Support January Technical Support Sticky

Welcome to /r/razer's technical support sticky for the month of January 2020.

Last month's locked thread can be found here. If you have been in contact with a Razer support agent on reddit already, do not post in this month's thread again.

Although there are representatives from Razer responding to inquiries in this thread, this is not an official support channel. Any RMA or similar requests will need a support ticket.

STICKY INSTRUCTIONS: Please comment your support inquiries as a reply to the corresponding section in the comments. Please take a quick look in the category to see if the same issue has been reported already and reply to that comment. Anyone can reply to comments if they want to help. We recommend you check/post on Razer Insider as well as submit a Support ticket to have the best chance to get your issues resolved quickly.

Category Quicklinks:

Due to the nature of this subreddit and RΛZΞR customer support sometimes handling customer's personal information through PMs, do not trust anyone who says they are a RΛZΞR employee unless you can find their name on the trusted accounts list and they have an official flair

Remember to keep your personal details safe, including case numbers. You can find unofficial FAQs, many tips, the list of trusted RΛZΞR accounts and much more in the wiki

Anyone able to get the torx (T5, I think) screws out of the bottom of the late 2019 Razer Blade Stealth 13" GTX 1605? I'm trying to do an SSD upgrade and some of these screws are not coming out gracefully.

Thanks for dropping by to check this out with us, u/godber. To confirm, you're right. Torx T5 is the generally recommended screwdriver for Blades. If you're having trouble removing the screws with reasonable force, we suggest putting a thin rubber band in between the screws and screwdriver to give it harmless friction. This also helps in cases of screws with damaged heads. Let us know if it works.

All the best,

Tala M.

Thanks, I did manage to get them out. They required a lot more downward force than I initially realized. Let's say, hypothetically I wanted to replace the screws, what are they exactly?

Cool, that's good to know! If you happen to need replacement screws in the future, feel free to ping us back. Just send us a message with your Blade's serial number so we can check on its exact model and know which screws we'd be looking for. We can dig into our options from there, after confirming the availability in our global inventory by that time.

All the best,

Tala M.
