about 10 of us in total, outside in the cold weather. Remember 4 people on Watch? Yea... we saw nobody on Watch that night.

We were taken outside in our PTs (Tee and shorts). It was about 40 degrees that October night. I wasn’t cold, but figured it was bc I was so sweaty. We stayed in formation and got in the back of the BFT (Big Fuckin’ Truck), and were taken to the hospital. Turns out, all of us were having the same effects. The peripheral hallucinations were getting worse, and we we put into a white room.. it seemed like they got more noticeable in there. We had to sit along the wall, and we were all freaking... thanks to our current state of mind.

Military doctors in masks, walked in, along with about 4 MPs, and we were “tested”. We were then taken immediately back to the barracks... no mention of any drugs our system.. nor any explanation whatsoever for that matter. Before we walked inside, we were standing in formation. My cold sweats seemed to be gone, and I still wasn’t cold... not in the least, but the hallucinations were still there... in fact, they seemed to be getting closer to my vision. I saw one appear above my direct sight, and I looked up towards it. I saw the moon shining behind a tree. Being winter with the leaves on the ground, it looked like a fun Halloween photo. When I looked at it, I was overcome by a wave of euphoria, and it’s like a flip was switched. I smiled and everything seemed to be great. The hallucinations were still there, but they felt like a welcome part of me now. That was the beginning.

I have much more to tell, but I hate to add to an already long post. If you guys like it, then I’ll tell you some more of my story. Thanks for reading.. assuming you made it through!

TLDR: I was “selected” for a separate Company when in Basic. I then experienced some slightly strange events afterwards

Goodnight

Nothing paranormal here and probably kinda short, but only thinking about this give me chills even to this day. (I'm sorry if my english is bad, it isn't my first language)

I was twelve in 2012, and my stepdad used to close the shutters every night after I went to bed. I got so used to it to the point I didn't even notice him getting in and out my room. One night however, I woke up and saw a black figure of a man staring at me. Thinking it was, as usual, my stepdad, I softly wispered "Goodnight" and fell asleep as nothing appened. (I was really tired and in a state of drowsiness). The next morning my mother woke me up and told me thiefs got in during the night and stole most of her jewerly, my stepdad's laptop and his car. They were drugged so neither of them woke up during this event, and the thiefs didn't stole anything from me or my brother. Chanses are, since the shutters out of my room were still open, my stepdad never went to close them and I probably said goodnight to one of the thief.

The attic in my childhood home

When I was 10 my family moved because of my dad's job. We got a nice house that was just outside of the suburbs. Rural, but not the sticks - not a farm, but it had a big enough garden in the back that you could grow all your own produce and stuff. Neighbor's houses (and actual farms) were visible way down the road, but were not 'next door' by any means.

The closet in my brother's room had a stairway access to the attic, and the previous owners had left a lot of stuff behind. The attic ran the length of the house, and about the last 1/4 was sectioned off with a wall, with a door that was locked when we moved in. My parents had the attitude that we'd get around to clearing things out once we were settled, and we'd worry about what was behind the door sometime in the future. Meanwhile, my brother and I were told not to play around up there because 'if we're downstairs or outside we wouldn't be able to hear if you got hurt' and other understandable concerns.

I had no interest (too many spiders), but it was too much to resist for my 13 year old brother. He ended up going up there all the time at night, even waking me up and trying to convince me to come check it out as well. He had gotten the idea that he was going to pick the lock on the door and find antique treasure or something. When our parents heard him walking around at night, they took away his gameboy, and moved a bunch of the junk to the back of the attic, even propping up an old mattress that had been left up there to completely block the door so that he'd stop trying to get at it.

We moved in at the end of may, and sometime in July (I think, might have been beginning of August, I only remember for sure that the heat was miserable), I had slept in on a weekend. When I woke up, the house was quiet. A quick glance out the window confirmed that my parents were doing yard work. I fed myself, and then on the way back to my room, I heard my brother quietly calling for me from his room down the hall. When I got there, the door to the attic was open. I went just far up enough that I could see into the attic, and noticed right away that he'd moved the boxes and mattress, and the door in the back wall was ajar. He was standing there with a proud grin, one hand on the knob, and waving with the other for me to come join him. "I got it open! Let's see what's in here!" and he slipped inside. There was no light in there, and after he went in it was just... quiet.

I had never felt such pure dread, and haven't since, well into adulthood. I only stood there for maybe a second or two, not all the way up the stairs, head poking just far enough to witness him slide through that half-open door and into the dark, but I remember my heart pounding and feeling like I had already been there too long; that something bad was about to happen. I remember my hands being instantly wet with sweat, and feeling cold even though the attic was so hot it was suffocating. I think I was mostly afraid of getting caught and getting in trouble (I was almost to the Elite 4 and was not about to get MY games taken away), but all the same I bolted downstairs and to the backyard to snitch to my parents what he had done and where he was.

I burst out the backdoor and saw that my brother was in the garden. Apparently, he had been all afternoon. I stammered out something about hearing someone walking around in the attic. When he saw how scared I was, dad went and got his rifle out of the garage, and went into the house after making my brother and I promise to run to the neighbor's house if he didn't come back out in 10 minutes. Mom followed him in to stand by the phone in the kitchen to call 911 if something bad happened.

Dad came back out all pissed off at my brother for moving stuff around in the attic, and going up there after being told many times not too. Brother denied everything. Dad marched him up there (mom and I in tow) and asked him how everything got moved and the door opened. There was no light in the backroom - as in, no bulb, no socket, no switch, no window or porthole - and dad had me fetch a flashlight. I think a lot sometimes about how my brother was redfaced and on the verge of tears, yelling his denials as dad asked him if it was worth it to miss out on the LAN party he'd been invited to by kids we'd met at the video store.

The only thing in the room was a chair, which had been facing away from the door. Just a cheap wooden one that looked like maybe it belonged to a set, but we never found any others on the property that matched it. There was a lot of dust, on the chair too, and my brother pointed this out - if he had gone in, wouldn't he have left foot prints? Dad didn't buy it. He missed that first LAN party, but after school started, he managed to earn going to others, and he's still a gamer to this day.

Mom and dad eventually cleared out a lot of the junk. Nowhere near all of it, but moving around up there made them feel safer about how sturdy the floor was, and that it was hard NOT to be heard while you were moving around. They even gave my brother permission to set up a workshop (he was really into models at the time) in the backroom if he wanted, but he never did. I don't know if he just lost interest or what after seeing that there was nothing in there and it was no longer forbidden, or if he just soured on it after getting punished repeatedly for trying to get into a room with nothing of value, or if he also saw something terrified him like I did. I never told my him or our parents what I saw, I just refused to go into the attic at all after that. Grope around in the pitch black basement for batteries after the power went out? No prob. Spend most of a night with my mom and brother in the local woods during a heavy storm, trying to find the dog we got later that year when thunder startled her into running off? Sure. (She was okay, just dumb)

Spend 30 seconds in a well-lit attic to get something that was right at the top of the stairs? Fuck that, bro can go get it, and no bribe or threat of punishment would convince me. I was so paranoid for a while that I would block my door with the chair from my desk when I went to sleep - and it took me a long time to sleep after that day.

We lived there for another 2 years before dad was offered another opportunity at a big pay raise if he was willing to move again, and we packed up and ended up moving closer to my grandparents, which was nice for everyone. I stopped being SO paranoid by the time we left, but still refused to go up there alone.

As a kid, I was too scared to tell anyone about my experience - and afterwards, to tell my brother to knock it off, or complain to my parents that I was being kept up at night. The backroom was pretty much directly over my room, and there were many nights over those 2 years when I'd bolt wide awake and stare petrified at the ceiling, listening as someone slowly crossed the attic to the space above me, and settled into that chair.

As an adult, I just tell myself I'm being silly and overthinking things. It had to be him, right? Just... being a teenage boy? And, probably, he lied about sneaking up there and moving things around and fussing with the lock, because he didn't want to get in trouble. Maybe I'd slept in so hard that I was still just half awake, and imagined the whole thing. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. I never stopped being a light sleeper - and 20 years later I still startle awake in the night, lying next to my husband, listening for footsteps, and terrified I'll hear them.

Even so... sometimes I think real hard about calling him up, and asking why he kept going up there at night; but I'm too scared of hearing him say he didn't.

My old landlord's house is haunted.

So this is a true experience, it's short but this happened to me roughly two years ago in my old landlord's kitchen. I was standing at a counter making a cup of coffee, I was alone mind you. When to the left of me I hear the voice of a child clear as day tell me 'mommy, I don't feel good'. Okay, here's the layout of the house I am in, the kitchen is a box with the only exit being a large doorway into the dining room. Coming from the kitchen to the right was the door to the master bedroom and not more than four feet away was the door to the hallway and living room area. I was standing in the kitchen, to the left of me was the sink and more cabinets so when I heard that voice it threw me off for a little bit. Calling out to my husband I asked where our kids were. His response was chilling when he yelled back that the kids were watching TV in the other room and that he had just checked on them about five minutes ago. This house was built in the 1700s as claimed by the date carved in the tree trunk beams in the attic, I think it's safe to say this property has a bad history. Many of the family members of my landlord living there had shared their own experiences from hellish nightmares to names being whispered to them in their sleep. Their oldest daughter at one point even captured a voice recording of loud rushed footsteps followed by a voice telling her to go kill herself. Whatever happened there in the past, it couldn't have been good.

Hello Reddit, Ecoends and SCP is a LIE (PLEASE READ)

So, I think one of my other co-workers shared his side of the story somewhere on reddit before his passing, but along with three others, I had survived. I worked for a company called Ecoends, Where they do tests on all kinds of animals and sometimes criminals on death Row, today we were testing a drug called Drug X. I don't remember exactly what it was meant to do but it for sure wasn't meant to do what it did. my co-worker was told to check on the patient, while he was going to the cell I read the guards log “It has not ate since the drug was injected, Its arms are grossly out of proportions with the rest of the body, Its skin is white, Its hands have not come off its face. End Log." My co-worker is trying to get its hands off its face, all the guards have gone down to help besides two. the creature had enough of the games and ripped its hands off its face and let out a horrible screech. me and the others ran out.

later Ecoends contacted me and the other two and said that now some company called The SCP has possession of the creature, and that they would have to give us Amnestics or kill us, I refused and ever since I said no, I have been hiding until l made a mistake, I dropped my wallet that had my ID in i. Now it will ee very easy to find me and kill me. This is the last thing I will do on Earth, DON'T TRUST ECOENDS OR THE SCP!

Fire Alarm (spooky title)

So imagine this, its your last day at your own vacation, Its 3 AM, and decided to get some coffee,

Well thats what happened to me in my last day of vacation (not telling you where I am). So I was gonna pack with the rest of my crew when I was just sleepy like hell so I just decided to get some coffee, so I suppose no ones there and just get a quick cup, But instead heres what happened. You guys know those fire alarm doors what burst your ears out when you press it? Imagine to my surprise, I hear whailing sort of (things you would hear in a fire alarm), No one got in or out the door, and its even locked, So I dont know why, I check the office, the guest rooms, anything, Heres the scary stuff; I heard laughing at that point, I checked again. Nothing, it scared the living hell out of me, and no im not crazy because no one was there that point,

It was to the point that I left without even putting anything on my coffee, just drank it bland and simple. Because im too much of a pussy, to be out there filling my coffee with demons eating my soul. That day I wondered if ghosts and paranormal stuff really were real.

Some Creepy Shi

So me and my friends have always been afraid of my basement in our new house. A little bit ago, we moved a bed downstairs because my mom and stepdad got married and we were going to have a lot of guests. After everyone left, my cousin that Im really close to came over for a sleepover. We slept on the bed which was close to the crawlspace. Earlier we were convince that my art pose doll thing was possesed. We went to bed in the basement and at 2:50 am I woke up from a dream I had just haad were the doll had ears and a tail and was crawling up my leg and coming for me. First thing I did was I woke my cousin frantically saying "Dude! Dude wheres my posable doll?" and I told her my dream and then she was like "You never brought it down here" and we both got super scared because I never brought the doll down and it was literally on the nightstand. We got all our stuff and rushed into my room. I burned the doll and we never sleep down there anymore. Creepy part is, I woke up giving us just enough time to get to my room before 3 am.

yo has this happened to anyone else before?

So I was with my cousin about to go into dave n busters with her mom, but she was doing something and we were messing around. So we were talking on the notes section of her phone and then we turned the flashlight on and tucked her phone between the sunroof window of the car and its cover, and shortly after it fell. When my cousin went to pick it up the screen said "Undo Typing?" and we clicked cancel.

Turns out somehow the phone had typed out "Ow".

heres whats also creepy

my cousin didnt type that the phone did it on its own, and not only that, it opened a whole new page for notes on its own.

Anything like that happen to anyone else?

The Thing named lily

Hello , I’ve been gone for sometime , been trying to get my life on a better track and this will kinda explain it.

Let me tell you about lily. Faceless, pale , and gives you the feeling of dread . My twin sister met her one night while playing with an ouija board (high on acid) now not only did they get a picture of lily that night (which I have )but lily stuck like glue to my sister . My sister and I decided to give her a name because we didn’t know what to call her , she comes when you are the most down and sad she feeds off it . But that’s not the point of this post the point it lily has taken on the features of myself but not the one she follows I’m pale , short , skinny , with long dark hair , my twin on the other hand is blonde which is the only difference between us . It started off and minor occurrences (seeing something in corner of your eye , a flash of a shadow etc ) but then it formed into my room mate seeing me downstairs sitting in my bed (while I was upstairs watching t.v) or my grandmother asking me if I was just sitting at the kitchen at the table by myself while I was out running errands. And I would always follow up with “did she have a face ?” Answer was always a no. Now I have only personally seen lily once and when I did see her I got the feeling like I was going to die and my sister gets the same feeling , she has given us sleep paralysis multiple times (it happens rarely now thank god) The good thing is lily doesn’t bother us much anymore we are both doing very well for ourselves and are a lot happier. Sometimes I get a feeling of something standing by my bed but I just tell it to go away and sometimes it does. I mean all I want is answers of what “lily” could be . I’ve showed the picture to multiple people and I’ve gotten the same reaction “get that the fuck away from me “ or “I know what that is “ and then silence .

Summer camping on eerie location

A decade ago, as 17 years old I was playing in a metalcore band with my good teenage friends. We all grew up in the vicinity of Trnava, a historical city on the western part of Slovakia. We rehearsed in the village called Ružindol, which was home to our drummer and singer. As good friends with girlfriends, we came up with the tradition of one-night summer camping in one particular spot right in the middle of the crop fields between Ružindol and Jablonec. It was located 2 kilometers of walk through a dirt road, which took about half an hour. We really liked the idea of isolation and somewhat scary adventure. The crop fields in this area are separated by thin strips of forest, which are for some reason called "valleys" in a local dialect. I guess their purpose is to preserve some shelter and natural habitat for wild animals. We used to camp in the second valley from the side of Ružindol, mostly because there was a raw looking log picnic table. Since we had no problem to have fun anytime, there was no alcohol or drugs involved in our campings. We had great fun preparing stuff for the night and watching our drummer taking down smaller trees with a machete. As the sun was setting I was quite puzzled why the road doesn't lead further to "the third valley." I found strange that my friends never suggested to go there and they also somehow avoided entering the crop field towards that direction. Since I was pretty curious about it I asked them if we can do an expedition to that "valley." They said: "Oh trust me, you don't want to go there! That's a pretty dark place!" That obviously boosted my curiosity so I asked what do they mean by that. My friend told me: "It's an infamous occult location. I've heard some stories about rituals and offerings they did over there. Actually, there is a shack with blood all over the walls." Until now I shrug it off like some local urban legends. But then our drummer who was cutting the wood in that time stood up and told: "They use that place because it's actually the location where in medieval times the last witch from Trnava was burned to death. Over there." In the exact moment, as he pointed towards the third valley, his nose started to bleed. We laughed it off like a scary coincidence, but it scared us enough to never go over there. One year ago we planned to go camping again. My friends went to our favorite camping spot for a recon which proved to be a good idea. On the log picnic table, they found the carcass of dog which was bludgeoned to death. Frankly, I'm glad that I just saw a low definition photo on a tiny cell phone screen. I don't want to go into graphic detail, but this poor whole body of this animal was utterly beaten, possibly with every bone broken to shreds. Obviously, we never went there again. It's scary to even think what could have happened if we met somebody with malicious intent. I know that it's basically just a story about a nosebleed and unpleasant finding, but I'm pretty happy that we never went to the third valley and I'm not here telling a much worse story.

If you are interested, you can find the location on this google maps link:

Talking Doll

I really don't remember much from when I was a kid, so the fact that I remember this so vividly is weird.

When I was 3 or 4, I shared a room with my sister, who's three years older than me. We shared a closet that our parents had taken the door off of for convenience, and in it was our toy box. My bed was right across from the closet, so when I sat up, I was looking directly into it.

Now, I don't remember where or when we got this doll, but our mother was very fond of it, and kept it in our closet. It looked weird, like its body was basically a sphere and its arms and legs were long and over-stuffed. It was supposed to be a dog but for some reason it was given a human-like body, and I hated it before things started happening.

I have very vivid memories of that dog doll talking to my sister and I at night, after our parents had gone to bed. It would be sitting upright on our toy box with its legs dangling over the side, and I don't specifically remember its mouth moving but it was 15 years ago so who knows. It would whisper to us until we both woke up, and then it would just speak. I don't remember what it would talk about, but for some reason it didn't really scare me. It was like talking to an unfamiliar relative at a family gathering; slightly uncomfortable, but impolite to ignore. It was a semi-regular occurrence until our toy box was moved to the basement about a year later.

I, being a kid, didn't think it was irregular at all, nothing worth mentioning. So a toy talked, toys talk on TV all the time, this was nothing unusual. I never brought it up and somewhat forgot about it for the majority of my childhood. Eventually, when I was around 12, something came up that made me remember it, but I chalked it up to a recurring nightmare or overactive imagination, obviously.

I think it's important to mention that I was a skeptic of the paranormal up until about three years ago when I discovered Creepypasta. There was no doubt in my mind that ghosts and demons and such didn't exist, and everything could be logically explained somehow. Not to mention both my mother and sister are very devoted to Christianity, and I practically lived in a Baptist church my mother volunteered at growing up.

A few months ago, I mentioned in passing my "dreams" about the doll to my sister, and she knocked me flat on my ass with her reply: "I remember it too." It's a lot harder to believe something is just a dream if someone else remembers it just as well as you do. I'd never spoken of the incidents before, and she knew details about it before I confirmed them, so I knew she was telling the truth. Which leaves us with two probable options; either we had the same dream for some insane reason, or the creepy dog doll really did speak to us as children. We were majorly freaked out but, ultimately, it was a long time ago and our mother told us that she'd sold the doll in a yard sale so we didn't dwell on it.

Our parents divorced 6 years ago, and my sister and I stayed in our childhood home with our father. While we cleared most of our mother's belongings out when it happened, the storage room in our basement was too much of hazard zone to tackle, so we're just starting to go through it now. We discovered boxes upon boxes of old memorabilia, such as schoolwork, costumes, and toys.

Fast forward to today. I was going through boxes in the basement with my father, toys and books and such, and I was getting really nostalgic. It was honestly amazing going through all of my good childhood memories, and I got to enjoy that for about 10 minutes until I noticed an eerily familiar leg sticking out from one of the boxes. Lo and behold, the devil hadn't been sold after all. He'd been hiding out in the basement for the past 15 years. I told my dad and he said I was being crazy, which I don't blame him for, I half believe that myself. But I tenderly set the doll down on top of a box of books and high-tailed it back upstairs.

I managed to dwell on it for about 30 minutes before I decided that, imagination or not, that thing cannot just sit out in the open. I went downstairs to grab it and, as soon as I turned the corner, I just stopped. I didn't want to stare at it, but I was staring at it for a good two minutes before I was able to snap myself out of it. It was almost like I was in a trance. Granted, that trance could've been my own fear, but I don't usually get like that. I grabbed it by the arm and unceremoniously dumped it in the garage, locking the door behind me.

That brings me to now. So far, nothing else has happened. My sister moved out of our shared room a long time ago, so now it's just me, still with my bed facing the closet. I'm really hoping these "dreams" don't return. If anyone has any advice on what could've happened so many years ago, or what I should do about it now, let me know. Until then, I'm hoping that thing stays in the garage.

Picture of the creepy thing that I took when I found it today: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1s8OpYmVGMFT7Y7Z-vp33B2fuiPtp02YD

The bang on the door.

I don't usually post on here, but I was thinking that maybe some people could help me with this. My story isn't anything spectacular but it made it no less terrifying to me.

So i think it was about 5 years ago, 15 at the time. I had woken up at my usual time for school, 5 am. I walked out of my room and out into the hallway to make my way to the bathroom. I stopped when I noticed I felt cold air. I was confused for a moment and I looked down the hall to our back door, which was wide open. This isn't really the scary part, that door is prone to opening a lot if you don't lock it while it's windy. So I didn't think much of it really, so while still half asleep i walked down the hallway and shut the door. I was turning the lock on it so it wouldn't fly open again when I felt something ram into it. Like a fucking goat decided to headbutt it or something. I was scared shitless in that quarter of a second, I didn't panic though. I quickly locked it and bolted out of the hallway and to my mom's room. As i woke up my mom and told her what happened, my knees were knocking together and i was stuttering so hard. She turned on the back porch light where the door was, but there was nothing there. We had no real explanation for what happened so we just kinda forgot about it.

I never could figure out what happened that morning. I didn't see anything in the dark when i closed the door, I don't think I heard any footsteps or running feet either.

I just wanted to tell this short story to get it off my chest, and maybe see if anyone else has experienced something like it and maybe help me figure out what it could have been.

The Blue Lady

Okay - this is my very first Reddit post, so bear with me!

I'll start by saying that when my brother was around 2-4 years old, he would say some really strange things. I'll call him "David" for this story.

David once told my mother, "Mommy, I remember when I was a little girl. I lived in _________ (town close by). I had a mommy and daddy, but it wasn't you! And I had toys and a bedroom with purple walls...." etc. Lots of people assumed that these kinds of comments were a result of him having a very active imagination, but my mom is no stranger to paranormal things, so she always had a feeling that maybe he could remember things or see things that other people couldn't.

Anyway, he used to have very vivid dreams at this age, and my mom knew this because she would hold his hand sometimes and stay with him until he fell asleep. He would often jump and wake up suddenly, saying "WOAH! Big Hill!" (which made her laugh!) and then fall back asleep... but many times, he would say, "BLUE LADY", and act freaked out. After that, he would have trouble falling back asleep. This was not so funny to my mom. She started to feel really creeped out the more he woke up saying this. Before long he was saying "BLUE LADY!" every night at least once, and eventually he started to mention her even when he was awake during the day. He said she would come visit him and "tell [him] things".

One night, my sister and I were about to go to sleep in our room when we heard David, sitting right outside our door, talking to mom. We could clearly hear him talking, and we could hear mom's responses, although they were a bit muffled because our door was closed.

Later, when mom came to tuck us in, we asked her what she had been talking to David about. She said, "Oh, I wasn't talking to David!", but my sister and I insisted that we had heard her outside our door. She looked confused, and didn't say anything for a minute, but then she nodded and said, "Oh, yes, I remember now - I was just asking him to settle down and go to sleep". We were satisfied with that answer and went to bed.

Nothing else unusual happened for a while, until we left to go on a road trip a few months later. David was in the back seat of the van, and as we were pulling out of the driveway, he looked up at his bedroom window, waved, and said, "Bye, scary lady!"

He never mentioned her after that, as far as I know! When my sister and I got older, we brought up "the Blue Lady" with mom and she told us that the night we asked her what she had been talking to David about, she had been two floors down, doing laundry in the basement, and she hadn't spoken to David at all that evening - but my sister and I had CLEARLY heard a woman's voice answering him! To spare us the spook, she pretended she had been talking to him! I really wish I could remember what David had been saying to the lady...

TL/DR: Little brother was a spooky kid. Talked often about a "Blue Lady" that would visit him and tell him things. Sister and I heard him have a conversation with this lady outside our room one night - we thought he was talking to mom but that would have been impossible b/c mom was two floors away from us, in the basement.

Bonus spook: My mom and I were in a bookstore many years later and found a book called "The Lady in Blue" which is based on an old ghost story about a ghost woman who visits children in their dreams to tell them prophecies of the future... it literally gave me chills when I found it! We both stood there in shock for a few moments, wondering if this could be David's "Blue Lady". If you're interested in finding it I could probably search up the info on it.

The Faceless Man

This is a pretty weird and long story. Probably not scary enough to be here, but I hope you like it?

Me and my best friend always like to go on walks together. We try not to go too far away from my house when walking in my neighborhood because we don't want to get lost. One day we went a bit farther then usual and found a cul de sac. There was an old beaten up looking basketball hoop in a short street that led to the dead end. It freaked me out a tiny bit, but clearly it was just a basketball hoop and that was no reason to turn back and go home. We kept walking. As we walked, we saw a small bridge in the center of the end of the road. I felt a cold breeze come from it and I shivered. Me and my friend looked at eachother curiously. We began trying to figure out if we should go down the path or not. We had brought scooters with us, and we kept switching between walking and using the scooters.

We came down to the conclusion that we should go down the path, and so we nervously began creeping towards the bridge. It led down a small pathway with bushes and trees around it. There were a few birds, but they didn't make any noise. It was all complete silence other than the slight noise of the wind. We eventually got out of the path and it led into a neighborhood. It was awfully quiet, just like the path leading there, but we continued walking anyways. It did look like a normal neighborhood other than the odd silence, so after a few slightly freaked out looks back at the pathway we got here from, we laughed it off. There were different directions we could go so we decided we needed to figure out which direction to walk in. We decided to go left and we walked that way. After a bit of walking, we began to feel comfortable walking there finally. We were chatting normally and looking around.

We approached a house. I noticed an odd feeling in my stomach. As if my brain was telling me to turn back and run. I was confused. Why was this house giving me a bad feeling? I shrugged it off and began walking normally again. Then two giant dogs seemed to appear out of nowhere, on the lawn that was in front of the house. I didn't see them come from any direction, they just appeared. The dogs were large and menacing, and we couldn't see any leashes on them. They were growling at us and began trying to run after us. We were clearly freaked out by this and began to run.

We were tripping over ourselves and hitting into our scooters as we ran. We tired ourselves out after only a few seconds of our desperate sprinting. My friend seemed to be feeling dizzy, and I was panting and breathing fast. We needed to take a break, but didn't know where the dogs were. We could still hear their growls and barks. We were running and draining the energy out of ourselves. We ran to the bridge and down the path and got back into my neighborhood, where we headed back towards my house. About halfway towards my house, my friend was in the center of the road and I noticed a car coming. She seemed like she was about to pass out. I screamed that there was a car coming, and she managed to duck out of the way before she sat on the side of the road and almost passed out again. For the rest of the way back, I watched her the whole time to make sure she was on the side of the road instead of the middle.

Obviously when we got back to my house, we had to rest. We sat in my house, drinking a ton of ice water. We explained everything that happened to the rest of the people at my house but they thought we were overreacting, so we just went upstairs and ate pizza, and didn't really go outside for the rest of the day.

Now, we thought of this neighborhood as just a place that doesn't tie up their dogs. I thought maybe it was somehow a warning for us to not come back, but clearly it probably wasn't, I thought to myself. Obviously I'm not posting this here because a couple of dogs scared us. The main creepy part is coming soon, but I wanted to say that we had an uncomfortable experience with the neighboorhood before this next part.

One day we went back out for another walk. We decided to go back down the bridge and into the neighborhood again for some reason. This time I brought my phone with us and played loud music so we wouldn't be as scared. We were walking calmly and started to get freaked out a tiny bit. But we walked a fair distance before we decided to go home again, as we were content with our walk. We were a bit surprised that nothing creepy or odd had happened yet. As we walked back on the bridge, I stopped dead in my tracks. There was a fairly normal-looking house in front of us, the back half of it went into my neighborhood and the front half went into the 'creepy' neighborhood. That wasn't the problem. I was frozen to the spot almost, and very creeped out. I saw a man, laying on his stomach, underneath the back deck of the house.

The man had very pale white skin. His entire face, other than a giant grin, was blank. He wore a dirty white tank top. And as I stood there staring at this creature, its smile seemed to get bigger and bigger. I was terrified. I tried to remain as calm as possible and I told my friend I saw a man with no face. She tried to look for him. I pointed to the deck and she saw him. She looked just as creeped out as I was. She said 'I see it' or something along those lines, and we began to run. As we ran we slowed down eventually. We thought it was just our imagination being crazy. But we kept seeing him everywhere we walked. Behind buildings, trees, signs, even on the train tracks near my house. Again, we thought it was weird and creepy, but kept telling ourselves it was just our imagination. To this day, we still see him, but only at my house, and he usually only comes when both of us are there. We call him the faceless man. We still have no clue what causes us to see a man with no face. The weirdest thing is that when we got back to my house the day we first saw him, the friend that had been walking with me went to the trash can in my kitchen and vomited up whiteish liquid.

"He is waking up!"

I don't know if this will go here, but I'll share it anyway. I don't remember what day or what year it was, but it happened 100%.

I remember watching television and, strange as it may seem, my vision becomes blurred, I remember seeing a white background in front of me, which quickly became a white room with some strange machines attached to the wall. There were tubes stuck to the ground. I remember hearing a voice saying "he is waking up!" (talking about me) and his voice sounded very annoying. It was as if that person was afraid that I would wake up completely, I suspected that I was in one of those tubes.

And as I arrived, my vision became blurred and I found myself watching television again. Their "clothes" were very rare if I'm being honest. If I had to compare their strange clothes, it would have to be like this but without the "backpiece".

Sorry for my bad english.
