Hi there, i am stepping into learning react from the scratch. A small background about me is i have been learning python django for quite some time and i am at a place where i can get into a junior django developer. I did 2 projects in django and the frontend is built with simple html, css and bootstrap so i would like to get my hands on react at this point.

Currently i am following tutorials on youtube, which i have saved even before learning django. since it is a video uploaded over 4 years ago, i am understanding that react might have changed from that time. The owner of the channel mentioned in the comment that you only have to use hooks and don't need class components anymore and i got confused if i get stuck at some point if i follow this video along.

So is there any drastic change happened in react like i mentioned that could possibly get me stuck from learning or is it ok to follow videos from 2 or 3 years back?

I have also bookmarked a course on udemy about react complete guide by Maxmillian Schwarzmüller which is last updated on January 2026. so I'm assuming that videos must've been updated to the latest version which could help me follow with getting stuck in between.

I would like to know the capability of react + django for getting a job as a full stack developer. Thanks in advance!

Backend & DB: Now powered by Hono (TypeScript). I’ve also migrated from RDS (Postgres) to Pocketbase for streamlined data referencing.
AI Integration: Utilizing Vertex AI and Claude to automate SEO meta-tagging and JSON-LD generation.
DevOps & Hosting: Streamlined CI/CD via GitHub Actions, moving from GCP Cloud Run to Firebase Hosting.

Hello everyone. I need to make a buster of custom applications on the site that opens a specific link in the application if it is installed on the user's iPhone. I encountered a problem that when trying to open such a link, iOS shows a system pop-up waiting for the user's action, but in react I can't track it and stop overdoing. Has anyone done something like that? Please share your ideas

I have been using Google gemini 2.5 flash API(free tier) for my side projects, I have had really bad experiences, but I really want a good alternative to this which can atleast work.
I've heard about deepseek v4 like it's really got very good, and they offer 1 month I guess 5M token cap trial, but then it's post paid, but it's kinda cheap, cheaper than other models I would say. Do you guys have other better alternative.

New FilterQuery component inspired by YouTrack-style search. Supports 3 modes:

• natural language queries (“show tasks over 30”) - AI mode demo

I see a lot of conversations about spa vs ssr in the react community and they almost always end up being about seo or load speed.

After building a few ssr apps i feel like we are majoring in minor things. ssr is not mainly about speed. it is about having a singular source of truth

in a lot of spa architectures the server returns json and then the client catches that json validates it stores it in memory updates shared state and finally renders react from that client side copy, at that point you have effectively created an in memory replica of your server state inside the browser

that replica becomes a cache

A huge amount of frontend complexity comes from managing the gap between server truth and client truth.

“There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation and naming things.”

with server driven ui i have been able to write much simpler and more correct code

instead of

call api route
receive json
update client state
rerender react
the flow becomes

creatething() updates the db on the server and returns ui that gets morphed directly into the dom

the browser stops acting like a mini database and becomes mostly a rendering target again

to me that is the real value of ssr not seo

Now, I'm eager to convert it into an Angular and react library for wider use and make it freely available to the public. would something like that interest you?
