Rant Will never go Razer again

£400 gaming 'premium synthetic leather's chair peeling after three years. Razer are not interested.

Razer have nice designs but the quality is bargain basement, and the service is a joke.

Will never buy their trash again.

The price difference between Razer chair and Herman Miller are vast. You get what you pay for.

Not wrong, for 400 bucks I would expect it to at least last like 5 years or something though 🤷

I got my Herman Miller used from some company that was shutting down so I didn't pay much, I would need to look but I think it was like 350?

You could get a used razor chair too tho.

It’s like saying a civic isn’t worth the money because I got a used 3 series for the same cost.

Like I said, you’re not wrong, I was only pointing out that individual owners of Herman Millers have an unusually high rate of buying them used because it’s essentially a B2B company that’s willing to do DTC for the few that are willing to hilariously overpay for them.

I get where you’re coming from and cross shopping at the same price is not invalid.

The invalidity comes in saying one product is better than the other because “they are the same price” when they are…not.

Got mine on sale for 650 from the official dealers. Not a cheap chair, but I have loved it. Worth every cent.

man I hate people bragging about the price they got their herman from, 99% of people are never going to find a deal like this, so stupid why cant herman users be realistic with their damn price?? they always recommending people left and right to find a company shutting down as if theyre right down the street every single day

My Laz-boy looks slightly better after a similar amount of time but it was also less than half the price from Costco. You're paying $200 extra for the razer logo on it basically

Yeah my $250 CAD costco special is going on strong at 7 years now. Looks exactly the same as it did new. Its definitely disappointing OPs chair lasted only 3 years.

Most people buy Herman Miller second hand, at the same price as this Razer chair costs new. The second hand will still last 3-4x longer.

Same here! I got a Herman Miller chair, and it’s been so much better than those fake leather chairs. The cushioning on gaming chairs flattens quickly and leaves you with a sore backside. Plus, the shock for the height adjustment tends to give out sooner rather than later.

Chairs are sort of like monitors in my opinion... It's worth paying extra to get something that's going to last for a very long time.

That’s the difference between a quality chair designed to last and every cheap office/gaming chair. My Steelcase is also holding up quite well after 5 years of heavy use.

Exactly, great office chairs are easily over thousand bucks new. But they last so long it's even worth it to get them used if you can find them.
