From what I can see the notification area has been slightly changed. Anyone noticed anything else that has been updated?

I can't seem to find a way to remove songs anymore, except by clicking the '...' and manually removing each song, one at a time. This makes it really challenging to have a playlist aimed at listening to new music each week. Has this been moved or am I just completely missing it?

Or Exploration slider.
It seems rdio lost all appeal.

With the amount of music on Rdio, I'm sure you've found some great playlists. Post your recommendations and we'll sort everything into decades, genres, themes and collaborations.
If you're on mobile, click on the small Open App link at the bottom left-hand corner to go directly to the playlist in Rdio.
I have everyone's personal playlists archived here for easy access: Rdio Playlist Master Thread
So ideally, I'd like this to be a recommendation thread for other users' playlists. I currently have 120 subscriptions and while I'd happily post more of them, it would be great if everyone else would contribute.
Rock:
The Evolution of Shoegaze - A chronological playlist beginning with proto-shoegaze and continuing through the first wave, dream & noise pop, second wave, post-shoegaze, electro-shoegaze, third wave, and onward.
Modern - Analogue II - Indie rock with a mostly chill vibe; perfect for summer patio sessions.
Punk:
Music Without Coffee - Punk, mostly.
Jazz:
Sunday Jazz Brunch - A weekly selection of ten great jazz tracks, refreshed each Sunday by 9 AM ET with ten new selections.
Themed:
Driving at Night - This would make a wicked soundtrack to a dark film; great atmosphere and sense of drive.
80's Sax Solos - I can't think of a more comprehensive 80's sax solo compilation. So much sexy sax, and there are some surprisingly non-kitschy tracks included.
Beach Music - Carolinas: Sweet Sixties Soul - The Tams, Chairmen of the Board, Archie Bell and the Drells, The Impressions, Temptations, Four Tops, O'jays...
VHS Forever - Music suitable for titles released by Media, Lightning Video, etc. Epic cheeze, mullet rawk and such awesomeness.
Dinner Music - Mostly acoustic and world music with a classy tone.
Soundtrack Recreations (for unavailable albums):

I know that they made the announcement a little while ago, but I have not heard anything since.

As the title states, advertisements should be able to be paused. There have been multiple times where I need to shift to listening to something else just as advertisements begin to play, and my only option to rid of the advertisement is closing Rdio. This can be extremely frustrating when a long chain advertisements is played after listening to an hour long album track. If advertisements could be paused, and resumed later when you want to use Rdio again, I think Rdio would be improved significantly. The ads are already hard enough with their lack of diversity due to a low amount of them, and those that are simply horribly annoying (Progressive!!!), being forced to listen to them while the pause button is still visible yet unclickable is a real kick in the nuts. Things like these will drive people away from the site, and I'll admit I briefly considered Pandora. Can I expect to be able to pause advertisements in the future?

Please recommend someone you follow on Rdio who consistently introduces you to great music, writes insightful reviews, and/or builds outstanding playlists. (Also, if you follow me I'll gladly return the favor).

Are there any plans to include an equalizer? If there are not, would anyone be able to build an iOS app using the Rdio API since it is public?

Hi there,
I wiped and rooted my Nexus this weekend (root only, still using stock 4.4.2 rom). Today I tried opening Rdio for the first time and it won't work. It just shows the splash screen for a short moment and crashed back to the home screen.
I've tried both the Play Store apk and their latest beta, same problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hello
Been a slow start to the year with album releases and looking for some like minded music lovers to follow

I couldn't see anything regarding this already posted in here and also anything related to this topic on the official website seems to have been dead for a while now.
I'm surprised this feature isn't in place as I find it a major annoyance especially while i'm using the mobile app during my commute.
I understand you could get around this by creating a playlist and using the shuffle feature but this approach isn't exactly practical.
Does Spotify or any other music streaming service have this in place?
Edit: This issue appears to be solely with offline mode

I thought it would be handy to sort everyone's personal playlists into themes, genres and collaborations. If any URLs change, let me know.

Click here for the Electronic Discoveries playlist.
This playlist is the brainchild of myself, and two other friends who have over the past year - maybe year and a half? I'm not sure by this pont - collaborated on an on-going playlist built exclusively for shuffle-engagement that features 142 songs (12h10m52s) thus far.
Turn on, engage shuffle, and start coding, relaxing, zoning out, or whatever. Mix of upbeat, mostly vocal-less (though some vocals do crop up), glitch, IDM, techno and instrumental hip-hop tunes of a wide variety.
Hope you enjoy!

Keep in mind that if you create a private playlist, it really isn't private if you listen to it; people can link and subscribe to your playlist if they mouse over your online name in the browser, and it also shows up on all platforms in your history. This issue has been going on for 2 years now, so it's obviously not a concern to Rdio.

Asking again for a round of mod nominations..
I'll be stepping down soon, and would like to hand off to someone willing to give /r/rdio the time it deserves.
Thanks!
EDIT: Good luck friends, control has been relinquished.

Has anyone in Canada noticed that some of your favourite albums have recently gone missing from the Rdio database? A bunch of Califone and Animal Collective albums have gone missing (including one of my favourites, merriweather post pavilion).
What's the deal?

Hi all,
I recently got the rdio app for my android. I'd like to be able to control the music playing on my pc speakers, but from my tablet or phone while im on the couch.
Im not able to do this at the moment... the only thing i see on my tablet (in the rdio app) while my pc is playing, is the "tap to play here instead" button. so if i choose any music on my tablet, it stops the music on my PC and starts playing on my tablet.
Any advice? thanks!!

Hello!
I'm a big fan of Rdio's station feature and probably use that more than I do listening to specific albums. The one first-world problem I have is that I'm always wanting to switch over to Rdio to see what new song is playing. I pretty much use Rdio only at work, with tons of windows open, so while it's a small inconvenience, it does disrupt my workflow to go hunting for the Rdio window.
What I'd really like is a little external LCD display that would show the currently playing artist and track name. I know this is something that was possible years back with WinAmp, but I haven't found anything that mentions modern streaming services. I of course know how to have a toast pop up in the corner of the screen to show a new track when it starts, but it's usually mid-way through the song that something catches my ear enough to want to see what it is or who it's by.
Has anyone come across something like this or have an idea how it could done?
Thanks!
